We would be without construction, which I think is the only downside. But that is an easy sacrifice to make. There is a 2005 private server but it can only be accessed on a laptop. I miss the old graphics.

Outside of individual client features that are essentially allowing players to cheat their way through content, or enabling impossible switches in PvP and PvM alike, we are also seeing increased usage of non-approved third-party clients that readily provide easy access to bot scripts.
This is how they get you. First you play ironically, to mock the game, but then you continue playing and its not ironic anymore. And then you realise that RS3 isn't designed to be fun, it was designed to be as not-fun as possible and the less fun you have the more you play it, and its already too late, you have hundreds of hours already

Why does it look so bad! HD era in 2012 looked great, why did they make it look so much worse. All they had to do was expand the render distance and make a decent looking skybox. Now it looks like a game you would get out of a cereal box.
To be fair, to enjoy pking on rs3 (or used to because they removed pvp...), you have to understand what the button mashing does. The most important mechanic when it came to pking was the whole "stun" mechanic as you were prevented from eating food when stunned ( I do believe you could still sip brews). So the whole game was saving up adrenaline and then stunning your opponent and doing your threshold abilities to kill them before they could eat. To count this you have defensive abilites like freedom and anticipation. Anticipation is pre-empt and makes you unstunnable for 10 seconds, Freedom breaks all stuns/roots and prevents you from being stunned/rooted for a period of time. Each class gets a couple stun abilities, usually 1-2 basics and a threshold one. This is how you died in the start of the video, you see your character stunned with little birdy things over your head and then they popped ya with a threshold ability (ability that costs adrenaline to cast). The other "advanced" stuff that you needed to know was about the burn abilities and abilities that dmg yourself. The burn abilities do more dmg if you can get your opponent to move, so always moving around is a good idea, but you want to be careful not to have a bleed/burn on your as it'll do more dmg to yourself. Then you have the threshold abilities that sacrafice HP to do bigger dmg ratios. Untimely one of those abilities as your opponent stuns/combo's you and you can basically kill yourself lol. It's more fun if you know what you're doing but absolutely abusive if you're not used to the EOC combat style. It's a shame they removed PvP from RS3 because I actually enjoyed pking in both f2p and p2p. Obviously f2p was less abusive than p2p. You could literally 2v1, 3v1, 4v1 in f2p EOC if ya knew what you were doing.
I was fine with the idea of duel weilding when the EOC released I was invited to the beta when I saw the abilities I stopped playing until old-school came out I would not mind duel weilding.

The play is not PvP in RS3. If all you care about is PvM and lore, RS3 is for you, but if what you want is PvP, then no. That shit's dead, and it takes a huge amount of learning to even take part in it. The skill ceiling is insane compared to OSRS where you just tri-brid and tick manipulate sure, but why would you even put in effort to learn PvP (In rs3) if no one engages in it anyways. PvP in RS3 is so much of a skill gap that you could beat someone in best in slot t95 gear if you were in green dragonhide provided you played your cards right and combo'd correctly. It's a great system, but it's so difficult to get into with practically zero reward/enticement, and visual clarity is also horrendous. The combat is incredibly confusing to anyone just starting out and it's overwhelming as hell. When I first started playing, I quit within 30 minutes because of how confusing everything was. PvM & the rest of the game is where RS3 shines. The quests are still phenomenal, the world building is excellent even if some of the lore is a bit out there, and it feels like they value your time by not making every skill take hundreds of hours to 99 of active gameplay. A lot of skills can be leveled mostly AFK instead of having to constantly pay attention like in OSRS.
I first started on rs3 in 2013 then my account got hacked in like 2014 and i switched to oldschool. thousands of hours later i got bored and wanted to give rs3 another shot. I played it basically over a whole summer. Got multiple 99s (thank you double xp weekend). Was doing a lot of the raids 3 the underwater stuff anad doing a lot of godwars dungeon 2, and kerapac from gwd3. I was even doing all the events getting dope fashion and grinded my way to priff. I don't play rs3 anymore and still an osrs sweat. But I gave rs3 a legit chance and that is more than any oldschool player would. I love the pvm it is extremely rewarding and the games graphics look great. But sadly over time rs3 feels like a ghost town compared to oldschool and seeing the mtx heavily advertised (i have never once bought any mtx in rs3 you don't need to) it is jus annoying seeing a bunch of adverts everytime you log in. All in all I love runescape and everything about the game, osrs, rs3 idc. I love them all. Everyone has a preference play what you want or play both, trust me it won't let you down. Invention and archeology are def must trys for any rs3 player. Arch was perfect to afk and provides massive boosts to doing anything in the overworld of runescape. And invention is so complicated but once i started perking out my dope ass tier 90 weapons i was killing bosses so god damn fast it was very addicting.
Honestly RuneScape just needs to become a legal gambling website. Release dice in old school. And allow people to convert their gold to real life $ and vice versa. Everyone will be pking. Dueling, grinding pvm for $$. Also they need to release limited item quantities from hard ass raids bots could never attempt

I played rs3 and enjoyed eoc up untill they started to change mining and smithing and bring more nonsense armour. Then i switched to osrs and im very happy and having fun doing bosses and slayer, i havent done pvp much but i like doing lms every now and then. I dont understand whats the problem of the game in this vid if you mind letting me know in the comments.
I went back to it around the time they reworked mining & smithing, I remember Trahearn hour got nerfed to shit and rune was worthless, but everyone was just mining gem rocks for onyx instead. It was like 2m/hr afk, which isn't much in rs3 especially for being gated behind all those quests, but it was still nice. Then they said too many were coming into the game and removed onyx from GEM ROCKS so the random slayer monsters that drop it for no reason would still be worth killing. Of all the shit Jagex has done that was the one thing I could never get over.

All I got to say about RS3 is ability rotation is a very important factor. The only PKing I do on it is when the mini game spotlight is on Cwars or Soul Wars

There is only one time logging into rs3 is appropriate. and that was years ago to swap your gp to OSRS, then you log out and never look back boys.
