Excellent information, I was looking for a driver to tune a like new EA5000 (5105) and trying to determine the value of some performance upgrades vs leaving it alone. When your video popped up, Question Answered! Thank you, it's hard enough to pick up anything besides the 7910's! I appreciate the inspiration /motivation.
no, that will not work, the base gasket on the 5105 is huge with 0,039" / 1mm, stock squish with gasket is around 0,033" / 0,85mm. I recommend a squish and base cut or at least you can use a thinner gasket to bump up the compression.
@@Dechsi87 gasket kind of looks like a 550xp, or same thickness anyhow, right. i just got a Maruyama MCV51, i took the muffler off last night, the bolts were really hard to get out. once i got it off i could clearly see how thick the gasket was. i think i might try and find some gasket material maybe 15 thousandths thick and then make a base gasket out of it. on the muffler i took a long thin screwdriver and knocked out all of the catalytic out of the muffler, then opened it up a bit, an also removed the screen from the outlet. waiting on the double d tool to arrive to re tune the saw, but i can turn the adjusters with small needle nose pliers so i might give it a shot that way. thank you for your reply, i wont be able to make my saw run like yours, i wish, but im hoping a compression increase along with opening up the muffler will still make it a good running saw.

Nice. That was a angry one 👌
that simply sounds like threethousand rpms more :D
can the base gasket safely be removed on this saw for a bump up in compression

How much do you charge to port a 5105 and send to the uk ?
Did you mean 5105 and not 545 in the description?
I mean these two saws, 5105 and 545
I just unboxed an ea4300, my first brand new saw. I am just waiting on a carb tool and then I am pulling the cat.
