Covering yourself in zombie parts was said to make you ultra sick but then other times the characters are covered in zombie bits and are totally fine. How would getting zombie blood in your mucus membranes NOT cause you to catch something?

All the bite does is give you such a high fever that shuts down your immune system and then the virus takes over cus it was already in their system. All the bodies falling would pile up and create a huge barricade of flesh. That’s what always annoys me in any zombie media. When you take out a good chunk of zombies in the front of the horde, it’s gonna cause a massive pile up. But I guess that’s too realistic.
