      The truth is, because of what Ogboni stands for, it doesn’t discriminate. Anyone can be an Ogboni initiate so far you abide by the laws that guide you as a member.
      Which is one of the reasons for this interview, to show the world the true meaning of Ogboni and their functions in our society.
      Watch out for the next episode where you’ll get more answers on this and other bothering questions. Please don’t forget to subscribe so you’ll be notified when it drops.

    Him being an Alhaji doesn't affect traditionalism, He was just a visitor to the Hajj and that's why he's called Alhaji

    Baba Bankole is very educated and funny as well. Ì laughed when he said Ifa does not understand any other language other than Yoruba language and that that is why White practioners of Ifa now come down to Yoruba land to learn both Yoruba language and Ifa. Very good listening to the Baba.

    How can an alhaji also be an oluwo?. He cannot be a total ogboni then. This is why we will continue to be in bondage. He will not fully represent the interests of tradition

    • @AlaraMedia
      @AlaraMedia  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Thank you for this insightful comment. That’s actually one of the reasons we embarked on this project. To show the world that though the foundation of Ogboni is "Ìṣẹ̀ṣẹ" but it still doesn’t discriminate, in as much as you abide by the laws that bind you as a member. And there are different fractions of Ogboni, this here(The Àkálá) is mainly for the notable men of the Land and they also function as the Judicial system of the Land.
      Watch out for the next episode, where we elaborate more on their functions and duties.

      This just shows how ignorant you are about african ancestry, progeny of the cushite and the accomplishments of khemet... It is recently that the europoids started approaching the feats level of our very own ancestors in africa... And they wouldn't have done it if they didn't steal 100% of the components they needed for it and permanently divide africa against itself...
      You need to do more study... Our ancestors were already in the americas before columbus was born... Do you know the implications of the great pyramids?
      Do you know the greatest civilization humanity ever had(khemet) was formed by people groups from inner africa and the yoruba people group and spiritual system was a major contributor?
      Lets compare scientific accomplishments and even now our ancestors still outclasses the euro poid and when we come to the matter of help you are claiming, i want you to point what help exactly... We are left worse than they met us... You think what we have is development?
      This problem have been around longer than you t hink or recorded secular history, you will have to dig to exhume the truths in it...

      Alhaji is nothing but cultural influence and exploitation of culture. We Yoruba are Christians or Muslim. Our Civilization, Culture are superior to Christianity and Islam. Islam and Christianity are religions that come through the back door of invading and conquest. Been Alhaji get nothing to do with thousands of years of tradition that is part of our entities as people. Ogboni is like a Masonic lodge of the Western world. Masonic lodge control everything in the west

      He felt comfortable introducing himself that way because of his status and functions of his office.
      Ogboni Akala performs solely administrative duties in Egba land, no Spirituality involved reason for their openness to anyone and religion.
      In Ogboni Aborigine, it’s a total different story. Kindly subscribe and turn on the notification button as we take you through the Ogboni series. See you in the next episode.
