    I foster for Bottle Babies Rescue and check your videos first for working with the dogs I foster. I felt way more confident about my dog whelping after watching your video, twice, showing the process from start to finish. Thank you so much. I’m getting ready for when these puppies get older, watching crate training.

    Hi Ethan and Kat. Thank you so much for your videos. We are getting a Braque Francais for our family the end of September and we have no experience at all!!! Your videos are so helpful. I am learning so much.
    Would you guys give some ideas what to do when someone has a backyard with no fence? Is it possible to train a dog to stay in the backward and not run away??
    Thank you

    Love your video's!! You guys have helped us so much, THANK YOU!! Question for YAWA: We have a 4 month old GSP. We know how important exercise is for a GSP. Is it possible to over exercise your GSP? We usually start our day off with him with a 4 mile walk/run in the neighborhood before work. We usually end the day with a 2 mile walk in the evening. He "seems" fine and sleeps well. Do you feel this could be detrimental later in life? i.e. will he be broken down later in life due to all his activity?

    Wow, loving the content! I'm just wondering if it's possible to start with clicker training but then git rid of the clicker later on. I'm amazed with the ease and efficiency the clicker provides in the puppy stages. I just don't want to carry around a clicker or rely on it when out adventuring. Context: no intention of using collars that beep or vibrate. Thoughts?

    Hey guys, I have some specific questions, I know your videos are most geared towards puppies. However my family has a new (to us) 1.5yr old Small Munsterlander. She is familiar with heeling, crating, woah... but has bad manners in terms of getting up on the counter, whining during crate time, runs off on walks/hikes (doesn’t respond to ‘here’ every time we ask her to come back to us). I was wondering if you could also talk more about that age of dog, ‘what to do to correct bad habits’ or when you get a new non-puppy dog. Thank you!

    Really love your videos and am a subscriber. I had recently bought a crate made of wire and in your video you didn’t recommend these. My wire crate has a divider feature. Can I use this divider inside of the wire crate for my new pup and gradually increase the amount of space for the pup as he grows? Or do you think I should buy a separate small plastic crate just for while he’s a puppy? Thanks

    Question for next Yawa. We will be getting a new golden puppy in November. How would you suggest training and exercise when we have below zero temps and lots of snow? We got our last puppy in the Spring and don’t know what to expect this time for potty training, exercise etc. when you’re cooped up in the house.

  • @liannewol

    Hi again, do you have any tips for bite inhibition training for an 8 week old gsp? I have 3 little kids so it's possible that there are too many high pitched sounds in the house but the yelping when she bites does not seem to have any effect. She takes food from my hand softly but bites when she's trying to play.

    I’m wondering if you can clarify something for me. We should still be crating a puppy if our current dog has free range in the house? Also, if I’m crating the puppy while I’m working from home how long should they be crated for, a couple of hours? TIA

    Enjoy the video. We are expecting the birth of our lab puppy. I understand that when selecting your pup you should cradle him in your arm on his back and rub his belly. Are you familiar with this? What am I looking for? This is our first in a long time new pup. We had been had rescues and been a foster home in the past.

    I have 2 GSPS, older one is 7 years old, rescued from South Korea and he is familiar with crate but we got separated for 7 months last year due to COVID-19. He was stuck in China where we lived for 4 years but now he is returned to us to the US but he will stay in the crate during day but he hates being locked in the crate. I think he is a bit traumatized from last year while he was stuck in China. How can I train him to feel safe in the crate again? He used to stay in the crate when I go out and we didn’t have any problems.

  • @thrifteddrip7442

    My puppies don’t potty in the crate or fry in the crate really but what we are struggling with is accidents still. One puppy is a female 11 week old pit bull, a female 14 week old pit pull and an 11 week old Mini Australian shepherd. My two pit bulls go right outside and potty and do #1 and 2 all the time several times an hour. But still will have a few accidents during the day. It’s like they don’t really know how to tell me they need to go. Soon as there behavior changes I take them out, soon as the start sniffing I take them out. If they are playing then suddenly stops I take them out and they alway go outside. If they are sitting by the door they go out and do their business. But sometimes they still have an accident. But my mini Aussie is doing great he hardly has any accidents at all. It’s been about a month of this we got them all just a few weeks apart from each other.

    Hey guys I have a brand new puppy that is 8 weeks old. Do we put her in her crate when she gets tired midmorning and mid afternoon. We have been letting her sleep in her crate but when she wakes up she wines to let us know she is up. I am assuming that is ok to go get her so she can go out?

    • @StandingStoneKennels
      @StandingStoneKennels  Před dnem

      Yes absolutely! If they wake up after being quiet in their crate and whine that is their way of letting you know they are needing something, most likely a potty break!
