I love when Kayla feels nervous about changing the rules to a challenge she gave herself. Babe who is gonna be mad? Who is holding you accountable? No one. You are the boss. It is ok.
@DONT CLICK MY VIDEOS!! MY VIDEO IS FOR COURAGEOUS i won't!❤️
She’s so kind she shouldn’t apologize
Actually
Yessss so true!!! She keeps making videos that have rules and thinks that she NEEDS to follow the rules. It’s okay to change the rules once in a while especially if she’s already done a video similar.
@DONT CLICK MY VIDEOS!! MY VIDEO IS FOR COURAGEOUS shut up
Even though Simsie has done a ton of micro homes she always forgets that sims will still use a counter if the electric stove top from Dream Home Decorator is placed on it. Cant bake anything but all other cooking options are available.
i think you can do that with dream home decorator too
I lowkey forgot about that 😂
I didn't even know that. I'll have to try it on my next build. Thanks! Lol
@@Kleines97 i use my stovetop too cook all of the time haha. have like 2 counters in my kitchen so it’s just really useful.
@@adelamizerova2420 it is DHD. I mixed up the packs.
the way kayla just straight up built a dorm room lol
I was thinking exactly this!! looks like my roommates room lol
I instantly thought the same thing lol
Maybe unpopular opinion: tiny living is the best stuff pack.
true.
NO NOT AT ALL!, I agree with you 10000000%. My only reason I’d that I can torture my sims with Murphy beds. 😁
It is that and the plant kit top tier for me.
Tiny living is hands down my favorite pack.
@@felbarashla it’s the best one.
a tip for a tiny functional kitchen is to put a mini fridge and a counter next to each other. Then put the tiny oven from Dream Home decorator on top of the fridge, and the countertop electrical stove from that pack on the counter. That way, the counter is still functional, and it’s a stove. You can also put a dishwasher in the counter.
You can just put the oven from DHD underneath the stove, don't need the countertop one at all. People always seem to think that you can't place them together but you can. Might have to use moveobjects to place it, but both are fully functional when placed together. I use them like that all the time.
I really wish the Tiny Living pack came with a toilet/sink combo. They're super eco-friendly too cause the water is recycled and are popular in Japan (I think)
City Living has toilets like that~
I live in Japan and have a sink/toilet combo, but I don't really use it because you can't use soap with it...which I find kinda nasty. But lots of people in Japan just rinse their hands in the sink toilet without soap as long as they're doing #1 only...of course...in the sims that doesn't matter though.
@@jessieperson You could use hand sanitizer after just rinsing your hands! That way your hands get clean without the soap! :3
@@RenopunkJo really? I have city living and I haven't seen one
@@RenopunkJo no...
You know that you can put the seperated oven and stove top from dream home decorator in that counter and it still functions as a counter right? Because then you have a completely functional kitchen in 2 tiles😉. Love youre videos by the way!❤️
you can't use an oven if there's a stove top over it
@@toxxicx But you can put the tiny separate oven from Dream. Home Decorator (the one that looks like a microwave or toaster) on top of the small fridge from university and then put the stove top on the counter and your sims will use the stove as a counter top. So you have a fridge, a stove, a counter and an oven in two tiles! :)
@@toxxicx yes you can. I always put the oven and stove on the same tile
@@aspenrayne5951 someone told me you couldn't so I tried and my sim was able to use the stove top but refused to use the oven
@@toxxicx I use that setup in my legacy challenge and my sims use the same counter to prepare meals, cook on the stove, and bake.
Simsie: "It doesn't Snap."
Snap: "Meow?" *uses Tail Slap in Simsie's face*
Could have added a in counter oven from dream home decorator! Cute house!
I was about to comment this!
And a tv in front of the bunk bed! There was a patch some time back that made the sims able to watch tv on beds
I've been making alot of micro homes lately, and the small wall mount TV is perfect for up on the wall across from the top bunk. They can still watch it and get fun / skill gains that way.
Similar challenge: make a 3×3 home just like this one but make it for a sim and a toddler & try to fit everything in there, good luck 😉
hmmmmmm
Todd bed under the loft bed!
*sneakily uses roofs*
I think it would be a great idea to build a camp. no tiles, just bonfire, tent and etc
I love this because you can have three of these on a lot, still be in a micro home capability and have two roommates.
Kayla is channeling peak "major city landlord" energy in this video
rent is 2000 a month
I never thought about cluttering houses to make it looked “lived in” until I watched your vids
I have a fun challenge for you!
Make a full family house (master bedroom w/ en suite, kids rooms, office, bathroom, kitchen, patio, backyard, etc.) BUT every room has to be three by three, even the backyard. I think it would be interesting to she the shell layout you come up with and the layout of the house! You choose whether it’s a one story or two! I’d love to see you try this! ❤️
To make this more functional:
- add dream home decorator separate stove on top of the counter. Your sims can cut and cook in 1 space
-shouldve put curtain over the bathroom to act like a door. Also we can fit a sink, a shower, and a toilet in 1 tile only
- add tv on top with the bunk bed, your sim can watch it while lying on bed
Thats just my take. Overall a nice house!
Can have the DHD oven in the same tile as the stove too. Meaning she could have had even more functionality out of that single tile.
I once made a 4x4 home w/o moveobjects & long before tiny living. Small wall tv over the stove. Bed acting as couch to watch the tv. A counter or two in between bed and stovevision. Wall bookshelf. Somehow still enough room for computer and separate bathroom. Theoretically never had to go outside thanks to the bills pop-up.
Lol “it’s not like we have a pandemic going on 🙄”
Smooth 😂 Also I always adore Snap’s appearances! Her little head and tail always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside 🥰
You should do a micro home shell challenge 😂🏡.
I will have a full on mental breakdown panic attack if she does that 😂
Love ur vids simsie. I don’t think u realise how much u have impacted my sims building. I can now build after 3 years of playing sims.
That is amazing I’ve been playing the sims for a long time and I still have a panic attack over roofs 😂
@@yuhhbiscuit how are you everywhere?
@@yuhhbiscuit my roofs aren’t very good but the houses are good
@@Hiya1212
✨I’m a magician✨
No just kidding I’m a cancer who doesn’t leave her house 😂
@@freyawebb3110 it’s more or less the interior that I’m kinda suckish at but I’m terrible at roofs.
You can actually put a wall on one side of the 1x1 bathroom instead of using a divider. That way you can use the small fridge with oven on top since you don't need to cover/hide the bathroom anymore. You can also make the bathroom 1step lower to add more "realism".
I would make the bathroom tile one platform lower to make sure you won’t flood the room 😂
i think it would be interesting for kayla to try a HUGE build with tons of tiles, especially because she always talks about how smaller is better. i don’t know how many tiles minimum would be considered “very large,” so if anyone has a good idea about that let me know. i’d also say the challenge works like the tiny home challenges where porches/flat ceilings aren’t allowed!
(it can be multiple floors, but i mean like the actual ceiling should be of roofs rather than layers)
This is the first thing I do in almost every game. They always end up consisting of multi-story buildings with huge apartments built around communal spaces. It'd be perfect if only I could designate lot as mixed residential/retail.
Another variant is a row of townhouses that are always way too big for the number of Sims living in it. Of course, I'm not nearly as creative.
The largest lot in Newcrest is 50x40. You can go 4 floors up and 4 down not counting the free floor within a roof/fenced open air. My math (which might be off) comes to about 16,000 tiles if you bring the structure and any patios to the near-edge of the lot. I would say a huge lot is about half that, but it might be an interesting challenge to use as many tiles as possible.
Also, tried using the Tiny House setting to count the tiles, but they max at 999. So, maybe huge is anything bigger than that.
Ahh, as a tiny home veteran I was so upset she didn't get a laptop so sims can pick between using it or using the table for something else, not putting a tv across the pillow so sims can watch it in bed, not realizing you only need one tile of the bed for it to function and just how far you can shove things into walls 😂 PAIN
Yeah and the mini fridge works as a counter.
I’m pretty sure that the University mini fridge also functions as a counter btw! I use it all the time as both when I start new legacy challenges(:
no, it doesn’t. but it is a space to hold a microwave or coffee maker, etc.
@@PositivelyNice normally it really does! you can even see in this vid at 4:22 that her sim placed the cutting board on top of the mini fridge :p i use it all the time for tiny homes
The apartment trash chute works in homes on any wall. Its one of my favorite space savings tricks.
One of the greatest pieces of Sims 3 cc I ever downloaded was a sink/toilet combo that came with a mobile home pack.
you're my comfort creator i swear
One of my favorite houses i built was a micro home for a couple and their two children. I had a 3x3 building for the bathroom and another room as a bedroom for the kids. I gave a camping tent to the adults and that was it. Basically it was an outside living home, the kitchen was just three walls with an extended roof to house the table and the chairs, every activity thingie was in the open, with a space rocket, a chcken house, a lot of gardening stuff, and so on. At some point i made a fake room on top of the bedroom to make another one, and it was still a micro home. One of the houses I had the most fun playing with !! It's so nice to see your sims spend all their time in their garden (except when there's a thunderstorm)
Omg I love micro homes; I can’t live without tiny homes😂💕
Just discovered your channel, and you're ADORABLE. ❤️ Also, you have totally transformed the way I build in The Sims! I've never watched Sims CZcamsrs or Streamers before, even though I've been playing since The Sims 1. Whyyy. 😳 Haha thank you for sharing your creativity with us!
That looks like everything I've ever seen about New York apartments.
i’ve done this before! base game, included a bed, bin, two counters, sink, toilet, seat, laptop, window, fridge, oven/stove and decorations (single plant and wall decorations!). so proud of it lol it’s hard
The 2x2 house should be a toddler "pretend" house !!
Please name one of the legacy challenge babies Adora! They would be adorable!
Can you try making a house inside out? Like the kitchen and living room and bedroom on the outside And the swing set, barbecue, and flowers on the inside? With the roof facing outwards perhaps to cover the real rooms
This looks so cute! One of my favourite builds you've done recently
I saw a CZcams short about this yesterday! So cool. I'm so excited to experiment myself. 🙂
Simsie please do an "every room has a random theme" video with your monitor in grey scale until the reveal!
random but i am about to upload my shell challenge to the gallery… this is one of my first builds in the sims so it’s kind of bad, but i found it soo relaxing and i had so much fun building it. thank you for this awesome challenge, lilsimsie!! :)
Good for you what’s your gallery id so I can download it.
Ahhh I love this :) you should share your gallery name! I’d love to see it

I’m always so amazed with your building skills. You legit managed to make a 9 tile house looks nice and still be usable wtf
As far as I'm concerned, if you can put anything like grills and dining and a shower outside, you can get away with very little indoors. It would be interesting to see you do a reverse furnishing house: all the plants inside and all the furniture outside. Not sure how functional it would be, especially during storms, but it could be interesting.
I love this building so much and I feel so motivated to build a small house the next time I play💓💓💓 thanks for this amazing video and for making me smile!!!
All the love to snap! Fur babies are the best and make my heart smile 😻
Wait imagine being as great as lilsimsie-
*nobody could ever ❤️*
I would've used a 1 tile desk, that would've left a whole extra tile for other things
in my small homes i put a mini fridge with a dream home decorator countertop oven on it, and sims will use a counter with an electric stove like a normal counter too! so 2 tile kitchens (just without a sink) are super doable!
I’m definitely gonna be using this for the second generation of my new legacy save. I love the house. So cute :)
I like to have a wrap around roof and patio area using the landscaping paint. That way, you can have some activities that are under a roof but not add tiles.
This. Landscape paint is the best way to get around tile limitations followed closely by rugs. Also works very well to put the kitchen in the semi-outdoor area.
Potentially you could even put a sink and an outdoor shower out the backyard, would suit a beachy house
I did one a while ago. The stairs are on the outside. First floor is kitchen, second floor living and bathroom, and the third floor is the bedroom. It's super cute!
Extra floors would count as more tiles though. This is great for a narrow house, but I'm not sure if it would count as tiny.
@@BonaparteBardithion Yes! I built it as a legacy challenge so literally 9 tiles was impossible to play. I used 27 and it was a fully functional home with a bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and elements to practice your skills! I don't think it's that bad 😅
I just wanna say that I have been following you for over 4 years. You are such an inspiration to me and have been since I first saw one of your videos. Thank you for helping me over the years. 👋
Simsie love your videos and the effort you put into them 💗
I really liked this video! I had fun watching and I think the resulting house is super cute!!
If 32 tiles is micro home, would you do a 2x 4by4 micro duplex?
Kayla! I missed your videos this BUILS seemed hard and made my anxiety go way up and I have no idea why don’t ask me -_-, but anyways still love the build and hope you have a great day! Love ya 🥰
A lot of people have mentioned the stove from DHD, (which, I had no idea still functions as a counter) but also, I believe you can bake in the toaster ovens, so if you were to use a minifridge, you could put the toaster oven on top of it, and along with the flat stove, have a fully functioning kitchen in two tiles.
You can even have the oven from DHD under the electric stove and both will function. Might need moveobjects on, but it works.
I love that shower, if you scooch the a sink into the wall under it both are functional
2:25 MORE CAT PLEASE! 😍💛😻
This was a ridiculous challenge but ended up looking so good! I actually want to play in this now.
I've literally build bathrooms three times this size this is amazing
Heyy, love your builds Kayla! ❤️
Loved this! I would've definitely put an off-the-grid sink or something like that in the backyard!
Looking forward to the 2x2 house which is a closet you still somehow will manage to turn into livable space.
Yes yes yes yes yes!! This is the Simsie video I needed today!
Love your builds! 💖💖💖
Love the build!!
btw you can fit usable stove/oven, counter and small fridge and toilet with right angle shower in 3 by 1
I am always so blown away at what you can accomplish in such a small space.
In the sims 3 we had 10x10 lots and those were some of my favorites to build on 😆 This is giving me that vibe
make multiple pods like this and make it into student housing. Like 4 units, and each student sim can have their own fenced area.
Love when you build micro homes :D
Glad google had my back by recommending this in my news/link recommendation, letting me know CZcams unsubscribed me -_-
you should’ve done an outdoor shower area like they do at resorts, it would’ve helped w space
These videos make me feel better mentally ♥️
In regards to tiny/micro homes, when it comes to outdoor furniture on a patio, my rule is if it is in the 'outdoor furniture' category, it does not count towards house tile count. With a grill and table outside, this is still a 3x3 home.
Yeah like if you go on a houses for sale listings kind of website and they tell you the area of the house they don't include the garden in that total, just the house itself. They might separately state how large the garden is if its big enough to be worthy of note (so like a large enough fraction of an acre like 1/3 or 1/4 or larger). But its always just the inside of the house for the house area. She was fine to fill the entire lot if she had wanted to, though what she did looked at least in keeping with the size of the build.
love your content!
Not simsie trying to make this 3x3 home actually look nice. This is such a simsie thing to do. I've never seen anyone make a 3x3 home. So I'm impressed.
You might think to attend an actual live tiny-house and THOW (tiny house on wheels) expo event some day... to see how real-life artists and engineers are making amazing designs for actual humans... It might actually inspire and update you. Also; you might want to look up off-grid toilet options and the portable 'toilechic' for more innovations and ideas that could be custom made for sims...You might consider designing something this size as an opulent playhouse for children! Folks are actually converting sheds into "mini-victorians" and "mini-mansions" in real life... Maybe try it again as an add on to an amazing house build - for a family that would give their kids everything - even a mini-mansion! 😮 You might discover that it changes your attitude and your script! Also - try looking up my friend Shorty Robins's - Tiny Victorian House Build - it is an inspiring real-life account of how she built her Historical-Re-enactment Victorian Era THOW... (Just consider, politely, that She likely has more Followers in real-life than you do online... 🙃)...
I actually LOVE this build!!! It's beautiful
SO GOOD!
When simsie posts it makes my day❤️❤️❤️❤️
I believe you can add the induction Stove top on a counter your sim can use the counter. They put their food on top of them all of the time. That's cool so you can cook with only one counter
I like this specific build because the inside is, like, every student’s living space I’ve ever been in
It would be fun to see limited tile challenges in different shapes too like 9 tiles but you can’t make it a square. Or a certain amount of tiles but you have to use a specific amount of diagonal walls too idk
Yesssss more micro home challenges please 💜
Ooooooohhhhh you gave me some good ideas I love these tiny/micro house builds
i love these videos so much💕💕
I just got tiny living yesterday and I’m currently building a micro home for 8 sims because I was inspired by another video of yours and now I’m inspired by this video to do 2 by 2 or 4 by 4😌
in the debug stuff, theres also fake doors and windows. they are not functional and the windows sometimes look weird from the inside but maybe those are possible to downsize (haven't tested it). maybe they would work for this kind of purpose!
I have to try this, if it is off grid I can put the bathroom outside! And YES do the 2x2!!!!
You should do a get quick rich scheme with the poop randomized treat for cats and dogs the good poop can get you money! 💞
It would be fun to do something halls of residence or flats for older people in a block like this with each person's door being locked but with some common areas as well.
you could try a 4x2 and that way you can fit a bed but still have a challenge to add other things.
Could have used a 1 tile desk and place it plus the chair under the bunk bed so you would have more space! ;)
the minute i sat to relax, you posted!!!
Please do a 2x2 house that would be so cool!
Hey Lilsimsie. I was thinking about, if you could make a Series, were you make a House of 4x4, 5x5 and maybe up to 10x10? It would be really nice☺️
I think I will try it it's looks fun
I love all your videos❤️❤️❤️💖💖
