@@SteveEdward_ The "hood" is literally natural. Besides the US, Israel, possibly South Korea (due to US military presence), and possibly some African countries, no other country circumcises their infant boys so eagerly.

But the biggest reason was due in the past because US medicine was a big supporter of it as a preventative measure against disease. In modern times, its not important, but the "cultural" aspect of it is still long lasting in the US.

My brother is not circumcised and he and his wife just had my nephew and did not have him circumcised either. They got so annoyed at the hospital, as they were asked at least a dozen! times throughout two days whether or not they were going to have the circumcision.

It's very strange in America not to be circumcised, I didn't realize it's not a thing in the UK. It's not only Jewish people, Muslims also circumcise too. I thought that most Christians did, but I guess that's just in the US

I was just thinking the other day that you guys should check out some "Billy on the Street" it's hilarious. It's the guy from this video and he runs around the streets of New York asking people random questions and acting crazy. It's sort of like Conan's remotes but on crack and more gay. He also has celebrities do stuff with him. There is a lot of content there.

I guess just a cultural thing because most people in the USA have their son's circumcised at Birth. It used tobe seen as for better hygiene. It used to be probably like up to 90% but the rates have gone down in the past years maybe due to immigration.

If you left the tongue permanently exposed to air and chafing against clothes, everyone knows that it would lose sensitivity and turn into a piece of leather.

My sister in law is a doctor and I just called her to see what she had to say. She said that many doctors liked to perform them because of the extremely poor cleanliness in the country before indoor plumbing. Apparently it was easier to avoid UTI's. Well, it's true that the subject can be annoying when the practice is supported with arguments like preventing UTI's and someone's sister-in-law being a doctor in the country(?) where it's the cultural norm. Strangely many countries did and do just fine in that front before indoor plumbing. They didn't need a permanent mutilation to solve an occasional temporary problem.

There was a guy in the UK who created the Dennis the Menace you blokes are familiar with, but at the same time here in the states there was a dude who created the Dennis the Menace we are familiar with, the one in the picture. There were both created at the same time completely independent and without either creator knowing of the other. I believe it even went to court after each creator tried to sue each other. The courts ended up ruling that it was just a crazy coincidence, neither knew of the other's creation.
