A charge to keep I have,
    A God to glorify,
    A never-dying soul to save,
And fit it for the sky.
    To serve the present age,
    My calling to fulfill:
O may it all my powers engage
To do my Master's will!.........best part!!

cdonon321 u are right.. most churches have gotten away from the true deep soul driven gospel music...some churches still do it though.. especially alot of the smaller churches in the country here in Alabama

Rev Clay Evans "Shirley Bell" recorded the 1992 version with AARC Mass Choir of Chicago. That verison to me is much better than Rev. Nicks verison.. I do love the song though. Just more feeling in the AARC's verison.

Actually it's the reverse. The piano and organ as well as all other instruments were sacred instruments deemed secular by some ppl who didn't know what the Bible says.
