I agree, something about uncovering the additional info is exciting! It did have me wondering where their mom was in the picture of the father and kids. Wonderful someone took the time to find out who everyone was and write it down!

I agree! These old family photos are special, to think how few family photo prints will be passed down to future generations now that most photos are stored digitally.
My mother use to collect the Fenton glass. When she passed my sister and myself got a lot of it.!

💛 the photos! You should replace that acidic corrugated cardboard inside the frames. It will offgas onto the photographs and deteriorate them. ⭐ I'm an archivist.

For the tea glasses, If you hold a butane torch to them for a second or two they with patina to a darker color with the color changing edges. Just be careful not to hold too long and burn them

The picture frames were from the 70’s. I had and still have one. The old tobacco can I remember my Grandfather using those. Old, I was born in 1946 and I remember them when I was around 5 or so. Great deals!! 😊❤️😊
I thought that old can looked like it had been around awhile! I actually found dates on the frames after filming and they were from the 90’s, probably a pretty common reproduction. Pretty all the same! 😊❤️

the cups with the metal handles remind me of the turkish tea cups, that’s how they drink their black tea in the afternoon. Glass and metal. Something oriental

There used to be a joke about the Prince Albert tobacco back in the olden days. You’d call a tobacco store and ask - do you have Prince Albert in a can? They would say yes, and you would say, well let him out!
A few others have commented this as well and it really puts a smile on my face that it’s brought that memory back for some of you. Now whenever I see Prince Albert I’ll be thinking the same!! 😆❤️
I visit to a warehouse in Silver Town E-16 called Thrift factory Kilo sale !!
They had a massive selection you could spend a whole day there.
They only allow some people to pick and choose as they are really exporting mostly. but They also do events , thrift factory £10 per kilo
You need a strong back to go through the clothes as mostly in cages and Trollies.
But it was worth it as many where Brand new with Tags.

I have a silver container that, same thing, is not very tarnished. I used it last year for Halloween….ended up putting a simple black rub on Transfer of the #13. My point being…it looks like its Monogrammed! I’ve left it because it’s just a decor piece. Your cups with the silver holders would be so cute with a Skull and Crossbones…or something that fits your Halloween table. Then, the transfer would be easily removed if you wanted. Or kept on if you wiped them carefully. It was a happy accident so thought I’d share. 😊

It breaks my heart when families throw out portraits of ancestors. As a genealogist, Im now searching for any photos of my ancestors and thrilled when I find them. Im glad you value them, but sure wish the original family had too. There are genealogist who purposely trace portrait clues to return photos like these to families looking for them.

Old video, but I'm just seeing it. When you want to tarnish silver/chrome, use pickle juice? Yep. Soak and put in dishwasher! 👍
To me the amber goblets look more like dessert cups. Like for ice cream. They are very beautiful. And by the way, I just discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I love it.

I love depression glass and carnival glass. Be careful with some of the green and yellow ones you might find as they can contain uranium and be radioactive. Xx

I love the color of the pumpkins and the pattern on the old whiskey bottle. I am trying to collect a variety of vintage bottles for my Halloween decor too. The description on the pictures were such a cool find. My grandmother always wrote on the back of her pictures so I’m thinking I should start writing little descriptions on the back of mine to help for generations to come. Looking forward to seeing your next haul!
I need to do the same!! I have done so with some but I definitely have some older family photos I need to write on. It’s hard to believe that eventually there will be little to no physical photos since everyone stores them digitally.

I found an Abe Lincoln bust perfume from Avon at a garage sale. I use tiny nails for my over door decor. Hang nails under each wing to hold

The Prince Albert can held tobacco and people would role their own cigarettes with that. When we were kids we used to be a crank telephone calls and ask people if they had Prince Albert in a can . If they would say yes we would say let him out. Haha

Beautiful finds for such great prices. Woukd love to know the we source you use to check estimated value of your pieces. I especially love the amber Fenton piece. The cups with the silver holder look like hot toddy glasses used at Christmas.
Thank you!! I like to use the Google lens camera search then from there I try to find the item on eBay and switch the settings to “sold” so I can see how much they’ve actually sold for previously. At least that’s what my mom always told me to do. 😊
Your black "teacup", is a sugar bowl missing its lid. Two handles is always a sugarbowl.

The Prince Albert flat metal container was not for cigarettes but for loose tobacco for pipe smokers.
The $16 shipping is priority. eBay doesn't allow people to price low and mark up shipping anymore. They will ban your account

We are located in Kansas. My grandma collected antiques and had antique booths, my mom was a reseller (some of which were vintage items but not all), dad collects classic cars, and grew up in a house built in the 20’s so I have always been surrounded by old things and have an appreciation for them and their history. ✨

The silver and glass cups are for mulled wine! (Warm wine sweatened and with spices, aka Glögg). Fuzzy leaves decorations maybe is supposed to be frost?

What state do you live in? The prices you mention and the type of items you find are very different than the ones I find in Southern California. I never find old bottle that aren't sea glass. Old bottles sell for a lot on ebay. I've thought about buying them a few years ago because I could never find any at estate sales.
I like in Kansas, and find the best prices at garage sales for sure! The old bottles and things are definitely common to find here in the Midwest so I’m sure that’s why!

Nope. The $16 shipping cost is because the seller most likely is across country from you. Find a closer seller. You also have to use a giant box for multiple glasses because you need inches of packing material between them.
