    I would like to see an honest breakdown of the expenses involved in all the extra trouble and labor costs involved in Parker's convoluted machinations to get around paying the extra 5 % royalty. I bet the difference in profits is negligible, and he would save enough in the sanity of himself and his crew to make the extra royalties worth it to just stay where he is and keep running when things are going smoothly.

    • @aaronsondag8347
      @aaronsondag8347 Před 2 lety +7

      You do realize that extra 5% is on top of all gold collected after 1500 ounces right? That means 20% on the next 1500 ounces which is 300 ounces in total just for the second step. An increase of 75 ounces. At $1700 an ounces that makes an extra $127,500 dollars that parker has to pay. And maybe $5,000-$10,000 to move the wash plants plus a couple days of work.

      As the owner of the company, Parker owns all the gold mines by his crew. As his employees, Parker is responsible for then paying his crew. I assume they each get paid a percentage of the value of the gold.
      Parker is responsible for all expenses, including housing and feeding the crew. He takes all the risk, and so receives the largest share of the gold.

    • @TrapperScottyAlaskan
      @TrapperScottyAlaskan Před 2 lety

      No, no, no. Parker and Tony are paying hourly, Rick and Fred are paying a percentage. When starting up the risk of no gold forces a percentage pay out. if you get no gold, nobody gets payed. Every miner there is rolling the dice about making it pay. If you stick it out, a percentage could mean a better pay check. Rick is paying new guys by the hour, I'm sure, but Cruzy and and Carl and Brennon still on percentage. Trapper scotty Alaska

    Royalty rates changing after certain gold amounts are to keep Parker’s operation from getting too big therefore stopping him from competing with tony. If Parkers operation gets too big he might outbid tony on future claims and outcompete him.
