Thanks very much for your videos! Just a quick question if i may, is there much difference between civil 3D 2018 and the 2020 version that you're using? Will there be functions that are not available for 2018 version?
Not much difference. You can look at my other videos 2023 version you will see the methods are same.

Sir can I ask, when Im doing the corridor part same with your video but my screen pops up an error and it says target object not found. thank you for your immediate response! Im from Philippines love your videos
So it's a warning and not an error? This is a very important distinction to make. If it's a warning, there could be nothing wrong with the model. If it's an error, then there probably is. And you may have not set a surface target. Probably for your daylight or something.
Expand the eerror; which subassembly is it referring to? Is is an offset or elevation error? If it's an alignment warning, then you probably have width targets set, but those targets don't exist for the entire length of the alignment and that's no problem.

Also, Whenever I go into object viewer 3d Civil crashes every time. Is there something I am doing wrong? my sample file I am working on has a reletively low amount of geolocation points. It doesnt look like a heavy file at all.

How to draw alignment of constant grade over contour lines?
First draw the alignment then go to profile set the grade
@@nasseryariphdpe648 it would result in too much cutting and filling. I want to select the path with minimum cutting and filling for hill road.
Suppose two contour lines have elevation difference of 1m. I want to maintain 10% grade. So i have to fit 10m of road between each contour lines. Is there any tool to make it easier?
