  • Oneida Nation | S33 Ep. 1
In 1823, approximately 100 members of the Oneida tribe traveled to the Green Bay area from the New York Territory, with more and more families following in the next 20 years. Today, the Oneida Nation comprises parts of Brown and Outagamie counties and offers numerous recreational and learning opportunities to visitors. With attractions like the Oneida Long House, Thornberry Creek Golf Course and big community events like the Fourth of July Pow Wow and Big Apple Fest, people come from far and wide to take in the beautiful land, rich history, and fascinating culture of the Oneida Nation.

Thank you for making this! It really disgusts me how the Native Americans were/are treated! I am happy to hear they are starting to get some land back. I guess that's a start but we owe them so so so much more! They appreciate their land, wildlife, and the environment...we have a lot to learn from Native Americans!

Human beings have been fighting for land since the beginning of time. Before Oneida lived there It is very likely that Oneida took the land from other Indian tribes. The Oneida tribe doesn’t deserve that land anymore then the previous tribes that inhabited the land. This is simply a matter of survival of the fittest. If you can’t protect your land someone else will come and take it from you. It’s not right but that’s how the world has always worked.
