It fine. Its not like he flooded or was mana screwed. The ONE good thing about those decks is that its over quickly. Unlike mono blue who takes FOREVER to decide to counter something that they need to counter...
@@luisgutierrez8047 if they go first you litterally do not have time to use any interaction that can effect their board. remember, target removal is litterally to their benefit as it just kills you faster, so you are pretty much required to use board wipe to deal with the issue, and even then if they have slip out the back you've just wasted your turn which is usually the end. I love ivy, I've been rooting for her to be a deck in standard, but the rot preists litteral only counter is not drawing her
I'd love to see what kind of shenanigans you could get up to with anointed procession, parallel lives, and Mondy here. Maybe break the game due to the sheer quantity of tokens? You'd have to find a way to get around the limit though

@@NoFutureForG0uda Not that crazy, really. Often, what this deck wants is to resolve a Rabble Rousing with something that gets instant value. A Wedding Announcement just draws a card if you get it with a big "Go Wide" push. A Jetmir can make that push _explosive._

Jetmir seems like a Win-More card. It might close a game you were already winning (like in the Wedding Announcement game we saw), but it won't pull you back from the brink.
Would love to see a couple copies of awaken the woods or white sun's twilight as a back up mana sync for those treasure piles. white sun + king darien giving tokens indestructible is a combo I've been having a lot of fun with in my mondrak decks

I came back to add some card changes I felt like vastly improved my games. I took out 1 join the dance. I didn't find it as useful without mondrak out and a late game 4 1/1's was meh. With mondrak, did I really need 8? I was already winning on board. I took out 1 Adeline, I rarely drew it when I wanted, having double white on turn 3 wasn't the easiest either. Cut 1 Stimulus package. Like you mentioned in the video, two is redundant and feels bad if you have one out already or draw two in your opening hand. The 3 cards I added to really speed up the deck was 2 platoon dispensers and 1 nissa animist. The platoon can use mana to make a token, two with mondrak. It's another late game mana sink and the card draw is amazing! Plus a 4/6 inst easy for them to get past while you might be needing to rebuild or set up the board state. Two was the perfect number it also gives me something I feel is useful on the rousing. Getting the hide away on a 2 drop or so wasn't that exciting... Speaking of potentially exciting rousing hit, NISSA! Why spend many turns stimulus-ing with mondrak and greeter trying to build a nice state or flooding swing after swing of roused tokens, when you can nissa and make double big tokens! Also the minus isn't craterhoof sized, but the little boost can help and trample on those double big tokens she made!
Get rid of green and splash some black. Remove gala greeters, stim package and the briefcase. Get Devilish Valet and Kaya in there ASAP. You could also add a few Captain's Call and/or Burn down the House, these are great behind a rabble rousing if you've got a valet on the field but even as 4 and 5 drops they're incredible. 12 devils for 5 mana is insane, with or without a valet on the field. Having Mondrak without Kaya just feels wrong. Anyway, cool deck and great content as always.
Amazing deck man, I just change one copy of briefcase to portal to phyrexia just in case of the game get too far but I'm having a lot's of fun with this list👍
Spending them on lands is never a bad choice since you will need them at one point anyway unless you only play Standard and even then they are a high priority choice

I wonder if Symmetry Matrix could fit in a deck like this. So far I've yet to see anyone on YT or Twitch feature the card but last month I had a nice Matrix/Edgar/Clerics deck which did OK even without treasures or powerstones.
Out of curiosity, why is Jetmir's Garden the only triome from New Capenna without an animation? The other four triomes have animations, I'm fairly certain. Just wondered while watching this.
I've been playing on Explorer and have encountered Obliterator numerous times as an expected "automatic win" when actually it's really nothing special. Token decks like this are far more difficult to answer, especially if they have a quick start.
I wonder whether devilish valet would be useful here? 40 tokens are probably sufficient to win on their own, but 2^whatever trample haste would be a pretty spicy meatball.

Could this deck be made to work in Best of 3? Feels like you would just get wrecked by (additional) sweepers coming in from the sideboard, with Farewell being especially brutal.
Farewell is indeed very rough. The cool thing about Mondrak is that it can set up a lethal board in the opponent's end step alongside enough Treasures and Stimulus Package, so you can sometimes still win through a Depopulate at least.
@LegenVD yea I made one, but I'm not great at deck building. Land base is meh. Every colorless land and a dozen white for Seraph and the 2/2 prototype/ 4/5 vig. I have almost no interaction. I feel like a win ⅓ of the time. Love watching ppl with go for the throat or the new mite: "wait, it's all artifacts? And my mite can give colorless protection?!"

@@reidyo5404 depopulate doesnt necessarily gets rid of Mondrak, and this deck doesnt have too much trouble rebuilding if Mondrak sticks

Mondrak would not copy the Ob-Nixilis copy as it is a spell being copied, not a token being created

oh you clearly do, 3 anointed is very much high enough to easily crash and tie the game

I've often been curious, LVD, how do you spend your wildcards? It seems to me that using them on dual lands would be a top priority.
