So before you apply the sealer, you said sand it down. My concern is will it look too faded after sanding and wiping off excess dust and debris? And can you use a damp cloth to wipe it before applying the sealer?
Yes sanding before gloss application is preferably the best way and wiping away access debris & dust is a must. Using a wet cloth is also safe
I get this question fairly often about the visual appearance of the sneaker after it is sanded then glossed , but this method does work well.
@@Sneakerrestoration bruh I feel better about that one. I got a pair of the gym reds but I messed up a part of the leather when I reglued the sole on one shoe, so I'm just gonna strip all of the leather finish off that one, thanks 👍🏿

There are handpainting methods with the black gloss. But for the clear gloss you'll need an airbrush.

Brother what about the leather where the jumpman is located on the upper. I tried to use one of those bristle brushes to clean my shoes and some of the red paint came off and now it looks like a black stain on one of my shoes. I must have been scrubbing too hard but I'm really hurt about it man. Can you give some advice plz? I can PayPal you if it helps

Can you repaint Patton leather with a brush?
You can depending on the area and depth of the damage. I'd recommend wipe on sealer and or a patent hand painting kit. You can check them out on ebay
@@Sneakerrestoration separate question. I’m finding it virtually impossible to get white paint to cover and be a solid white colour within a reasonable number of layers. CZcams that they’re able to do this with a paintbrush. I absolutely cannot see how it’s possible. I missing something? Or is it not achievable with a paintbrush. Only an airbrush?

Y wet sand when u could just use acetone🤷🏽♂️
Acetone may burn a hole 2 deep in the patent.
