No sme artists are just trash. They leave 1017. Gucci releases their contracts to give them freedom. They go other places and flop even harder than they did with Gucci.

Facts. Gucci is not locking these artists contract rights away. When it doesn't work out he gives them freedom to take their career somewhere else. And then they flop harder

She's completely right. Gucci Mane is my favorite rapper ever (not really a fan of his new stuff.) I've always loved his eye for talent and his enthusiasm for assembling great musical collections. But she's right, you got have the proper A&R. You just can't assemble the hood Avengers and let them run wild. Nobody will ever top the original 1017 and Bricksquad Monopoly. But Deb Antney (Waka's mother) did at least provide a little proper management, which helped big time. I hate Gucci went to jail though, because I feel like his best overall 1017 would have been Young Thug, Ralo, and Pee Wee LongWay; with Rich Homie Quan probably joining. The new 1017 really needed actual A&R, because he had three jail birds (Poo, Foo, and Wes). Enchanting's fanbase did not like her rapping (she was terrible at it), because she is an amazing singer. Which she said she told Gucci she wanted to stay a singer, but he told her he wanted her and K Shiday to be the 1017 version of the City Girls. A real A&R would have told him to keep her a singer. Gucci is completely wasting Big Walk Dog's talent right now, as he's the most lyrically talented one on the roster hands down, got the voice, and the swag. I don't know what he is doing with the white guy he signed named Brezden. Then idk why he was tripping on Shiesty's homeboy Big 30 when had told people he was cool as hell with Gucci, when Big 30 more talented than most of his artists. Artists running labels never really work.

@@billycarter1798 It's not about successful careers, it's about consistent Artist development. It's not just Gucci, it's a lot of labels. Like Roddy Rich, they didn't know what to do with him after he blew up. T.I. has had a lot of successful artists, but just like 1017 the longevity isn't there due to development. Like Waka mama told him, never sign to an artist who is currently still an artist. Blood Raw said the same about Jeezy, that's why USDA never dropped another album. Gucci is great at introducing artists, and getting them hot: i.e Thug, Ralo, Pee Wee, Waka , Poo, Foo. But gotta keep it going. It takes more than just doing a video with an artist after a while. I feel this is why Migos and Dolph didn't sign.

Gucci Mane only picks artist that reminds him of his old self street type shit that’s why none of his artist is on the streets and they’re all in jail or dead he wants somebody that’s so authentic they can’t expose for being fake in the street which is why his label is not successful if he would actually pick people who stayed out of trouble would be making his label, but he’s not plain and simple

Gucci give the wrong artists chances and it’s to the point those bad decisions had overshadow the success of his label. Artist who more likely tryna stay out the streets make it out the streets and if your an artist with one foot in and one foot out it’s the same as being all in! Once you’ve made it to that platform your not even suppose to be associated with the streets. Chief keef is a very great example. He stayed out the way, which is why his career aged like wine! It's levels.... if the industry isn't in high demand for your type or style of music of course its not gonna go as far as one may think but it does go somewhere. Ppl cant be happy within their own success they look at the drakes and futures and think that's the only stage to be on. U can become more successful by how u market yourself. If u leave it in someone else's hands u will get someone else's results.
