Polls aren't a fairytale to be believed or not, they're science. In science there's always a probability that you're wrong. There is a chance that these polls are wrong, but that isn't the same thing as polling in general being invalid. It's a random sampling of people, and sometimes that random sampling will accurately parallel the sentiment of the broader populace, and sometimes it'll over sample some populations and under sample others, skewing results. This is why there are margins of error listed on polls, but even those don't tell the whole story...
I'm really trying not to go too technical here, because I don't know your level of familiarity with statistics. Essentially the greater the discrepancy from the results of the poll, the less likely it is to happen. I hope that makes sense. I know you weren't asking to be lectured, but statements like "I don't believe in polls" can do real damage if people start to believe that nothing matters and everything is fake.

Literally the point of polls is to get an approximation of what people are feeling right now. Key word is approximation. When pollsters list the margin of error, 3.1% on the approval question, that means that there is a 68% chance that the actual approval/disapproval numbers are within 3.1% of the shown value. In other words, the remaining 32% would be outside of those values, or 16% chance that more than 42% of people approve, and a 16% chance that fewer than 36% approve. Sure people vote, but polls predict how they will. Right now, they say people don't like Biden.

I enjoy tax breaks. I enjoy grocery prices not being double as they are now. I like patriotism. I like other countries not taking advantage of us and taxing us instead of us taxing them. I like the Abraham accords instead of wars, I liked making money and not losing all my money in the stock market under Biden. I enjoy not having to be worried about world war 3... I can go on and on and on but this very much affects my personal day to day life.

The way questions are phrased and the people asked have a lot of of effects on the poll results.
This was the question exactly as it was phrased in a NYTimes/Siena survey that seemed to suggest similar voter ambivalence toward Biden: “Thinking about the upcoming presidential election in 2024, if the election were held today, who would you vote for if the candidates were Joe Biden, the Democrat, and Donald Trump, the Republican?”

Under Trump, 70% of people lived paycheck to paycheck before the pandemic, today that number is 63%. You can't blame a global crisis on the President who just happened to be in power at the time.

People saved their stimulus because unless you were Amazon, you weren’t open to receive business. Things got even more cheap, less demand. Then things started opening up, people spent their stimulus, creating even more of a demand because people had money they didn’t have before. Then people went back to work and gas demand went up. Higher demand, higher prices.
Business after Covid was very good, people were spending, and prices were higher but people were buying because of stimulus. I mean really, if you all love Trump for his business sense, then acknowledge him for what he is, a business owner who wants to make money. I’m a democrat and my personal values generally align with the democratic platform. However, from a political, social, and practical perspective, I’m not enthused about Joe Biden. I wasn’t enthused about him during his first election, but he was a much better alternative than the insane and incompetent criminal. If there is a Biden-trump rematch, I’ll unenthusiastically vote for Biden again. I wish we all had better choices. I know that there are far better candidates that align with our current society, political environment, and economic needs. I hope they are enabled to surface and that we are not served up the safe and stale offerings from the past. Everything in our world is evolving by the day. We need something better for governance.
