- Al bij zijn geboorte stond vast dat Jeroen van Tongeren een Citroën zou gaan rijden. Inmiddels bezit hij er drie, waaronder deze Citroën SM uit 1974, die hij niet alleen heeft voor de mooi, maar ook volop gebruikt.

J’en ai possédé une modèle injection de 1974 , gardée 27 ans en état concours. Voiture sublime ! Mon plus gros regret : l’avoir vendue!

Ik werkte toen in Vinkeveen en Johan passeerde mijn brommer regelmatig als hij waarschijnlijk de kids naar school bracht.

Het was origineel een licht groene metallic.
De kans dat je hem nu nog in Vinkeveen treft is klein dus.
Hij nu dan wel weer in een waterige omgeving.
En een Alfa Montreal...nog mooier!

@@Parrambusties yes they are, but the resistance to time from the resin/fiber glass wheels is not so good (loosing from the internal steel insert by rusting because microcracks in the resin), so Georges Regembeau did launch a rebuilt from this wheels in aluminium(inclusive a bigger diameter to allow the use of modern tires lover profile): they are awailable by ets Gallet (SM2a) and Regembeau
Even if they are offered for free, I would NEVER replace my original and unique Sm wheelcovers and the steel rim!
I always hoped that old Jerry Hathaway in Los Angeles would’ve produced part-for-part replicas of the SM. I know he made some improvements to some of his (Twin turbochargers). I’d like to see some made with the original V-8 the V-6 was based on, with twin turbo. Maybe even some sort of all wheel drive system.

DE XM is een copie van de SM en de CX samen, wie goed kijkt weet waar ik over praat
nope, the XM is draw with a ruler, so no analogy to the SM
is deze auto ingevoerd in 1978 omdat dit kenteken niet van 1974 is.
