I love the story about your grandfather finding the bracelet in the dirt. Can you imagine finding something like that by accident?!!!
Omg, love your pieces wish I could show you mine! The second time you telling the story about your mom and grampa bracelet and it's heartwarming every time you tell the story! And your squash blossom is by Anna Sheffield and it's worth is $12,500.00! But it's real value has no price tag. God Bless you. I hope it helped you Selena.
Your Squash Blossom is definitely from the SW part of the US. It is REAL turquoise and all hand made Native American. The turquoise might be from Kingman, AZ. Your squash is a beautiful vintage piece. (BTW, I worked at a jewelry store in Albuquerque, New Mexico where we sold authentic Navajo, Zuni, etc. jewelry.)
The south west part of the USA is a very unique and beautiful. My husband and I were there in our RV in 2005 and actually stayed a week Albuquerque,N.M. and travelled to Colorado, Utah, Arizona and of course I bought lots of Navajo, Zuni turquoise. Exceptional craftmanship.
I have a chart that has a map of where the old turquoise mines in the southwest are or were located and how you can tell by the colour and inclusions of the turquoise which mine it might have come from. So interesting. Your collection is wonderful!!!
!
There is a small Victorian town on the No. California coast called Ferndale. Every September they hold a city wide yard sale. Lots of antiques there. Closer to time you can check the Chamber of Commerce for the exact dates. It’s always a Fri. Sat. And Sun.
Sounds amazing! I grew up in Eureka:)
Beautiful collection! Love the cuff bracelet your dad found in the yard. Your squash blossom necklace is amazing. I love the charm of the old patina on sterling jewelry.
I love turquoise! My FIL passed a year ago and he had a large ring that none of the kids wanted. My MIL let me have it. I’ll cherish it forever.
I wish I had a 10th of your style and decorating sense...always a pleasure watching your videos...Laura too....you girls are truly special 😘
Great looking collection! I love Navajo and Hopi pieces.
Your “staging” of items is so beautiful Selena! So fun to watch you and Laura also when you 2 find the goodies! Thanks for sharing. Getting my oxygen tank ready for the estate sale series! Can’t wait!
My favorite piece is the necklace displayed with the squash blossom necklace. I remember wanting one as a teenager in the 1970's. Also, love the charm of the bracelet your grandfather unearthed.
Selena, thanks for sharing your loot, excited for your sale next week! Stay safe and well 👏🎉❤️
Your squash blossom turquoise looks quite similar to some Blue Diamond turquoise specimens. Blue Diamond turquoise tend to have these really dark speckled matrixes mixed with a greyish matrix. Yours looks like that. It's a really beautiful piece!
Selena you do such a great job! I love your videos and all the stories and history. The rings were so beautiful on your long pretty fingers! Have fun wearing them!
I love that kind of jewelry myself and found a few of them similar to to those!
I love seeing collections!
I love all of them. Thank you for sharing.
Looks like a bisbee turquoise with deep blue. On the squash blossom
I will be there with bells on Selena! Your turquoise is breathtaking for sure and I can't wait to see what goodies you've sourced will wind up in my collection. xoxo patti
We miss you Patty. Hope you are ok.

I have been following Selena and you for a long time ... you are two very special ladies.Hope all is well with you.
Thanks Sweetheart! There are some beautiful pieces coming I can totally see you wearing 🥰💕💕
Love your turquoise jewelry as it is my favorite too.
Fab video Selena. When I was a young teen, me and my best friend were so into costume jewellery and beautiful clothes etc (we still are) and we always used to say " Imagine if we got locked in the theatre wardrobe department for a night!!" Or....one of our favourite vintage shops. Before all the lockdowns in the UK, we were watching your channel together and you were showing some of your favourite clothing in your dressing room and we looked at each other....eyes wide, open mouthed and exclaimed together "Oh my goodness!! Imagine getting locked in Selena's dressing room overnight!!??" Do you have nieces or friends daughters (or sons of course) who would think they were in heaven to be in your dressing room? 🤗🥰🥰🥰
I have the white stones with black veining, and it is called white buffalo turquoise.....I bought in Manitou Springs, Colorado.....I love these pieces....
Beautiful ❤❤ jewelry thank u for sharing
My eye went directly to the art deco/nouveau lamp. I remember the video when you found it!
Thanks Selena. I like all of them. You have a good selection.
Hey Squash Blossom! Nice video thanks for sharing more of your story xo~Dawn
Love your jewelry Collection also love the way the flowers look in the background the beautiful roses
Love your collection. Lol I have so much jewelry I could open my own store.
Hello. Love your channel. I recently took an old squash to a local store that’s been here in south Florida for over 30 years. A co worker’s husband passed and he had some beautiful turquoise in his collection. The owner said the squash was Navajo 1960’s 70’s. The beads were as you described. They have a seam. He said they were machine made. Mass produced. This was when turquoise Jewelry was so popular. He said the solid beads are man made. I asked about the term “Old Pawn”? He said the proper term is vintage. Old pawn was when an Indian made a piece for another Indian? Just was interesting to me. Keep up the great videos. Love!! Krista Davis
Looks like Effie Calavaza squash blossom necklace.
Beautiful pieces!!!
I take metalsmith classes. I am starting to collect sterling silver turquoise jewelry that I make. My instructor told me that white buffalo is a turquoise the reason that is white or creamy color is because is missing the copper mineral, but is still a turquoise. I will be making a jewelry piece with my white buffalo stones.
I love the lady ring. So unique and fun. What a statement piece that is also fun to wear.
Beautiful pieces 💞💞💞✨👌👌👌
Selena...to showcase special necklaces especially have you thought about
encasing them in hanging shadow boxes {with easy access backing to then be able to wear}?
This is an awesome idea!
You're very lucky, such a beautiful collection I used to wear a ring on every finger but now, with rescuing animals it's not possible. Thank you for sharing some of your collection. Lots of love Liana xx
Lovely! 💕
I love all your jewelry
You’ve taught me things I didn’t know about jewels, thank you .You have a beautiful collection Ann
Selena thank you for sharing
Talk me about a jewel collection with an history: I enjoyed every minute of it and especially your mother's bracelet -- surely a piece you'll want to keep forever! The squash blossom necklace is incredibly beautiful and the large cuff too. Well, thank you for another Friday morning starting with such beauty! Danielle 😍
Hi. These are gorgeous. Thanks for your amazing channel. Here in New Zealand I have occasionally come across some nice turquoise pieces but nothing like what you have. Love to you and Laura.
The turquoise in your squash blossom necklace looks like Bisbee.
I love the vintage green necklace it’s so delicate
You cannot date a Squash Blossom necklace by the beads because there's still people making beads that way just some people know. not as many people as used to be but there are still people making them that way.
Your Squash Blossom necklaces beautiful and the dark part that you're referring to is what's called The Matrix it is the host stone or the mother stone for the turquoise and that Brilliant Blue of turquoise is usually only found from The Bisbee mine which closed before 1980 so it's highly sought after you should look for any type of Mark or stamp on it to prove that it is from The Bisbee mind
The squash blossom turquoise looks like Bisbee Mine ….very high grade!
Beautiful collection. I love squash blossoms
Beautiful collection.
Oh you did this video two years ago so you probably know by now that the turquoise in the squash blossom necklace is valuable. I am know expert but it appears to have chocolate veining which is the rarest and most valuable. I forget the mine but I have come across a few videos on youtube and I usually save the info onto a playlist. Yes, a squash blossom necklace is on my list too.
You have some amazing pieces!! I am crushing on the squash blossom necklace. I have wanted one for years.
My favorite thing about thrifting jewelry is finding a grubby looking piece. You know it is going to clean up and be an attention getter. I have a ring like that. It has a huge blue jewel in the middle with baguette rhinestones around it. SWOON! I just love it.
Love that botanical turquoise necklace! Beautiful!
🐼 Big Bear Hugs from a 67 yr old grandma in Kirby, Texas, USA 🐼
Wow!!! My husband bought me a squach blossom necklace 2020 x-mas. I searched everywhere. So expensive. I love mine!
Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing.
White Buffalo is not turquoise because it’s not chemically similar because it has no iron in it to give it the blue color but it does have the pyrite veining.
Jesus Christ....omG....imagine finding that in the dirt....wow....wow....wow
Would love a squash blossom and a cuff like that. Beautiful
Stunning collection thanks
The squash blossom necklace could be Bisbee of Morenci mine turquoise.
Awesome bracelet. I love that color turquoise. 🦋🦋🦋
First small stone necklace is Zuni. Large stone squash blossom necklace is Apache. Possibly from four corners area?
Omgoodness, the lady turquoise ring, I want that!
You have a beautiful turquoise silver collection. I love your squash blossom necklace!!!!
You are correct. It’s white Buffalo. Love you collection. ❤️
I think your squash blossom is Bisbee turquoise.
Love the 4th one the really old one thats dainty and more green!!So pretty!!
love the story about finding the cuff in the dirt
This is amazing for no reason at all I put on my turquoise jewelry this morning .. went on utube and saw you had uploaded your turquoise collection .. our stars must be aligned. Beautiful collection thanks for sharing.
Haha that’s so awesome! So glad you are wearing your beautiful pieces today:)
Beautiful collection!
That 1033 bracelet is gorgeous! Love it!!!
I was able to buy myself your 1st cuff bracelet in New Zealand. I was thrilled. I'm searching for a squash blossom. Your comment of only retaining the best you can affort, or waiting for that piece, I have taken to heart.
Love your Jewelry Collection! So pretty 🙂
Ok turquoise looks amazing on you
Roystion turquoise looks like Egypt mania in the 1920's the metal fan design is egyptian you see them on the wall reliefs.
Selena I love all of your turquoise pieces that you have each one is so beautiful thanks for sharing 🥰🦋🌻🐝
White Buffalo Turquoise is Not Turquoise at all. It is actually a stone called Howlite. Howlite is easily dyed a turquoise color and past off as Genuine turquoise. You really need to know the stone so you won’t get duped. I still have all my lovely Turquoise pieces I bought in the late 60’s and early 70’s. They were so much cheaper back then and were sold in record and paraphernalia shops. Ahhhhhhh, the 70’s!
If you saw my Turquoise collection you’d flip your lid. I have some rare pieces that weren’t known to exist. Only enough was found to make so many pieces. I collect turquoise from all over the world. I love when younger girls get into what I’ve been doing for years.
I replied before you finished your video and now realize you spoke of howlite and it being dyed. My bad!
You have a gorgeous collection.
I'm a silversmith. My experience out the gate was at the quartzite gem show. A couple of strung gemstone wholesalers tucked me under their wing and taught me how to make professional silver and turquoise jewelry (beaded back then), what I learned in two months is the tip of the iceberg. You all have the advantage with everything being vlogged about on the Internet.
(yougrowgail): I recommend knowing the real thing in order to recognize fake. Your education comes cheap on the Internet with the right folks. The folks at Nevada's Royston TQ mine, look for Durango Silver Company. Thus named for their jewelry side of the business. There are some vids on turquoise, recognizing fakes etc. enjoy.
Selena, you girls are my faves, I love that people are re finding great pieces and putting them back into circulation.
Learn also about variscite, many people assume it is TQ when it's TQ colored. It's still a gem, but as the consientious gal that you are I know you would want to know the difference. Also maybe research the sad story really, but informative to sellers what old pawn is.
You rock!
The squash blossom necklace is beautiful! The other necklace has an Egyptian revival feel and, if it is, it would date from the 1920's. I have a small collection of turquoise/Navajo jewelry that I treasure and love to wear - and always try to add to!
You have a lovely collection. ❤️
Arizona Highways magazine had an entire publican dedicated to the different turquoise mines and how to tell which mine it came from. It also talks about dyed howlite and how to tell it from turquoise...and how to tell fake stones as well. There's a small mine in NV that re-opened about 20 years ago; the turquoise from that mine is mostly greenish and has a lot of matrix (matrix is the stone component as opposed to the gemstone part) Matrix often has minerals such as copper, zinc and silver, occasionally gold.
One of my favs love turquoise! Love the stories of what the pieces mean to you! God bless you,u truly are an angel! I love the videos u really know about the jewelry and explain it very well! My dad would have loved this video he loved turquoise and jewelry just in general! That's were I get it from and same with thrifting😀thank you for sharing❤️
Thank you so much. These pieces are so fun and special to collect :)
I have the same cuff that is your favorite! It was my grandma's. I would love more information if you ever find some. I've never seen another one!
WOW, your turquoise jewelry collection is quite beautiful and unique!! The only ring in your collection that is not turquoise looks like a double terminated clear quartz crystal. I have never seen one in a ring setting like yours before. Quite beautiful!!
Ugh, you’re killing me with your jewelry! 😩💗
I didn’t read the title and thought it was your jewelry sale and saw your first cuff. That is the cuff I have been looking for. I love it
Thank you so much for sharing sis now i start looking for vintage jewelary after watching your vidoes . You are so down to earth, sweet, caring and adorable sis. Take care and be safe. God bless you both, your family and friends. Love you sis ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Selena your turquoise jewelry is amazing😊
Amazing collection!! I love the variety!
I enjoyed this very much. Makes me wanna wear my turquoise ring more often. 💍💖😊
Loved the video
Hey Selena! ❤️ Your friendly florist again...
The etching on your "art nouveau" necklace has a definite Egyptian vibe, which is normal for the nouveau period... It may help you date it. The Egyptian hieroglyphics are full of that botanical design, it's how they would depict lotus flowers. I wish I could post a pic to show you the obvious similarities!
Love how you connect with the things you love... You deserve it! 😍
I’m 🤤 drooling!
Gorgeous collection, love the story behind your bracelet, and your squash blossoms necklace 💗 My Mother is a breast cancer survivor twice over💗💗💗 I am looking for the perfect moonstone ring, I had one when I was younger and someone stole along with my princess ring also on my find list💗🤍💗
They are all so beautiful!!!
Gosh u get some good deals‼️❤️😊
Love your videos!
Where ever I see a turquoise, I go straight right there like an arrow, jajaja
Wow!!! Everything is lovely pieces!!!
Hello! “White Buffalo” is not technically turquoise! Although it comes from a mine that also produces some beautiful true turquoise, it lacks certain metal elements (such as copper, iron and zinc) which are found in true turquoise. These elements are also what give turquoise its blue or green color! So it’s more of a close cousin to turquoise than anything- very similar in many ways, but a slightly different elemental composition. Either way, it’s so beautiful and you have an amazing collection!!!
