Today I show you just how much we need the rain with how empty our spray dam is! But it is also the last day of spreading.....sort of. We get the last of the wheat done so the program is finished!
Congrats! You got closest!! Total was 12100kg. Can you send me an email jh_carmody@bigpond.com with your address so I can send you a hat and stubby holder!!
hi JH, nice job with the boundary fence. Those big 6 m steel gates have a habit of sagging over time. You could place a large flat stone where they come together, so the gates have something to rest on (keep them level). Large stone with a bit of grading will be no problem to drive over.
Really hope your whole area gets some significant rain soon because you can surely use it. And your very nice fence needs an automatic power gate and lockable latch!! Great video...thanks!!
That looks like about 7450kgs of unused sustain to me! Good luck with getting some wet stuff, it’s finally become winter and raining properly here in South Australia!
Approx 3.6 ton or 3600kg. Wouldn't mind a inch or 25mm of rain too , central Vic . Need to put an old plough disc on the ground to support gates when closed , hinges will pull through post and gates will sag
Hey JH. Great videos found your channel during seeding this year, then hit your podcasts as well can’t get enough of them. 🤘I think you have 8215kg left on the floor. Cheers
I was going to ask about wildlife. I don't think you've ever shown kangaroos or anything before. With such little water it's no wonder that there's nothing about, I suppose.
Hope you get rain soon! Out of interest are you able to have a borehole or well drilled for use at times like these for Spraying and the houses ? 4190kg left in the shed !
Unfortunately not, our ground water is all salty. There is the rare fresh water soak around but we haven't been so lucky as to have one on our properties
Its not on the cards this year for me, and I believe Henry will be on holidays when it comes around this year. I'll be going to Newdegate though as its nice and close and a good excuse for a day out!
Unfortunately not, our ground water is all salty. There are the rear cases of a fresh water soak around the place but we haven't been so lucky as to find one
I say there's 12,350 kgs left

8.2 t. Why do you fill up chaser bin and bring it to the spreader? Less travelling
We could do that, however it is quite corrosive to be putting through the chaser bins. Best to keep it on something that always handles Fert.
hope you guys get rain and 4.150T
