She actually sounds as beautiful as she looks. And that vocal range! She can hit very low notes and very high notes too. This must be pretty hard work for her vocal chords, and I hope for her voice to remain this good in years to come.

@gpan83 She surely is an experienced keyboard player (and composes most of the band's music too as far as I know), but on stage I like her even better when she leaves the keyboard to someone else because without the instrument she has the freedom to dance which makes her stage presence even more amazing.

I saw them at Pitchfork in Chicago last weekend and they didn't have a drummer. Their sound wasn't great except for the vocals and keyboards. Could have been the mix but "Sidewalk Safari" stood out for the keyboard riff at about 1:28 of this version. I'll have to listen to more of their stuff.
@wolfy9005 yeah I probably didn't put that to well Wolfy. The sound is not exactly created by her, and I realize it's synthesized obviously, but it's still very unique and original.

I wish Chairlift took more chances with their arrangements like they do here. Their melodies are fantastic and Caroline has a great, versatile voice, but some of the songs on Something feel a little too basic, like they added a simple beat, some synthesizer here and there and figured it's good enough. It'll be interesting to see where they go next.
Saw them at Laneway in Melbourne recently, like most things out of New York City, they are quality. Her vocals are off tap, and the sound she gets out of the keyboard is fucking unbelievable. 'In ya dir-ec-shon!' Fuck yeah, run em down girl!!

some people hate synths because they're so fake and apparently some how (easy to make music with) But I fucking love them!! and this band uses them in such a good amount. The only synths I can't stand are drum synths.

Far-out and weird, but catchy! Only very talented people can create stuff that's catchy without being mainstream.
I'd rather watch&listen to this in an endless loop than watch the mainstream shit on music TV channels.
