Arc VS Sigma OS | The Race For The New Internet: Battle Of The Browsers

- Browsers are the way we access and look at the internet. Two companies are currently racing to revolutionize how you access the internet. You saw the title, we’re talking about Arc & Sigma OS.
How are they different? Which one is better and which one should you use? We’ll answer all of that in this video.
Arc and Sigma OS are two platforms that boast an array of features designed to streamline, enhance, and simplify online tasks.
Arc is a polished, intuitive platform that supports multitasking with features like a smart screenshot system, the ability to create live captures within an 'Easel' (a private whiteboard for saving ideas, files, images, texts, and more), and a split-screen function allowing up to four tabs to be viewed at once. The platform is organized by a sidebar with pinned favorite sites and grouped tabs. It provides multiple 'spaces' for different tasks like work, personal items, and social media. One can customize the look of websites via the 'Boosts' feature and conduct versatile searches using the 'Spotlight' search bar that can open new tabs, pin a tab, and more.
Sigma OS, like Arc, features a robust search tool called 'Lazy Search'. It can be used to navigate through every setting and shortcut, find tabs, search history, navigate to a new workspace, and even create new items in specific apps. Sigma OS organizes items into workspaces that house tabs, almost functioning like a to-do list. Tabs can be marked as 'done', locked, renamed, tagged, or snoozed. Sigma OS also supports split screens and has extensive keyboard shortcuts. It uses different profiles for different workspaces and facilitates collaboration by inviting others to shared workspaces. An AI companion, Airis, can summarize articles, provide explanations, translations, or even rewrite text in a simplified way.

great video! and glad to see you’re enjoying SigmaOS 😊
Damn, my life is complete 🥹
Thanks a lot for the positive feedback! Please keep killing it 🙌 I’m loving the product 🎉
No offense but I dislike the sigma name, it used to be a fun thing until internet overused it to the point it's cringey to me, but this is just a criticism of the name, nothing else about the browser/service is bad in any way in my experience
Great browser tho
No windows Plans??
@@blackpurple9163 yeah gotta hate how the internet ruins stuff. but i don't really mind things being called sigma os because tbh i won't hold a grudge on whatever 12yr old using a capcut template makes.
I've started using ARC as secondary browser and Brave as primary browser. After a few week of using ARC, the muscle memory has completely changed and Brave is now my secondary browser.
Wow, that’s a great testimonial for Arc!
What about security? I wouldn't change security for aesthetics or convenience
@@HipocratesRthis!!! people see a few shiny parts and forget the most important thing. Shiny new UI tends to hide the privacy policy
@@Simulati0n regretfully is a fact what you said, I see a very dark future in privacy and technology overall dominated by corporations and governments, hackers will be the least of our fears in some years.
Hmm, so which one is safer?
No support for the most used OS'. No Linux, no Android, no Windows. This three makes ca 80% of the customer web usage.
And probably that's what actually allowed them to grow and build so many new features in light speed time (have you seen Arc AI Max?). No wonder they prior quality > quantity. They're making they product not only good but desireable. Give them time and more os will come.
I just want linux support but I do understand if that takes a while, on the other hand... no windows support considering most users are on it makes no sense.
@@RedyfThat is not how startups work. They don’t want “most users” right now. They are in beta, meaning, they’ll be scaling in phases.
Mac users and iOS users are much better at feedback for product improvement.
@@guizaoaccthat one is a good joke. But index most companies do prefer to work on apple devices because it's easier to develops for a singular unified ecosystem than multiple OS's with different shapes and sizes in terms of screens.
Arc has windows now
This is such a great video explaning the perks of each browser! Currently using Arc and only used sigmaOS while i was waiting for the ARC Beta waitlist, but I feel that Arc for me is easier to use. Both browsers look very beautiful though. Love the effort put into this video :)
Thanks a lot, glad you enjoyed it 😄 I do prefer SigmaOS for a few very specific points but its true that Arc is just much more polished
Do you have it for Mac?
I've been using arc since January. (New year, new browser, I guess).
The organization alone is quite worth it!
That’s great to hear! I guess you can try out SigmaOS next year then 😉
How are you liking Arc?
I use Vivaldi right now and I love it. I can't wait for Arc and Sigma OS to come to windows and android. I stopped using chrome a while ago and have since used Vivaldi because of the features it offers. I use it a lot for the the built in multitasking and side by side tiling.
Ever since I tried it I fell in love with Arc because it was giving me a way to create order without having to stick to minimalism
The sidebar feature has been gradually gaining traction in web browsers, with Vivaldi being one of the early pioneers to take it seriously. Brave browser also offers a built-in sidebar functionality without the need for add-ons. Additionally, various add-ons are available for Firefox to enable a sidebar experience. However, when it comes to a relatively bug-free and consistent implementation, Microsoft Edge stands out as the only major browser currently offering it. That being said, it appears that the rest of the industry, apart from the Arc developers, is indeed overlooking the potential of the sidebar feature.
That being said. I think arc does a lot more than just the sidebar that make me use web apps for my work more then native apps. I full screen arc and then do my stuff.
Thanks for taking the time to type this out! I love to this the sidebar feature gaining more popularity, I personally love it!
I just stumbled on this video because I'd never heard of Sigma OS. I thought you were decently big, with like 100k subscribers.
You have 201. You deserve a *lot* more!
Thank you so much for the positive words 🙌 This warms my heart ❤️
It means a lot, thank you 🙏 Hopefully one day!

Both seem great! As an Arc user, it's great to see two great companies shaking up the traditonal browser!
Been using Arc for about 3 months as my main browser. It’s really good! Today they launched an update to include AI prompts. 🚀
Cool comparison! Was looking for a review like some months this when comparing Arc vs Sigma OS, and now looking forward to seeing your thoughts on Sidekick as well since I decided not to test that one. In the end for me I went for Arc over Sigma OS because of Sigma's workspace limitation on the free version since the freedom to create as many spaces as I want on Arc helped me with my goal to organize tabs better
Tried SigmaOS a while back and it didn't click for me. Love Arc though. Its been my main browser for months now and I cant see myself going back to anything else. Doesn't SigmaOS have a monthly cost as well?
Glad to hear you love Arc! Are there specific things about SigmaOS you didn’t like?
And yes SigmaOS charges a monthly subscription at the moment while Arc is still free (for now)
@@JujoOfficialarc will stay free
Great review! I've been aware of Arc for a while but this is the first I've heard about Sigma
Yes, it's not only about WHAT functions a browser may offer but also HOW it operates and whether it lines up with what you want.
Ex: I like ARC because it's so much faster than other Browsers. Its consumption of memory is like less than 50% of Chrome and Edge.
Amazing overview. Great job man!
Thank you so much 🙏 means a lot!
Great Video! Thanks for your work. I am using Arc since several month and love it. Didn’t know Sigma before and now I’m scared to test it 😅
I’m glad it was helpful! You should definitely give it a try though 😉
I've been using Arc on my Macbook since March and I love it! It took a couple weeks to get set up and become comfortable with the browser, but now I can't imagine using anything else. The only downside is the lack of Windows version. I would love more than anything to finally stop using chrome on my PC.
Nice video. Left Arc and started using Sigma OS and even made it my default browser. I felt that it was sluggish and speechify was not working in certain instances.. I returned to Arc because for me I could organize better and I know that I can fine tune it to my poor eyesight. Both are excellent but for now I will use Arc. Also Sigma is $8 a month for pro, but its free it you don't upgrade to pro. Still using Sigma but not for my default browser.
Thanks for the review. But you forgot one important topic which is security. How well do these browsers secure your data and help you maintain your privacy?
Said goodbye to chrome and Ive made arc my primary browser. Opera, Safari as secondary in line though.
That’s great to hear! I’m proud of you 🥹
My favorite feature about ark is the boosts so you can create a specialized appearance for all your tabs
really nice video, love your energy. I am using Arc for 10 month and I absolutely ❤ it ! But I find it really Memory and emptying the memory isn't intuitive. I am definitely giving a try to Sigma OS
Fantastic video. I really enjoy your style of presenting.
Thanks a lot 🙏
Didn't know about dynamic screenshots! Great video, that's a like and subscription from me
Thanks a lot 🙏😄
I’ve been using Arc since I saw it on some CZcams video. I tried leaving it for Chrome back because Arc was in beta at that time and had some bugs. But I couldn’t because Arc has so many features made my life easier when I’m browsing now I can’t put up with other browsers anymore. I have never heard of Sigma OS before watching this video. Now I’m typing this on Sigma OS but it didn’t work for me unfortunately. Replacing daily shortcuts with browsers own features (like F for focus mode instead of making the video full screen or Space for Lazy search instead of being able the play/stop the video and etc.), and seeing borders in full screen instantly killed it for me. Because I fell in love with Arc because of it’s fully immersive full screen mode web browsing. You don’t see no browser UI or nothing unless you don’t need to. Sigma OS does some stuff better (like being able to use the Touch ID for filling passwords was a plus for me) but it feels really bad and unfinished compared to Arc. Also Sigma is allowing the user only three workspace and wants you to pay for a Pro plan if you want more, whereas Arc is free for all.
Thanks for taking the time to type this out! I completely understand what you mean with not being able to go back to other browsers now.
I love Sigma but its true that it very often feels like a work in progress while Arc has that very polished feel to it, it’s a much cleaner experience.
Arc is free for now but I have the feeling that it will change soon. They’ll need to monetize in one way or another. What do you think? 🤔
If you not paying, you’re the product being sold
@@JujoOfficial Thank you for taking the time for answering. If they reach a wider audience like they probably plan to and be popular, I don't think they are going to monetize. I feel like it also would be a wrong move with how they are portraying their brand like something accessible for all, revolutionizing. There are lots and lots of people who won't leave their standart browsers and defending Chrome, Opera etc. like it's their honor towards Arc even when it is free. If they decide to put a price on it, they can't convince users to leave their free browsers and it would be the end of it. They want everyone to use their product in the end. I don't know let's hope I'm not wrong.
@@callmeNeno Yeah, do not use CZcams, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads and all that then. Quickly leave your free to play games. Think before commenting childish things please.
No problem and thanks for your comments 😄
I completely agree with your thoughts on monetization, they will need to focus on it at some point but I’m wondering how they go about it. Having it free for everyone would probably make it much easier to scale but I can still imagine that having a paid tier might have its advantages.
For the thing of people defending Chrome, Opera, etc like it’s their baby: just look at the comments under this video 😉😂
I've been a Arc user for maybe 6 months already and i'm never looking back, hope it comes to windows in the next months or so ! Tried sidekick but sorry for them it's not nearly as good, it's basically a chrome with a sidebar that has shortcuts, but it doesn't change the way you interact with your browser.
Sigma looks really promosing tho, but i think I like having the search bar inside of the sidebar
Arc is so so good. I love it I got a invite one time & never looked back at chrome ever.
Same here! Glad you’re enjoying it!
What about security? I wouldn't change security for aesthetics or convenience , my main browser is brave and wife and son use Firefox, I would only try one of these if they are up to the same level of security.
And also, where source??
As long as these remain proprietary you can't really trust any claims they might make about security and privacy.
Don't get me wrong, they've got impressive features that I would *love* to see appear in other browsers, but I'd rather stick to Firefox, these aren't even trying to disrupt the Chromium monopoly at all
arc using electron w reputable P.S, closed source kekw
@@someware What's "reputable PS"?
You should've clarified this video was only a feature highlight comparison since you didn't mention anything about transparency, open source, funding and monetization aspect, the chromium based problem that plagues browsers, security and privacy issues, etc.
Like for example, we know Chrome and Edge (Google and Microsoft) steal and collect all your data through different ways. The question would be: Would you be ok with all your information getting collected and stored if it was done through a visually good looking and somewhat useful package?
Edit: They're also both options for Mac only (I know Arc is supposedly coming to Windows, but still).
Hey, great video. I’m using Arch as my secondary browser, it has so many features that I really don’t know how tu use it yet. Still stuck to Safari, as primary. Never heard about Sigma until this video, looks great, will try it right now.
Glad you liked it!
I would suggest moving completely to Arc for a few days then 😉 Everything is quite intuitive, you’ll get it right away once you start using it as a primary! Same for SigmaOS
I am a fan of Floorp. I tried Arc and Brave, but I want a private focused yet nice-looking browser. The Firefox based Floorp is the best I could find.
nice job buddy
The only thing that matters right now is which one comes to Windows first.
Did you do a comparison of two browsers BEFORE trying out one of them?
I use Microsoft Edge all day. I will give Arc a try as my secondary browser once the Windows 11 support of the browser comes out.
Edge is so good
Great video
Thanks a lot 🙏
I suppose that for a techie and an enthusiast, these other browsers are cool. But I work in QA and so webapps are tested on browsers that the majority of users go with; Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, and even Internet Explorer, to some extent.
As cool as these new browsers are, they’re mostly just for personal use and preference.
These guys will be bought by a bigger player very soon. They can't risk this level of innovation leaking into the market
Would be great for the teams if they get acquired I imagine! I hope they’ll at least get a nice check 💸
@@JujoOfficialtrue true, i suppose there are multiple advantages, another being that once they have a big player behind them, many websites will start to be optimised for them...i just hope Facebook doesn't get hold of them
Btw it's spelled "cheque"...L'anglais ne s'est pas complètement débarrassé de son passé français
Yes that’s very true! Let’s see how it goes
Merci de me corriger😂 Je savais que c’était un mot français mais jpensais qu’ils se l’étaient appropriés jusqu’au bout hahah
@francowabongo My thought too.
I'm sticking with Arc at the time, let's see. If I can finally ditch Firefox as my main browser
Good luck!
Please make a video about browsers that are available for windows as well.
I'm interested in your browser reviews!
Thanks a lot 🙏
personally sigmaos and sidekick feels a bit clunky on my m1, especially sidekick breaking all the time and sigmaos pushing premium for every cool feature. Arc just feels much nicer.
Yes I completely agree! I love SigmaOS and am paying for the premium features (the price is well worth it in my opinion, but I can’t deny that Arc is just so much smoother
If you start by using Arc its going to be hard to go back
@@JujoOfficial I tried going back to chrome or firefox (modded to be like arc) because I also use a windows PC, but it's too late now :P. So I just use a combo of opera gx and Arc until the windows release.
Hahahah let’s hope it comes out soon then! Good luck to you
@@JujoOfficial Thanks! Maybe you should do a video on the windows version when it comes out
That’s a great idea, thanks! I’ll definitely keep it in mind 🙏
I can say now that it is out on windows that arc on windows still lacks a lot of these features that make it great on mac, hope they'll get added soon though
top, thanks!
Glad you liked it!
both are available on mac only?
hmm...
what is the other browser?
This is all nice but you should've mentioned they're both MacOS only :/
That’s a good point a lot of people have been mentioning in the comments! Sorry about that :/
I know they’re both working on a Windows version which should come out soon though 😉
Waiting for that, video got me super hyped up to try both just to realize I can't try either 😭
I'll be sticking around your channel though, great content overall!
Damn, I’m so sorry 🥲😂
Thank you so much 🙏 It means a lot 🙌
It's important to note that sigma is paid if you want more than 2 spaces whilst arc is completely free
Yes very true! Thanks for adding it.
I wonder for how long Arc will stay free though? I heard they’re thinking about monetization options
I like to see the clock on the wall, so now I can measure how much time it takes to record a video 😁
Hahahah I was waiting for someone to figure it out 😂
It takes way too long!
Eh, these features sound pretty good, but nothing that'd make me switch from Vivaldi. Even though I have my gripes with it, too.
Maybe a combination of both would work out well.
Still, I went through so many browsers already, so why not?
I'll check out Arc and see what it's like.
Wait broooo, these are Mac only? Pass then
I installed Arc yesterday. Also yesterday, I made it my default browser and removed Chrome from my shortcuts
It's been a journey Chrome!
I am still surprised that SigmaOS despite being a Webkit browser does support Chrome extensions.
cant wait till arc comes to windows
Nice vid!
Just sucks that I don´t have a Mac 🥲
Thanks a lot 🙏 I heard Arc is coming to windows soon though 😉
@@JujoOfficial I know!! I’m so excited 😩
I can imagine 😄 I personally can’t wait for proper mobile apps to come out!
@@JujoOfficial Will you do a review on the Arc mobile iOS app?
"Ermm, what the [web browser] ?"
I will NOT be using a browser called sigma os 💀💀
So, two months later, did you stick with Arc or go back to SigmaOS?
I’m still on Arc at the moment 😉
I tried sigma so and idk why but somehow it was very slow on loading pages so I gave up on it, anyone else experienced this?
Quite buggy still. Vanishing icons in the top bar, lacks Safari's smooth stage manager switching, Safari Import imported nothing. Can't seem to share pages with Apple Notes like Arc does. Safari still tops performance of both Arch and SigmaOS.
480 subscribers! 😳 really? The quality is of 4.8M subscribers' channel
They actually named it Sigma OS 😂😂 I'm dying of laughter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice🎉
i so wish when ARC browser will be available for windows, 😢
I just want a picture of a god-dang hot dog!
Genuine Question...
HOW did you make the subscribe Button glow when you said "pleas subscribe"
also thank you for the video :D
If you’re talking about the little animation in the video I just download it for free on Giphy I think 😉😂
Glad you enjoyed it!
No, the actual Subscribe button had a rainbow glowing up around it for a short time
Oh wow, never noticed that. I imagine it’s probably automatic?
Thanks for letting me know :D
Ok but what does it matter if they're both only available for Mac when Windows has the biggest percentage of users?
>Battle of the browsers
"Both are great browsers"
Oh ok thanks
Any browser like that based on Gecko?
I attempted to try Sigma OS, but it attempted to force me to set it as the default browser after only a few questions, giving me no other option. I suppose not this time.
Oh really? That’s a bit weird and forceful from them
I feel like I was able to avoid that when testing but maybe they changed it?
heyo! we had a ‘skip’ button on this section of the setup, but we were told it wasn’t clear enough… so we’ve changed this to avoid confusion. thanks for trying out SigmaOS and appreciate the feedback 🙌
All those things you said are coming to ios 17 safari. So i'm not sure of the use at this moment.
Great point! I’m looking forward to testing that
Have you seen Stack Next SE?
Not at all, will take a look though :)
Would be great if you revieed Orion browser for Mac!
Thanks for the comment & suggestion! I didn’t know about it but many people have been recommending lately. I’ll definitely add it to the list :)
Do you use it yourself?
I’ve used it but it can be quite buggy and just doesn’t compare to arc or sigma in terms of features set. It uses WebKit so I guess that’s a plus
ARC is goated
SigmaOS is a funny name for a browser ngl
If sigmaOS changes his name I start using it. Reminds me of sigma male and this box of pandora no one ever want to open.
3:40 is that true? For me it doesnt work when im on the desktop or another app
You need to activate the option in your settings > links > Open Little Arc…
Hope this helps :)
sure if you click on a link it opens in the browser. Maybe there was a misunderstanding. In the video you mentioned that spotlight-like search window opens with cmd+T. and I thought that'd work on all apps and on the desktop@@JujoOfficial
i use edge 💀
Still waiting for Windows and Android versions.
as a windows user i feel jealous bcuz none of the both is available in windows 😭😭😭
i think that they should merge together because they both have great ideas and amazing interfaces.
arc is over hyped, its just a browser bro like chill (its pretty cool)
SIGMA OS 💀
Why are new browser companies only supporting apple products?
wait they arnt there for windows
And none are available on Win? Like, why?!
What about privacy?
What about vivaldi?
Password management is an issue. If I am missing something let me know.
I use arc, I just can't give up on the chromium extensions
Sigmaos also has chromium extensions
"Lazy Search" more like MacOS Spotlight but for browsing :I
The browser that never came out.
Reinventing the things that already work okay. Not fixing any of the things which bother me.
Cutting "Edge" technology huh?
how much these pay you
time to buy a mac :p
I’m so sorry 🥲
side bar on the left... leaves video haha. Opera days.
I think it's closable
i use opera
I like Brave Browser more.
wtf, why don't any of these available for windows??
I think they’re working on it and should come out soon! But I agree it’s a bit disappointing for all the Windows users out there 😅
I've been following the Arc developement team up closely, and they debuted om Mac since they used the programming language called Swift (developed by Apple), but they have managed to concert code, and arc will launch for Windows this winter, which I am very hyped for
