I have read all the hello neighbor novels and this is pretty much the lore: From what I remember it is set during the 1990’s and a kid named Nicholas (Nicky) Roth (he also who you play as in hello neighbor 1) moves into Raven Brooks, a town in Missouri. He has moved many times and doesn’t expect to make any friends and to just move again. He becomes friends with the Peterson family (the neighbors family). Aaron, the brother of Mya, and child of Theodore and Diane Peterson, shows Nicky Golden Apple amusement park, which has been abandoned for many years due to an accident occurring on opening day when Lucy Yi, Mya’s friend, is riding on the Rotten Core with Mya and Maritza(sister of Nicky’s future friend, Enzo) who are her friends. Lucy is in the front car of the coaster when it flies off of the track, killing her. Theodore Peterson (the neighbor) is the designer of the entire park, has a history of accidents at amusement parks where people die after riding on his rides. The “accident” was a result of the Raven Cult using a box that makes everything go in favor of the person in possession of the object (From what I remember) Aaron is chasing down the leader of the cult in a underground tunnel system beneath the city when the leader uses it. The Raven Cult includes, Officer Leslie, Detective Tapps, and Gordon Cleave, Gordon being the leader. They have close relations with the mayor who is also the owner of Golden Apple Corporation(A candy company). He makes the amusement park as means of bringing in money but when it fails, the corporation goes bankrupt and gets shutdown. The Raven Cult members are arrested after the tunnel system collapses. Nicky hears circus music coming from the basement of the Petersons home (more on that later). Theodore has a crazy ability to hear the slightest things and see the slightest things. When he hears Nicky outside the basement door, Nicky runs back to his house and climbs through the window of his room and Mr. Peterson stands below his window. He knew it was Nicky to footprints in the grass. Diane Peterson dies in a car crash which makes Theodore go crazy. Days after the crash, Mya falls from the roof of the house after Aaron pushes her, and dies. Theodore, with only one person left in his life, is determined to not let Aaron die and locks him in his basement. Aaron and Mya are proclaimed missing. Nicky knew it had to do with Mr Peterson, and a year later, durning the events of Hello neighbor one, Nicky sneaks into the Peterson’s house and goes down into the basement and finds an entire amusement park under ground along with Aaron. They are both trapped in there and are both missing. At 4:57 in the video, you can see Mya on the right, Nicky on the left, and Aaron in the middle. I think Hello Neighbor 2 is really interesting! The developers have added a lot to this game so far and it's cool to see how far tinyBuild has come. I like the idea of going to more houses or buildings to get the items, as Dan said, and it's cool to see how much this game can add to the lore of the series. I'm pretty sure the first child (girl) was the neighbor's daughter that was pushed off the roof that was shown in Hide and Seek. And the boy at the end of part 1 was the neighbor's son. The third missing child picture was probably the kid we play as in the first game, because they were both wearing a hat, and at the time he is still trapped in the basement.

Alpha 1, Alpha 2, Alpha 3, Alpha 4. Long ago, the four Alphas lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when Hello Neighbour 2 attacked. Only TurkeyBoy55 master of all four Alphas could stop them. But when the world needed him the most, he vanished.
So basically, the neighbors daughter died and so did his wife. Then something happened to his son and when the reporter came, I think that was when our old character was in the neighbors basement. I’m still learning more lore in the game.

Hey dan! The reason that the kids say posters say "simming" is beacuse he had a girl and a boy and the boy got angry one time and accidentaly pushed the girl off the roof. The neighbour then locks his kid in the basement so that his kid doesnt go to jail, and puts posters up saying they are missing. The reason he doesnt want you to find him is so his son doesnt go to jail, so really, you are the bad guy, and he is a good dad, just like Dan!

Ah yes Hello Neighbor 2... A game we have to wait to be publicly released until December 6 2022 (if you don't believe me, check on Steam and you will see). Unlike the Second chapter of Poppy Playtime, which is set to come out at around the end of April.
The other hello neighbor games was also released on December so thats probably why we have to wait that long for it to release it must be what they usually do

They let people sculpt the game - which is good! - but they let that happen *too* much to the point where the whole project… kinda lost it’s original shape entirely.

I noticed if you pause at the right time at 3:10 you can see that the car Dan was racing towards was the present Neighbours car. I am pretty sure this crow must be somebody that knows about his family (or something like that) and wants to punish him for how he dealt with it (doesnt really make sense) OR I believe he's sort of like a conciousness to constantly remind the Neighbour of what happened? this doesnt make much sense but its fun to look back and make random theories

Ok I'm sorry I have to explain this because I was so obsessed with Hello Neighbor a couple years ago... this is for anyone who needs it: The neighbor has two children, Aaron and Maya, and he had a wife. When his wife died in a car accident, he became extremely depressed, and as seen, so did Aaron, leading him to accidentally pushing his sister Maya off a roof. The original hello neighbor takes place after this, for you will find a grave (Maya's) and the child being pulled into the basement is Aaron, who is being punished. Nicky was kidnapped in the end of act one, as we know, so this game prob takes place during that time. You're welcome to anyone who needed it :)
this hello neighbor definitely has a creepier setting than the first one but when someone catches you it's not actually scary. although the chase makes it seem really scary the catch doesn't actually scare you. i hope they change that and make it scarier by the time of release
This probably takes place like a couple days after the first hello neighbor game because the character you play as gets captured and it says missing for him

They let people sculpt the game - which is good! - but they let that happen *too* much to the point where the whole project… kinda lost it’s original shape entirely.
I love all of Dan's videos, but I would love it if he went back to making videos every day/2days. He's very entertaining and I've been watching him ever since I was young.

I noticed if you pause at the right time at 3:10 you can see that the car Dan was racing towards was the present Neighbours car. I am pretty sure this crow must be somebody that knows about his family (or something like that) and wants to punish him for how he dealt with it (doesnt really make sense) OR I believe he's sort of like a conciousness to constantly remind the Neighbour of what happened?

I think the three kids missing are... The girl and boy are the neighbors kids and that one other boy is us from the first game when we kept breaking into his house...

Ok I'm sorry I have to explain this because I was so obsessed with Hello Neighbor a couple years ago... this is for anyone who needs it:
The neighbor has two children, Aaron and Maya, and he had a wife. When his wife died in a car accident, he became extremely depressed, and as seen, so did Aaron, leading him to accidentally pushing his sister Maya off a roof. The original hello neighbor takes place after this, for you will find a grave (Maya's) and the child being pulled into the basement is Aaron, who is being punished. Nicky was kidnapped in the end of act one, as we know, so this game prob takes place during that time. You're welcome to anyone who needed it :)

this hello neighbor definitely has a creepier setting than the first one but when someone catches you it's not actually scary. although the chase makes it seem really scary the catch doesn't actually scare you. i hope they change that and make it scarier by the time of release

This probably takes place like a couple days after the first hello neighbor game because the character you play as gets captured and it says missing for him
dan casuallly: "Alright lets jump out the window. I need to remember that that fire extinguisher is in that mans bedroom...lets see if we can find that fish head."
The kid on the left of the board at 5:10 was actually the character we played as in act 1,2 and 3 in the original hello neighbour which is weird it means we were caught in the last game
