God I feel you there! I’ve got a 6 month old and I have been preparing a wax melt business for 6 months so since he was a baby, I launched this week and I never realised how hard it would be as well as making all the products myself, no one to help and looking after my baby. Then people don’t understand the shipping charges so they don’t buy because they don’t want to pay towards shipping but unlike big business I can’t afford to fork out free delivery by myself. It’s so hard!
Hi Imogen, I've been a subscriber since 2017 but have never commented before! I really appreciated this chat and honesty as a fellow small business owner 🙌 I constantly see/hear such glamourized versions of being an entrepreneur so when I started my business last year I felt like I must be getting everything wrong because I constantly felt clueless and doing everything yourself can feel so overwhelming and daunting. It's so refreshing to see a fellow small business owner speak about how hard it can be at times so thank you!! 💗Please don't feel embarrassed about talking about the obstacles you've faced, be proud you're carrying on and facing them! You’re so humble, I have never watched a CZcams that’s so real and relatable and that’s so refreshing for people like myself who constantly worries about money and my home and just not being good enough because I don’t have the millions the other CZcamsrs have but I’m 0n a mental health journey to appreciate what I have now and watching you brings me that peace and joy I need. Love your videos Imogen! I also run a small business and I find planning the content way ahead helps - you can also schedule your content (for Instagram) via Facebook creative suite for weeks in advance so you can always do that and let the content post automatically so you don’t have to worry about it! hope that helps xx

I totally agree - I have 2 small businesses and it’s so hard being consistent. I try buying from small businesses myself as much as possible too. But I’m not doing it with a baby (my son has ASD but is nearly 17 - so ups and downs) xx hugs and well done.

What would be an amazing idea is if you created an home built storage shed at the bottom of your garden I have no clue what they are called because at least then you can store your packages there and still work from home, you’re doing amazing. Please try not to stress so much I know it’s easier said than done but your my favourite CZcamsr and you worry me sometimes and sometimes it’s not worth your health, you need to be 100% for Renalia. Hey Imogen!! I know Sarah Ashcroft the owner of SLA the label she has spoken about literally every drop she does something goes very wrong! Like the samples wont even make it in time or the final units didnt even come in time for launch! I know what you mean, dont feel disheartened this does happen, people just dont really talk about it

Your doing so well just think that most people have a baby and then they are on maternity for 9-12 months and you’ve literally not just jumped back in making videos and editing and doing brand deals and Instagram stuff but also running a whole business from development to promotion to fulfilment while ALSO renovating and running a home all of that with a new born Aswell I don’t know how you have the time in the day 😭 I work 37.5 hours a week and I barely do anything else 🤣 also holla at your girl if you want help with hunny store content/socials I’m not using my media production degree skills anywhere else atm😅
