8mm Led use karne par v aise hi karna h,,, and 50Led use kare par v 3.3k ohms ka hi resistance lena h

Bro I have used 3.3 kV resistors with 5mm LEDs but when I connected to 230v the resistors are getting melted

If a capacitor is needed, what value would you suggest? Without, there could be a spike that might burn a resistor.
