Ten laps. Unsure on speeds, but they do slow them down (or stop them) sometimes. Personally, I would not do them again. Although I tall (over 6 feet) and even with the seat pushed back all the way it is not the most comfortable. It is worth doing once, but then it would be up to you if you want to do them again. The kids I saw doing it seemed to love it though!
