  • Is Africa the next global frontier of creative economy? The Nigerian VC, musician and engineer Mr. Eazi certainly believes so.
"Africa has over 600 million people over the age of 30. Every year, over 10 million people come out of university - and look for jobs," Mr. Eazi explained. "I’ve invested in a business called Decagon, and it trains over 600 engineers in a year. They service companies all over the world.”
It’s a huge pool of talent. How can we use technology to enhance this story? Not just in terms of arts, but also in the creation of solutions, companies and technology.
"There are probably around 2 million creators in Africa in Tik Tok at the moment, creating content for the world," says Mr. Eazi, "how do we pay 1 million creators, scattered across 54 countries to create a social campaign? That is a great tech opportunity to solve."
On the stage of Latitude59 2023, while chatting with the Estonian president Toomas Hendrik Ilves, Mr. Eazi challenged the international IT community to look for ways to connect with the African region in order to grow and mutually benefit from each other.
It's a whole new market - for recruiters, for companies expanding the client base, and even for investors to be a part of the next major success stories. How can they get access?
