@@uneasewill1383 he needed like a 25% dmg nerf not bloody 54%. The attack damage compensation was also dog crap. He was used solely for his bomb. Without the huge dmg bomb, he's useless and there's literally no reason to play him. Absolutely sad pick rate atm.

I remember way back when, Giant sSkeleton could be pushed forward by goblins. Speedy GS was rarely useful, but funny as hell when it worked.
Hahahaha the days! I think they need to bring that back. It's trash on defense now and basically impossible to push if they have a tower or fast cycle.
It also gets distracted by everything.

Better how? They both have their place. I'm just saying RG is lower-skill/easier to use then golem. I mean, the RG literally takes like 3 steps and he's already damaging a tower. A golem takes longer then that just to deploy.

Dude, I'm so sad that the GS got nerfed. It was by far my favorite card and I feel like it was properly balanced before the death damage nerf. Supercell said it didn't feel fair to just put it down and stop an entire push. But to me, and others, that was the entire reason for using it. But now it's just borderline unplayable because over half of it's death damage was taken away, but hey, at least we got a small buff in normal damage. That makes it all good, right? Right?
It felt way too braindead to just clone tornado mirror its way to the tower, imo it would've been better to just nerf building damage
@@wumpoooo I think it was fine the way it was. Most people didn't even use that strat unless it was in 2v2. Plus there are much better tanks in the game like PEKKA, Golem, Goblin Giant, basically any tank is better than the GS

@@wumpoooo It only does 708 to troops at max level, so it's pretty bad since it can't kill anything except for swarmies or really fragile troops. It can't kill any tanks/mini tanks/tank busters or anything like that. And I think the double damage to towers is balanced because let's be honest, when do you actually see a GS get to the tower? Very rarely. And since it targets troops unlike almost every other tank, it's very easy to kite and kill

its only because of the nerf, GS used to be my main card for the death damage and it took work to actually get it to the tower. i think that if they wanted to balance they should have kept the 1000+ against troops and -50% damage to crown towers

“Giant Skeleton” has always been my favourite card for 5 years. Never really strayed from it. 100% needs a buff, preferably speed. Through intense adaptation and several deck reworks. I am now playing “Giant Skeleton” clone with hogs. It works most of the time. I have always enjoyed it and I obtain joy from deploying it.

We felt that the bomb killing skeletons was taking away the offensive capabilities of certain decks, so we decided to remove it

I think the card would be viable if they reduced its elixer cost to 5, and if that is still not enough, then maybe give him splash damage similar to the royal ghost.

Bro I used a giant skeleton and witch deck all the way to spooky town, idk how well it works up top but like i loved it. I altered it in the later arenas ut the original deck that got me to arena nine only had up to arena two cards

Its high death damage was what made it unique. That's why I don't like balance changes...

@@uneasewill1383 I know it was annoying to face but I'm personally not a fan of changing the core mechanics of a card. They could've nerfed its death damage by 8% and its attack by 10% if they wanted it to be less popular.
They could've nerfed its other stats to death but not just death damage - 58% that's too much!

I remeber useing this card a lot back in the day...
if you play it right you get the giant skeleton to the towers and use the bomb to do a lot of damage
(idk if there are beter cards for doing that right now or if he had a lot of debuffs but that is how I played a lot of the times)
The fact that they nerfed the giant skeleton's death damage, just killed the card.
I played giant skeleton my whole life and spent an AGE upgrading it and when I finally got it max level... it gets nerfed to the point that I can’t use it anymore😭
@@dyln84 I feel like everything supercell does is in favor of certain archetypes. As an example, tiebreaker was an indirect buff to cycle and bait, so now they want to do something about the defensive playstyle and what the hell did the genius say at Supercell? "We'll just kill one of the least commonly used cards in the game"
I believe it's all because if they nerfed anything else, it would piss off the community and they would receive a lot more criticism
My main deck is a Giant Skeleton one and I double clone it that way it pushes units toward the princess tower. It's a 13 elixir push but the bombs desintergrate any troops that are left in range.
Well when the giant skeleton locks on the king tower and you have that juicy clone and start spamming the laughing king while your opponent crys and you make the opponent delete the game it's very useful

Remember when the giant skeletons bomb used to be the most deadly thing in the match other than the rocket and a mega Knight?
Like I remember when my level 13 giant skeleton used to do almost 1,563 damage with its bomb now it does 580 and it's 1,563 damage was all around which means it did that the troops and towers now it does 1,256 to towers in 580 the troops and I used to use the giant skeleton as either a hey I'll distract you then I'll destroy you all with my bomb or I'll deploy you behind a bunch of small guys that could easily distract the Tower or the units in front so you can move forward and take out the tower
I had a lot of clutch matches with the giant skeleton and now it's just completely useless
