This song interpreted by Ray-an Fuentes and Tillie Moreno was one of the finalists in the 2nd Metro Manila Popular Music Festival in 1979. Although this piece didn't win any place, it became one of the biggest music hits during that time.
This wonderful arrangement by Filipino virtuoso guitarist Monching Carpio can be easy to underestimate and can make one think it's easy to play, but the contrary is true. The score I have has several difficult passages I could not play no matter what I did or how much I practiced. When I watched Monching's video, I noticed he made changes to these very passages that were giving me grief and "simplified" them. I took the time to learn his video version and that was the only time I could play it through and through. All in all, it took me 2 weeks to get it to this playing level.
