Please do more of these videos if you can. Always fascinated with how photographers work at proper games, seeing their work and how they capture everything, along with how you send images whilst the match is still going on. Love it! Keep up the good work 👍
Another enjoyable video Mark.Glad to see you back in action.
Yes please Mark ! It’s how I got into it if you remember 😊
Great multitasking skills Mark. Also, smart usage of a fixed focal and a zoom lens. I've learned loads from your informative videos. I'm a disabled non-league photographer from Lincolnshire. I am now a Subscriber!
That’s great Dave, and a Lincolnshire snapper too, brilliant👍🏻
Thank you for narrating what you are doing, your settings, and your methodology. Excellent Video!
9 years later and the 1DX is still a beast. I had one for three years. Best camera I managed to own. Of course a mkiii or R3 would be way better but then "who wants to be a millionaire??"
Fun to watch. I shot my kids hockey. 80D 50mm and a 80mm
Mark. I dragged my 20 year old son into my home office to watch your most recent video. He is a basketball guy. It was my third time watching this particular video. I kept telling him . “ see how happy Mark looks.” That’s my feeling every Saturday when I’m out shooting League 1 Ontario. For the past few weeks I have been in a photographic slump. But your video has revived me. Thanks a bunch!
I always find a tip or 5 within you sports videos, That is great help/service from Canon.
Nice to see you in my home town.... Great video... up the tigers...lol..
Thanks for watching Andrew. Was a good shift this one👍🏻
I photograph our local rugby league games here in Wagga Wagga in the Riverina region of NSW, Australia. Our comp got canned about six weeks ago because of Covid, so I have been starved of action. I love sports photography.
Ah that’s a real shame Paul! Fingers crossed you’re back to normal soon🤞🏻
the manager pics were fire, Great video mate!
Vraiment j ’adore vos vidéos bravo pour votre magnifique travail
Thanks for watching the videos, I am glad they are helping you out with your photography
Thanks from Berlin for this video i enjoyed with it
Thanks for watching👍🏻
Glad to see you back at it. I had actually unsubscribed as I thought you were only doing landscapes these days!
Great to see you back in the game Mark , you looked like a kid in a sweet shop at the beginning, and your facial expressions as they went from miss after miss was funny . Keep the videos coming mate . Stay safe 👍
So chuffed for you that you are back into the football side of things. The main reason I subscribed to your channel in the first place. It amazes me the speed in which you work, swapping from different lenses, editing and sending pics to the desk within minutes and not forgetting the tips you give us all through your vlog!
I noticed midway through the video that sound from your voice was muted while the background noise could still be heard 🤔
Btw: Nice to see my 400ml f2.8 in your intro 😉
Look forward to seeing more of the same content Mark 🙏🏻👍🏻
Thank you for the content! I really appreciate your format. I know this is a lot of work!
Nice to see you back to the pitch and glad you had the opportunity to shoot with such a great setup.
Thanks Stanislav👍🏻 Yes, I’m extremely lucky to be loaned the kit for now whilst I save up for my own again. Canon have such a fantastic support system that cannot be beaten👍🏻
Awesome shots. Wish I could have such lenses 😢
I was in debt for a few years I can tell you!
Hey Mark, you are riding a Dutch football Van... hahaha
🤣 It could be classed as that yes, brill👍🏻
Wow you lucky man ... I'm pleased for you Mark
Great to see Canon supporting their shooters in a pinch. Great video!
Yes, they’ve been fantastic
Fantastic video thanks man!
Nice to watch you back pitch side, mate!
Glad to see you are back in action Mark!!
Thanks for watching, appreciate it👍🏻
Great video, Mark! Good to see you're back. If anyone knows a nicer photographer on YT, give me a tip (I doubt it...) All the best!
Good to see these videos back, always interesting and helpful advice 👍
Thank you for an inspiration,Mark. You inspired me!
Great video Mark 👌 📸 🔥
Thanks for showing everything you do while shooting!
Hells bells Mark - that has to be one of the most stressful jobs in the world. Amazing stuff!
Hey Mark, I've watched a lot of Sport Photography videos as a beginner sports photograph enthusiast. I've found yours are really informative. I'm taking more lacrosse shots rather than football shots but it's a similar fast-moving game. Only got a 70-200 F2.8 but would love a 400.....$$$$
Covid must have hit you and other professional photographers really hard. Great to see that it's an industry with some top people willing to reach a hand out for support - restores faith in humanity.
Keep on coming with the videos mate. Top-notch!! We need live sport back here in AUS!!!
Thanks for watching Kane, really appreciate it. Canon have been superb with the kit loan. That has come to an end this month but my good friend Steve Paston has lent me his 1dx & 300mm so good to carry on. With the industry still recovering I’m not going to re invest in kit just yet! See how things pan out🤞🏻
De magnifique photos et bravo pour cette vidéo
Great to see you back at the footy. Great video.

Great to watch. Love my 1DX and R6.

Nice to see you back at some footie, Mark. great vid, as usual.
Superb video Mark, delighted to see you back doing football. Always good to watch. Thanks.👍
Excellent video. Earned a sub with the editing blurbs between narrative and shooting. Fabulous video
Great to see you back shooting football Mark
Watched your video for the first time and Im already looking forward to the next one! Also, happy for you that you got the kit to work.
Great video again Mark, nice to see you back doing the football 👍

Nice to see you back doing the football. Great video. 📷
Great watch Mark, interesting to see your workflow, not much pressure to carry out a quick edit and send! Look forward to the next video.
Looking forward to your football photography
Been waiting for this, crazy to think that you were at carrow road the same day as me watching Norwich V Bournemouth :)

Great to see you back at the sport Mark. We'll get you over for next years TT yet. :)
Thanks for this really enjoyed it, it’s great to see how you guys work, as an amateur sports photographer it’s a great help
Please keep these sort of video’s coming.
Great to see you back out and at it mate! Hopefully, we can be the same here in Oz too soon enough.
Yessss!!!!! I'm back as well. I returned about a month and a half ago :) Great to see you creating great images :D
Job's a good'n Mark👍
Thanks Steve, it is now🤣👍🏻
Thanks for your video sir!!!!!
Thanks for watching Al👍🏻
Great to see you back at the sports…. Brilliant as usual keep them coming. I haven’t done any pro stuff this season yet, I’ve been recovering from a broken leg but just about there now so fingers crossed after the international break some work comes in. All the very best Mark and like I said before if your up in the north east give me a shout 👍 even on the landscape side
Great to see you back pitchside Mark, great video. All the best and hope you can sort your gear again. Andy
Great! I'll be pitchside too this Saturday - WSL. Using your old 7Dii Mark!
Very happy for you being back out!!! And thank you for taking us along! Super cool of Jackie (spelling?) to hook you up with some kit! I love LOVE my 1D X Mark III!! If you’re wanting to stick with DSLR and EF glass there’s a bunch coming in to the stores as many trade for mirrorless and RF glass.. not sure if you can get B&H or Adorama to ship to the UK but they get and have some clean bodies and lenses. Or even buy refurbished from Canon..
Great to see you back at sport Mark, really enjoying seeing you photograph a game.
Thanks Jackie, appreciate your support👍🏻
Endlich!!
Glad to see you back doing the sport videos. Sure is tough switching cameras while trying to catch the action. I’m not quick enough.
Brilliant Mark, again, how fab to get tgat loan kit, lucky man, that 400 is something else, great to see you back doing sports 😀
Great content Mark. Just watched a couple of your videos and great to hear you got back to shooting pitch side. Will check out more of your videos
Thanks Andrew, really appreciate your support on the channel
Quality Mark, long may it continue for you, bet it was good to dust off the cobwebs. It's good to see in the video how much juggling around you've got to do between cameras, just to make sure you're using the correct lens at that exact moment in time.
cracking stuff Mark you're back with the vids! top notch again, an inspiration! Small tip though, if you per chance end up going to Preston, dont travel in that coloured van!! :) :)
Half time report..loving it so far..more of the same 2nd half..tactics for 2nd half..keep pressing ..!😃
Great video Mark really enjoyed it .. it always a challenge when to drop 400 and use 70-200 ..
Enjoy watching a fresh perspective on shooting soccer. Not as popular here in south Texas as it is across the Atlantic, but all the same, I like hearing your strategies on your work flow during the game.
Hi Mark great videos .I thought most desks wanted unedited images to fit the copy?
Hi Robert. I always edit what’s needed but will leave the crop loose so the papers can crop tighter if needed👍🏻
Great to see you back! I am watching these to help me with my transition from my 300mm lens to my 70-200 haha - I can't master it! Great to see Jakki / Canon help you out. They helped me earlier in the season and they were just brilliant from start to finish. Hope you're well and enjoying the football 👍🏻
Lollll I can’t do it either
Given the amount of work you do during the 90+ minutes between shooting, editing and sending it would be interesting to see what sort of readout you'd get from a heart monitor. I reckon you'd get a surprise. There's times I come away from a game exhausted, especially if there's loads of action and goals. It can be manic trying to keep up with it, especially if you're having to edit, caption and send images yourself throughout the game.
Hi Mark, new to the channel and been watching a few especially the football. I use to cover these upto a few years back and brought back many memories. Pre match preps creating code replacements, checking any news or new signings etc. watching nil nil draws and getting absolutely nothing 😀. Sitting on the wrong side or end but nothing compares with seeing your images in the Sunday papers.
I see you’ve also moved upto my neck of the woods in Nth Lincs, I live next to the Humber Bridge and it’s a great area to live. Look forward to watching more of your vids 👍
Hi Graham, thanks for watching some of the videos, appreciate your support. Yes, not far from you now, only 15 minutes from the bridge. Which agency did you used to shoot for then when you were covering sport? Unfortunately, my sport work has dried up again! It’s the same for a lot of us freelancers, the work just doesn’t seem to be there like it was?! Time will tell I guess but do miss the buzz that you spoke about before and during the game. Thanks for getting in touch and catch up soon
@@MarkKerton I worked for Prosport in the beginning but I think they have gone now as I heard he lost his Dataco licence not long after. Also Camerasport. I also had a conference licence so use to cover Grimsby’s games for non league paper. At the end I also worked for a guy from Doncaster area but had a major falling out with him over pay. At that point I decided to concentrate on the ice skating events.
@@GrahamTaylor123 Ah ProSport, know Phill & Paul, they’re still going strong. If it’s the same prosport that is? Camera sport still going too, sending through Getty now I think. It’s always tricky on commission, you never really know if the pay is correct, a lot of trust involved! I’m tempted to go back to commission but we’ll see!
@@MarkKerton different pro sport also known as professional sport which was owned by a guy called Tommy Hindley. He was very big in tennis circles and I think Wimbledon had a lot of his images on display.
Full time report..bloody good job you did there mate..caught the action and atmosphere brilliantly..loved the shots you got in difficult lighting conditions by the look of it..easy to blow out those white shirts I would imagine..Do you have the image stabilisation off or on with the monopod attached to the 400..?I know on a tripod it would be off but is that the same for the monopod..Great to hear how good Canon support was..
Great in-depth video. Felt for you though, looked gutted as more and more of those chances went by without action. On to the next!
