Gonna start the courses as soon as I have free cash!!!! 😁 The fact the classes you own for life sold this redhead! 😎
When is your collaboration Elizabeth with lorna Shore ? I need a date to look forward too
Please tell me that you'll make a song together with Will and the rest of Lorna Shore some time in the future. The contrast between Will's inhuman vocals and your amazing opera voice would be absolutely unique
That would be amazing!!
yes yes yes
That would be fuckin awesome!
that would be so sick
yessss
feels like i'm watching will's sister being proud of him for half an hour
Thats a good way of putting it 👌
The giggle she lets out when Will comes on screen, made me smile. Your analogy seems spot on haha.
Couldn't agree more! It's been such a joy to catch up on all these videos after seeing Lorna Shore live in Baltimore, MD this summer. Fan for life!
Seeing an opera singer evolve into a metalhead truely warms me to the core. 😂
*to the deathcore 😎😎
i'm in the classical department and i'm absolutely fascinated from this piece, and not only this...i think metal and classic have many things in common....
@@DG_427 haha purist post
@Apokalypsis Composer What happened to your Twitch account? I went to www.twitch.tv/epikuscomposer and I guess it no longer exists? Found it initially through a google search.
@@Pope_Balenciaga Core was always separated from metal, mostly by metalheads' will
You heard a song. Made a video. Had tea with the singer. Helped stick a camera down his throat to fin an odd ability he has. And now you, an opera singer, are analyzing a death metal songs vocals, while being able to say "that's my friend"
Kick ass!
That's a good point, I wish I could say that
A Phantom of the Opera cover with Elizabeth as Christine and Will as the Phantom would be earth shattering.
Name the price. We’ll make it happen.
Oh man this neeeeeds to happen!
I'd like to suggest that they both select a charity, set a gofundme target and if we get there, they record the duet.
I just contacted Will on Twitter. Let's make this happen.
@@BBRBGR I humbly agree. Fantastic suggestion for the charity.
$6 USD.
We must protect Elizabeth at all costs! She is the bridge that connects while being pure and herself. Best reactor period!
Yes!! EVER!!!
Totally agree her beautiful soul shines forever
Love his vocal capabilities. Btw also check his cover of the band , Sleep Token, he covers their tune “ Hypnosis”. In this song Will Ramos using his “ Clean Vocals “ until the last few bars of the song before he cranks it up a notch at the end of it . The dude also can sing very melodic too , very good as well as his awesome voice that we all are used to . Dudes got some real talent .😎
Would be fun to hear her analyze Sleep Token too.
This cover is insanely good
Hadn't heard the cover, Will Ramos must be protected. Good lord.
I really want to see her reaction to this!
He also uploaded a cover of their song "The Love You Want" thats entirely clean on his patreon
Austin's face palm in the beginning like he's already tired just thinking about all the work he's about to do.
😅😂
Seeing Elizabeth get excited about deathcore is literal music to my ears. No band has made me feel the feelings I do when I listen to Lorna Shore. Such an emotional roller coaster. Their newest song cursed to die got me feeling some sort of way I’ve never felt before.
I feel the same. Literally had tears in my eyes. Lol
Need to find me a woman that gets like that about me cuz it's adorable as fuck. lol
I feel that way about Cradle of Filth, old and new. Its wonderful when you find that band that just speaks to your soul.
Yeah it's amazing the journey he takes you on love the muddy and the cleaner easy to understand lines makes it great with lyrics and still awesome without I have memorized most of it and practiced it not in full belt yet like he does training for that. But he is so good for such a young age as well like really good like it seems like he has been doing this for decades but no he is so versatile.
Lorna is definitely my new favorite band since Will joined, and I had no idea the released another song until I read your comment. Will and the band have been absolutely killing it.
Her gremlin laugh as the song hits harder and harder is just so pure 😂😂😂
Austin Archey (the drummer) is absolutely incredible. He's an incredible musician but is also so dedicated to the craft. Will is a incredible vocalist, but the other members are just as good individually, and when you combine them together it's just something utterly impressive and fun to listen to
Austin is an absolutely incredible drummer, and he's doing this every night/other night on tour all while having a messed up back. What an absolute beast. Back pain ain't no fun, that's for sure and playing drums for almost an hour(maybe even more) every stop on a tour has to be hell.
There’s a few other bands I feel this way about. Most notably would be August Burns Red. All of the guys are masters of their craft, hell Dustin can write music for every instrument on the stage. Lorna shore especially since this surge they’ve had with Will is insanely impressive
@@dunkcity2116 I've played drums for about 20 years now, and this dude is seriously good. Almost to a point you can't train, just genetics or something, his pedal speed is inhuman
@@Arcane808 I’m no stranger to it at all. I’ve drummed for 15 years myself. I wasn’t referring to speed, just the dedication to the craft is all haha

Sun//Eater is a fantastic song.
It's really well put together.
This entire band is super talented.
Will is a beast.
Heard it at 6:30 this morning for the first time watching tank the tech. That final breakdown had no busy being that filthy that early in the morning lmao
Will has the personality of a Jack Russel Terrier and the voice of a demon and I love it
Na he's a labradoodle for sure
This might be the best way I've heard him described, lol
I love your transition from being like a scared wounded gazelle when listening to this stuff and wondering what was going on to being one of the most authorized voices out there to speak on the subject. Hope you and Will have stayed friends, beautiful souls both of you.
Edit: also congratulations!!!
Yes I love this definitely she is the master of harsh vocals at this point to a scientific t and yes both her and will have amazingly beautiful souls
That whole band is crazy with their talents. And I love how Elizabeth gets so nerdy over it where most people would just call it screamo noise and dismiss it as music.
Congratulations Elizabeth! 👶
By far most music in that general genre that I have heard, just sounds like boring, fatiguing, "screamo noise"... but this song sure as hell ain't that. This song is really tastefully done with so many elements to appreciate.
@@Siberius- I disagree with your assessment. Cradle of filth would be "screamo" Lorna shore is more "squealeeio"
@@jasonjuneau2948 - He does some pig squeelin' and goblin noises for sure... among a load of other sounds, always keeping it interesting, and the band knows how to accentuate the vocals to make them even better. My least favourite sound is high pitched screeching, but they do it in a tasteful manner where it's slightly dropped into the background, which makes it sound really nice, surprisingly. Some parts are just beautiful.
Never heard death core like how this band does it. People who don't like this general genre of music, are able to instantly just appreciate and enjoy this song for instance. Pretty wild (without it being heavily pop-inspired or such things).
Okay wait you're just taking issue with the term, I didn't fully realise that lol. I'll use whatever term you want to use. I put it in quotes just to use your terminology in the OP. Like a very lax catch-all term for this very general overarching umbrella-category of music.
most people? i doubt it,. Classical choir singer here: That's masterwork level of music, trust me...
Will's annunciation and pronunciation of words is so clear even through such harsh distortion. He is on another level.
I dindn't understand a word :P The only guy who's screams are really clear is Phil Bozeman from Whitechapel. You can understand every word from him
@@LAZER1986 Let's not forget Amon Amarth - Johan Hegg has been at it for about 20 years and manages to keep a remarkably clean enunciation through quite heavy (false chord) distortion. That being said, I find Will fairly understandable most of the time.
I must've understood at least six words, which is pretty good. But Lorna Shore communicates directly to my reptile brain, I can feeeel the song, so words are secondary
@@LAZER1986 i need lyrics 💀
So when are you and Will going to collaborate? I could see some nice opera vocals in a Lorna Shore Breakdown working out over Will’s lows. Make it happen, make us happy :)
THISSSSSSS ^^^^^^^^
Considering her previous comments on questions/ requests about a will collab (mostly winky faces), I'm pretty sure we can be optimistic.
it would be like an Igorrr track!

The opening called "The Rumbling" from Attack on Titan has some screaming in it. Not to Lorna Shore's level but it was definitely a pleasant surprise to hear harsh vocals in an anime theme.
This, this this this.

This was a great reaction!:) Could you guys imagine a couple of years ago this sweet and innocent operagirl would sit here giggling enthusiasticly and deep analyzing the most harsh and deep guttural voices in metal. I love this progression:) Great stuff Elisabeth:)
I didn't see this coming at all. The whole journey has been very interesting to say the least :)
Your reaction to him coming on screen is the cutest. You can tell you really admire him and are excited to hear new music! Welcome to the metal family

As both a classically trained musician and a metal fan, I always look forward to your content like this! You're so non-judgemental and I can always feel your respect for other musicians even if it's not your own personal taste. Seeing your Lorna Shore/Will Ramos content is always such a treat!! You both are such gems 🖤
This is the exact reason why I love watching her videos! I'm full blown metal head but my mom is a classic singer and after listening her sing for 20 plus years I gained so much interest and knowledge of how human sound works. Or at least that was what I thought... I've learned so many more things about extreme vocals and vocals in general watching her videos.
Absolutely! I'm a classical musician/singer and (as of recently) a composer, and Im a huge metal fan. There are so many similarities - virtuosic instrumentalists, vocalists pushing the limits of the human voice, grand theatre, and epic story-telling. Elizabeth genuinely appreciates good music, and her sense of wonder and unbridled GLEE are so infectious.
The amazing part is, if you watch her first reactions it was scared but curious and over time she has truly come to love it. Open mindedness can bring the world together.
I constantly tell people that my classical piano training is why I'm an aggressive metal head.
Well, I'm going to say this here and now. This is the best reaction channel in the world, period!
Elizabeth, thank you again for your contribution to the metal world, breaking prejudices and stereotypes, in a totally loving and educational way. Thank you!
You're right, seeing this reaction, after seeing the inside of Will's throat is something else hahahaha you can focus more on the artistic part perhaps.
Love to you, the baby and Kirk.
I was thinking the same thing the other day. The reason for that is because these are not "reaction" videos. She is actually analysing and breaking down the songs. And not just yelling "WWHHHHOOOOAAAA" or "OOOOMMMMMMGGGGG"
I totally agree with you. Most reaction channels are garbage where they just listen to a song, nod along with the song, tell their viewers how much they loved it(even when they clearly don't) and then they move on to the next song. Those channels are going to fail in the long run.
Would love to see your opinions on his covers of Sleep token's- Hypnosis and Chelsea grin's- Recreant. This dude is amazingly talented and we should protect him at all costs.
Both are incredible covers
Recreant has my favorite vocals by will so far. He sounds unhinged on that shit.
Protect him from what?? Will is the last boss in the most metal game of life ever
Recreant fkn goes off!
I love how you are happy like a child when you're listening to epic music. You don't just listen. You feel it to the core. As everyone should. You're literally the happiest person ever. And that's infectious. Keep drawing smiles on our faces! 🖤
I found you because of Lorna Shore and I adore you! As a Mama of 3 congratulations!!! Also your postpartum hair is beautiful 😍 I love how you break down wills voice so everyone can appreciate their art I can’t wait to show my 8 year old tour reaction to these because he loved your throat scope video. She’s even more excited now that the codes been cracked on how Will does it
There were a few times where it looked like she had an orgasm just from listening to his vocals. Lol
Elizabeth is so used to this sound already, that she wants to repeat the whole song again and again. I like to see the improvement in you and your channel as well.
Will sounds like absolute evil, but every interview I've seen of him he seems like a genuinely awesome person. Such a wild contrast!
@@JB-mh5xy I agree with you. 100%. A lot of metal is incredibly deep. So many emotions, and honestly one of the best outlets for said emotions. Metalheads are some of the kindest, most down-to-earth, appreciative people on the planet. I know metal isn't evil. However, Will's vocals only sound that way. Not even the message in the lyrics, only the sound and tonality of his voice. Will is a massive talent, from extre harsh vocals to melodic clean tones like in his one take of Sleep Token's "Hypnotize" Sorry for the confusion

Will has taken Lorna Shore in such a magical direction. The lyrics are very choral, almost angelic?
Also have to admire the respect you have for harsh vocals. I do not know about many clean singers who can look at harsh vocals and go "wow, that's really cool"
With CJ it felt more evil. The contrast between immortal era and pain remains is amazing and the band are soo talented
It is absolute musical genius because him referencing Icarus is actually in foreshadowing. The person who believes that they’re on the vent and they’re lucid, dreaming to none other than fail, and later songs throughout the album the writing for this album was absolutely astonishing.

Your reaction is what I look for from you: delighted nerdery, scholarly information, and honest emotional response. You always bring a smile. As to Lorna Shore and Will, I usually don't like deathcore, but they have just the right sound for me to enjoy it immensely. While being brutal, the chorus here is glorious in it's triumphant hubris. The latest single, "Cursed to Die", has some moments I find just plain beautiful.

This is currently my favourite contemporary song. Hands down, it embodies everything i loved about mid 90's black/death metal.
YESSSS🤘🤘🤘I’m not into deathcore. But this band has enough black/melodic qualities that I’m freaking hooked. Dude’s voice has no equal
I think you’d really enjoy Shadow of Intent if you like this song. Specifically The Heretic Prevails. Genuinely mind blowing song vocally and the instrumentals are sick too!
Yeah! Let’s get some Ben reactions on here
Metal is such an incredibly powerful and diverse genre of music. I think I've been so taken with it just because of the raw, insane amounts of talent involved. Even the members of a generic metal band stomp most other musicians by a long shot. So many raw human emotions can be portrayed, and create something beautiful even when it's so hellish and hectic.
Ok so I won't lie have been a silent fan for quite some time. And your knowledge and scientific breakdowns of vocal knowledge have actually helped myself a great deal. And I truly love the relationship you and Will have formed. Tbh he's reached legend status before even being 30 yo, he is one of my biggest idols as a metal vocalist (next to Alex Terrible) but I would absolutely LOVE to see you react and disect the vocals of Dan (Danny) Tucker of Crown magnetar, he is an absolute MONSTER on the mic. Songs like Black Lotus, Full spectrum Hatred, or God is my enemy would be great for your talent of vocal knowledge, his range, transitions, and all around delivery are delightfully brutal and I think you would enjoy giving them a listen, lemme know what you think?
I LOVE how you've gone from jumping at every blast of drums and astonishment at the grueling low vocals like in Slaugter reaction, to absolutely loving death metal!!
This was so fun! Your cute reactions, you are no more afraid of his voice 🤭❤ It's cool to be spoiled by metal👌🤣💀this is my favourite song of all time, it's so unique, beautiful and epic! This is my ringtone too 🤭 wanna see more Lorna watching videos of you! And go listen to Will's cover "Hypnosis", it will be surprising!!! And we wanna see your reaction to it!!!
As another commenter said, a collab between you and Lorna shore for a song would be amazing! I absolutely love when bands use typically non-metal instruments like saxophone, violin, or orchestral pieces in their music. Operatic singing would certainly be something special.
This band really do exceed expectations every time, I have very very high hopes for the future! They really make people feel some kind of emotional feelings they never knew they had, honestly an unbelievably great band
On the combination of anime and death core, I have to mention Brand Of Sacrifice. The band itself and all their songs are fully based on Berserk. Great singer as well! And he has done a cover of The Rumbling (saw it mentioned in the comments) together with Nik Nocturnal of you're interested in that
Yes! These dudes are SO incredible
I know the vocals are always the focus of this band, but the music alone is just so amazing. They’re all super talented.
I love her reaction talking about knowing what it looks like. It is so genuine, I love this channel! Also I think Elizabeth is a metal head now
First off congratulations to you both on the brand new baby boy. So glad to see you checking out more Lorna Shore, I highly recommend you checking more of the new singles. Most of all though, please do check out Wills cover of Hypnosis by Sleep Token. Trust me, you will be blown away.
As for deathcore being merged with anime or paired for sound or premise, I would suggest you listen to the band brand of sacrifice. Most of their songs are actually based on the anime known as berserk
I've loved both classical and metal for a very long time. I can not tell you how refreshing and heartwarming it is to see an artist cross over and appreciate metal without dismissing it as "noise."
Thank you.
Also, you should definitely check out Brand of Sacrifice. Kyle Andersons vocals are phenomenal and the whole group are just the sweetest dudes. and everything about them from song lyrics, names, and even band name is all based off of the Manga/Anime Beserk. one of the most brutal pieces of art out there. highly recommend.

I watched your channel already before you started big into metal and I could never ever have imagined, how much joy you could pull out of this music. I love it ❤️
I think one of my favorite details about the way the lyrics in this song are performed is how early on his higher vocals are used with the "I'll touch the sun" line, and as the song goes on his deeper vocals are used for "I'll eat the sun", and there's even that section towards the end where it goes from one of those high and low back-and-forths to the other one after the other. Love the song, love your reactions, I definitely support the idea of a collab!
I love how excited she is. Her face just lights up with the beautiful melodies. Love this ❣️👍

WOW! WHAT A VOICE! That man has a vocal range, that's just insane!! 😲🔥 And I also really enjoyed the song as rock/metal head myself! Great reaction too! I need to check out more Lorna Shore
If you haven't already, I think you'd really enjoy fleshgod apocalypse. They even have an opera singer in many songs. Cold as perfection is a very good example!
Great seeing you have so much fun! Will is such a beast. Lorna Shore and Shadow of Intent truly bring the deathcore genre to a new level. In a sea of boring, lifeless slams/breakdowns, when Lorna do a breakdown, it's an epic one. Although, that To The Hellfire one is a once in a career kind of deal. That breakdown probably changed deathcore forever.
It’d be great to see a collab where you did the operatic background vocals.
I will never be able to stress enough how talented Austin archey really is. Playing drums fast is cool, playing them fast and well is cooler, but what he does, both fast and slow, is otherworldly cool. Watch his drum playthroughs, he looks so casual doing everything he does.
do you think we'll ever hear you do doing backing vocals on a Lorna shore song one day? Like the kind of thing they have in their songs already but more dynamic, as you an Will Ramos are friends I guess
Oh my!
Thank you, again, Elizabeth, for what might be your best reaction yet! This was so much fun!
Mad, mad, mad respect for the whole band here. Their coordination is so incredibly tight, especially in the transitions between the (very, very) fast sections and the much slower drops. They're just fantastic.
I'm glad you mentioned how much hard work Austin puts in on the drums. I have it on good authority (from Tank the Tech) that Austin is a real human being and not some kind of robot in disguise. But if ever there were a prime candidate for being a metal drumming god, it's Austin.
With this song, of course, I have to re-evaluate the sub-genre in which Lorna Shore fits. When I first encountered them, I heard their style called blackened deathcore. Having listened to their "And I Return to Nothingness" EP, I realised they were better described as blackened, symphonic melodeathcore. I now realise, however, that they're actually progressive, blackened, symphonic melodeathcore . . .
😉
I don’t know if I can say a lot of “deathcore” makes it into anime, at least not the ones I’ve seen, but I do know that a lot of Japanese Metalcore makes it in for openings and endings and stuff
That contortion in his false cords was absolutely amazing. That video was just so EFFING COOL I loved seeing it! Totally gets me to appreciate his music so much more! \ , , /,
Also: I adore just how giggly and excited you get when talking about music in general. It's just so much fun and I have such a fun time laughing along with you! Whenever I watch you singing I just giggle and think to myself "And she likes metal and D&D and anime!" It's just so cool!
Congrats on the baby, by the way! So happy for you!
Awesome content as always. You definitely should check out their newest song "Cursed To Die". It's easily the best single off this new album yet.
personally i think Into The Earth is a much better song overall, probably the best off the new record so far, followed by Sun//Eater
I saw the video showing how the throat works, and I actually have a lot more appreciation for what it takes to do all this... but personally, I can't say I enjoy it. Knowing that it's in English I can't enjoy it because I don't understand the lyrics (and I enjoy songs in languages I don't even know).
I know.. to each their own.. and to be honest, I have started to like more music because of videos like this.. getting the behind the scenes (or vocal cords) knowledge gives a greater appreciation for the talent that is there, even if you don't like the end product.
(Edit: Nearing the end.. if I had the lyrics in front of me, I could hear it better, having some of it told to me here, I enjoy the song a bit more.. Will probably have to hear it again with the words in front of me)
You MUST check out the brand new single, "Cursed To Die"... it's *BEAUTIFUL*
Gotdamn. He is in-cred-ible. And your reaction knowing your expertise and visualizations of what he is doing in his throat (the amazing twisted vocal coordination) and your glee to this is beyond amazing.
Lorna Shore - Into The Earth. Great song where he does more vocal techniques.
I love your channel 😭
Hey I really like your videos keep it up.
A video recommendation from me would be Archspire - Bleed the Future. The singer is incredibly fast.
I absolutely love this. I found your channel because of Will Ramos. I like how open minded and positive you are about my favorite music genre. It has been hard to find people who like the same bands as me. Thank you for doing this.
You should really do into the earth next the breakdown is crazy as it always is with will
love her excitement. gets me every time! I wish I could listen to new music with the same intensity lol
Just a reminder, Joe Cocker's 'With a little help from my friends', live Woodstock 69 version. Performance, voice and passion like no other.
You are so awesome. Lol your reactions are great. Btw congratz on the baby!
Just wanna say the singing at the start is in Greek not Latin, the words are Kyrie Eleison It's an old Greek prayer song that means "God, Please save us" or "God have mercy" depending on how it's said
So...... when are we gonna see a collaboration between Will and Elizabeth? Like good and evil, light and dark or angels and demons!!
Please 🙏
I honestly love your reactions to metal vocalist! I love that it shows someone branching out beyond their particular tastes and finding and appreciating the art for what it is.
That being said I’m really surprised that you haven’t done an analysis of Periphery yet! You really really need to do one for their song Reptile! Yes it’s a long song but I promise you will not be disappointed. If Reptile is too long, Stranger Things is a great alternative to start with! That band is absolutely incredible and your analysis and reaction would be amazing!!
Gonna leave a suggestion here:
You should react to protest the hero - sequoia throne Or another song called bloodmeat
I'd love to see your thoughts on it and i bet you'll love his vocal range
Man that's almost classical music to me now. Both those songs are from my favorite album of theirs
