Kolkata to Amritsar road trip | Lucknow to Agra expressway India's longest expressway | Hotel | toll

March 2024, road trip to Himachal Pradesh Dalhousie, we started our journey from Sonarpur South 24 pgs. we went to Lucknow by continuous drive for 22 hrs . hotel was Myriad hotel. we stayed only for 1 night. this time we came to Lucknow via Purvanchal expressway which is 340 km long, 6 lane wide.
from Lucknow we went to Agra, there we stayed for 2 nights.
Agra-Lucknow Expressway is a 302 Km long 6 Lane (Expandable to 08 lanes) Access Controlled (Greenfield) Expressway with 08-lane wide structures for future expansion of the expressway to 08 lanes. The expressway starts at Agra inner ring road, passes through Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Hardoi, Unnao dist. and ends on SH-40 in Lucknow. It has facilitated a high-speed corridor, connecting state capital Lucknow to Agra in western Uttar Pradesh and further to the National Capital, New Delhi through Yamuna Expressway. The travel time between Agra and Lucknow has reduced, the reduction in travel time has resulted in substantial saving in the consumption of fuel and a reduction in carbon footprint.
we went for sightseeing of Tajmahal, Agra fort, mehtab bagh and lots of other sights.
from Agra we went to Amritsar which was 11hrs long journey. in Amritsar we stayed for 3 nights, there we went to see Golden temple, jalianwala bag, markets and the most exciting Wagah border parade.
from Amritsar we came to Dalhousie Himachal Pradesh.
We visited Dalhousie Khajiar and markets.
now it's time to get back to home.
