Police Scotland Fife Pipe Band at the Forres British Championships 2024 - Best Drum Corps.

Police Scotland Fife Pipe Band's March, Strathspey and Reel (MSR) selection performed at the RSPBA's 2024 British Pipe Band Championships in Forres.
The band's selection was:
March: The Glengarry Gathering - Angus Mackay (1813 - 1859)
Strathspey: Blair Drummond - traditional
Reel: The Smith of Chilliechassie - traditional
It is great to hear Angus Mackay's march The Glengarry Gathering here. This is its first appearance here on the Dronechorus channel which includes more than 600 recordings! It's a fine competition march so many thanks to the Police Scotland Fife Pipe Band for being so enterprising.
The championships were organised by The Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association in conjunction with YBD Music Ltd. They were held on Saturday, 8 June 2024 in Grant Park, Forres.
Police Scotland Fife Pipe Band is led by Pipe Major Pipe Major David Wilton with Drum Sergeant Mick O'Neill. Ten grade bands competed in the Grade One contest and Police Scotland Fife was placed fifth. The band's drum corps were placed first for drumming - an outstanding achievement.
