Yes it is because of the way the building is shaped and the temp in the room and the temp outside the room along with this the room was made of glass.
cold af air around the pool but the pool is heated thus causing rising hot air interacting with the cold ambient air causing the cyclone. My guess.
Probably the steam from the pool evaporated and got sucked up into the ventilation fan and somehow rotated to form a column of steam
Rising moist warm air from the bottom, cold dry air from the top. Like the big thingies outside.
The fact that the old guy fell and the biker he pushed stuck the landing gracefully is crazy embarrassing ngl

Basically the light of the lamp flashes so fast that your eye can only see the water on specific locations, so it appears to either float or flow upwards.

Actually, I've seen this clip before and I guess I'll say the same thing again here: the cat isn't confused, it's just playing with the water. Cats process their senses faster, the "framerate" so to speak for them is higher. The illusion simply would not work for them. It may still be visually interesting, but probably would not appear to float upwards.

The light flashes at just the right rate for our eyes to perceive the droplets as going upwards, if I remember correctly. The end result is awesome.

The camera takes pics individually, one at a time, and the camera rate can be different from the speed of the item being filmed, which is why some cars on TV look like their tires are spinning in reverse, and helicopter blades can appear to stand still or move very slowly. But the water drop effect is visible in real life, same as a stereoscope. Very cool.

The water runs while a light will strobe at a certain frequency. The frequency is specific to give the illusion that the water is running in reverse
You know how in parties it seems like people move like if they were in a stop motion animation? It's the same thing here. The strobe light causes this effect

The pool tornado is actually a phenomenon called a steam devil, caused by the temperature difference between the hot pool water and the cool air above it. It's quite rare to see!
I know they had parachutes, but the guy on the half pipe in the sky gave me so much anxiety
I gasped when he went off the half pipe cause I forgot about parachutes for a second
I be feeling that also, whenever I see people climbing skyscrapers or performing stunts at the top like hanging off the ledge.. every time, I feel the adrenaline flowing through my heart & feet as if I'm up there myself, even though rationally, I know I'm safe on the ground watching a video --Yet somehow my subconscious mind cannot tell the difference... 🤯

I’ve seen those indoor tornado pool things, I am a structural engineer in terms of water and how it could damage or affect something. Anyway we call them whirlpados, quite rare but can happen in areas high above sea level.

Just so you know, the tornado is known as a "steam devil", and spawns on hot water, usually in one of Yellowstone's geysers (I can't remember which)
