Got to say that the lower terrain requirements for AoS really makes a difference for viewing and following - so much less visual clutter! Love it.

Agreed, 10th seems to have over complicated 40K. Sigmar seems to have the common sense element that 40K now lacks

just an FYI for you guys, picking a Battle Tactic is an abilitiy, which means you dont have to pick one if you dont want to. there is a number of reasons why you might do this, first, you might not be able to do one that turn, so you dont want to waste one later in the game, like you would in older editions of the game, second you might want to become the underdog to get that extra CP for the next turn.

Yep, getting into 4th with my boys. Had some from Warcry and 1st ed. But it never really caught on. This though… man we’re all in! Thanks for the content guys.

I painted a few miniatures and never played AoS or any other game from Warhammer. I pre-ordered the Skaventide box and I definately will give it a try too start playing AoS. At 31:55 wouldn't Magical Intervention subtract 1 from the chanting roll, making it a 4? 1:20:58 Shouldn't the Ardboyz have used shield slam on Yndrasta? Also the battle tactic where you need to fight with two units, and have none died doesn't factor in combat. The core rules say that you can "fight" if you're within combat or have charged, and then make a pile-in. You don't actually have to do combat to have "fought".

I do argue about the strike first since in the core rule basically stated the strike-first is still like the fight first in 40k. But the charge don't give you the strike-fist whatssover. Just in case since Stormcast still have some trick to have the strike-fist

What do you mean "no pivoting" you still have to measure " if you pivot, you can't get free movement. Also think redeploy count as a run now, so you can't charge afterwards. Unless you have run and charge.

Excited to see a nice solid batrep for newAoS - from a technical point of view the top down looks a bit blown out, especially with the particular battlemat. I know lightning is a &£*#! to get just right and it doesn't detract from the quality of the game fun explanation and bantz but just for future reference!! If its not the light, it could be of bit lower resolution maybe? It just looks a bit odd!

Not that sold on 4th....lots of stuff Seems dumped down to make it more accesable for beginners. But i think it took a lot from Professional gamers...way less possibilities for individual armies..
If you play AoS, use AoS terms.
@@sane329 this is the exact attitude that gate keeps, makes people feel unworthy, unwelcome and feeling like they don’t belong. If I played someone at 40K and they said the “rend” of their attack was 2 I would know exactly what they meant and I wouldn’t even question it. The most important part about wargaming is the community and spending time getting to know someone over a shared interest.
