The Great Alone is on the Booktuber longlist . I only read half ( via audio) and DNFd. Maybe I'll go back to it.
That’s actually why I picked it up, too! Not every book is for every person. There were a couple on the list that I was pretty meh about.
I'm reading this book and when I read what happened at the bottom of page 404 I threw my arms up and yelled "YES!"

I’m looking for a good book for my mom for Christmas. Would you consider this book appropriate for a Christian woman? Like, is there any detailed or graphic content? Language? Any insight will be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.
Oooh, that's a good question and I'm not so sure. It kind of depends on her tolerance for some of the more grueling things. She does talk directly about things like domestic abuse, sex, disillusionment...I absolutely loved it, but it may be a bit much for some people, especially if they've had a personal history with abuse.
This was one of my favourite book of last year, I enjoyed it more than her famous one The Nightingale to be honest.

Indeed, they're both good but The Great Alone is in a class of its own.
Love your review but the fact that you’re standing makes me kind of uncomfortable, I think sitting down in a more comfortable environment would make these reviews more enjoyable
