Mwen kontan gade videyo sa a. Paske mwen pale Kreyòl Ayisyen e mwen twouve ke "Kouri VIni" sanble anpil ak Kreyòl ke m pale a. Men fò m soulinye ke "Kouri Vini" vle di nan lang pa m: "hurry!" "Come quick!". M paka tan pou m wè dokimantè PBS la. Mèsi Malika Stevely pou bel entevyou sa a.

Completely different languages. Kouri-Vini means "Go/Come". It refers to the differences in conjugation from Louisiana French and Kouri-Vini. Spoken Haitian Creole is very difficult for me to understand. Doesn't sound like our language to me but, they are related because our ancestors come from the same language groups/language families in Africa.

Thanks for this message and congratulations on your journey. Please note however that French will not help you with KV pronunciation. In fact I also don't recommend it for learning KV at all. International French does not use the same sounds as French as they are not the same language. I teach a course if interested.
