Thanks for saying what we were all thinking. This is gambling, and the worst kind of it at that. I think skin crates are fine, since they give no competitive advantage. This on the other hand creates a ton of problems, namely game balance. People don't have to play the game anymore, or at least not well. If they have enough money, they can just keep gambling for nuke and make the game insanely easy. Plus with the new VIP+ subscription, you get a 100% luck bonus, further incentivizing people to spend tons of cash on the game. It's fine if they want to make the game p2w, but if you're going to do it just be up front about it. Don't make people spend extra due to "luck". We came here to play a tower defense game, not a glorified gacha game with "oh yeah, and there's tower defense if you want to".
They get paid little to nothing but your right P2w for a LITTERAL NUKE is absurd and 100% chance for it for 4.99$ a month is insane But they do need alot of money they just took the wrong approach for this
i hate the idea of consumables but maybe if they approach this like a gcrate and let you have infinite abilities(there are already limits in matches) for a high cost like 10k or 20k, it might be pretty cool to see new strats with more micro
this update is going to be awful, either A) power ups make the game too easy or B) they game is balanced around using the one-time-use items you have to grind, it's over bros

Hey Elite, fan here letting you know that you can get nukes from mid tier crates as well as low tier (I got 2 nukes from blasting 20k coins on mid tier crates).
And also, the gane estructure is completely broken, i was playing pw2 and an amalgamation just bugged and was invencible, and also some waves that only comes 1 enemy

Tip for people that is new for farm:when youre farming,firstly upgrade the farm to level 1 other than buyying 2 farms,since the lvl up is cheaper and gives 50 money thats the same as a lvl 0 farm

elite I have an Idea! A dj, with a bunch of clumped together gladiators plus commander plus damage flag plus fire rate flag to get as much dps as you can with buffs (maybe even asking a dev to use that one admin tower that can buff towers by 20%)
First of all you can even use the powerups in HC mode and also getting a nuke without robux is not that bad because they made the low grade creates more cost efficient. VIP+ is a big cash grab. Also people think that TDS is copying TDX but this update was in the works for almost a year now. (But yea there still copying)
tdx after adding another mode: 15k active players tds after stealing the idea of adding another mode: 35k active players tdx after adding power ups before tds: 15k active players tds after stealing the idea: 20k+ active players
The saddest part about it is, that they basically did it a bit after GDI released an EXACTLY identical update with such features, but in TDX you can't buy them (or don't "have" to.) but rather can earn them through rounds. And of course there's also BTD, however they had that feature for longer and TDS hasn't bothered it since now, thus I doubt they copied it after BTD and rather TDX.
It’s not copying. Just because tdx had power ups before tds doesn’t mean they “created” them. Nonetheless, they probably both got their inspirations from BTD6
13 days late but I think consumables should be usable in hardcore but they should have some limit like only being able to use it once and also have less damage on certain ones, for example: nuke deals 25k instead of 50k and supply crate only gives you 800 instead of 1.200 dollars.

Powerups were won from just playing the game, And could've been bought directly but at a pretty steep cost. I think that TDS should probably implement the same thing by making it to where you can get powerups for winning games. Makes more sense anyways imo
Haven't seen the whole video for myself, but this update sounds like another cash grab like Skibity Toilet Defense with the gambling for needed items. I guarantee there will be strategies where you need a nuke or airstrike on a certain wave. What about F2P players? In the medium crate the nuke is .75% chance.
I think it creates a new dimension of gameplay and we can create more concepts to the game, it’s here to assist the players and it allows us to play for example only with basic towers in Fallen (just an example) and way more! Plus, it is completely FREE if u just play the game lol, Elite was just too impatient and went for p2w just after opening 2 basic crates and thought it couldn’t give anything op… But you can actually get a crate at the end of each game, and can get anything in the crate 😂 So yh, for me it’s just a cool addition that makes the game funny again for old players like us who started to run out of ideas of gameplay when there is no events
You can get nukes from the mid-grade crate, I got one and didn’t spent any robux(and just like the cold front cases I used another 10k that I was trying to save for the gold crates)

elite I have an Idea! A dj, with a bunch of clumped together gladiators plus commander plus damage flag plus fire rate flag to get as much dps as you can with buffs (maybe even asking a dev to use that one admin tower that can buff towers by 20%)
First of all you can even use the powerups in HC mode and also getting a nuke without robux is not that bad because they made the low grade creates more cost efficient. VIP+ is a big cash grab. Also people think that TDS is copying TDX but this update was in the works for almost a year now. (But yea there still copying)

Powerups where leaked before TDX and intermediate was in the works for a while as well.
The saddest part about it is, that they basically did it a bit after GDI released an EXACTLY identical update with such features, but in TDX you can't buy them (or don't "have" to.) but rather can earn them through rounds.
And of course there's also BTD, however they had that feature for longer and TDS hasn't bothered it since now, thus I doubt they copied it after BTD and rather TDX.

13 days late but I think consumables should be usable in hardcore but they should have some limit like only being able to use it once and also have less damage on certain ones, for example: nuke deals 25k instead of 50k and supply crate only gives you 800 instead of 1.200 dollars.
(No hate but)I honestly think that TDX's method of powerups made way more sense than what TDS did. Powerups were won from just playing the game, And could've been bought directly but at a pretty steep cost. I think that TDS should probably implement the same thing by making it to where you can get powerups for winning games. Makes more sense anyways imo

The consumable is just another skill with being way overpowered. Prob they need to cost ingame cash before they use it.

Haven't seen the whole video for myself, but this update sounds like another cash grab like Skibity Toilet Defense with the gambling for needed items. I guarantee there will be strategies where you need a nuke or airstrike on a certain wave. What about F2P players? In the medium crate the nuke is .75% chance.

I think it creates a new dimension of gameplay and we can create more concepts to the game, it’s here to assist the players and it allows us to play for example only with basic towers in Fallen (just an example) and way more! Plus, it is completely FREE if u just play the game lol, Elite was just too impatient and went for p2w just after opening 2 basic crates and thought it couldn’t give anything op… But you can actually get a crate at the end of each game, and can get anything in the crate 😂
So yh, for me it’s just a cool addition that makes the game funny again for old players like us who started to run out of ideas of gameplay when there is no events
You can get nukes from the mid-grade crate, I got one and didn’t spent any robux(and just like the cold front cases I used another 10k that I was trying to save for the gold crates)

sad that u cant use it on hardcore :/ but you can use it on polluted wastelands still! also barricade is literally op if you have multiple ppl use it, they can tank the first like 7 waves
at the start watching elite buying high grade crates makin me go insane cuz i got 4 nukes and 3 blizzards from almost 10 low grade crates and watching him spend robux and strugle is just hard to watch

Idk they make you play casino to get nuke and more. It would be better if they make it buy able for coins or gems (well mabe nuke for gems) by not playing casino and buying creats.

You can get the Nuke from the medium-grade crate, I got eight of them from it. It's just very unlikely.
