Fun fact, as a cashier. When buying fruits and veggies, be careful. WIC will pay for half a bag apples or grapes or such not realizing you physically can't remove the other half. It leaves the customer in a tough spot if they don't have the money to pay for the other half. WIC needs to set itself up so the cards will either pay for the entire bag of apples, for example, or none at all. That would leave the customer with the option to go back into the store to pick up something cheaper or in a smaller quantity so it fits what's left on the WIC balance.
I work for a living and don't buy half the stuff they buy and I can only get enough to cover bottom of cart!! you can tell a wic from someone living on a budget, wic have two over flowing carts!!
@@chadbailey189 Wic is for pregnant or women who recently had babies. It’s not a state welfare program. You might qualify for state welfare food assistance if your income is low.
@@chadbailey189 Why hate on mothers who use wic? Just because youve had some bad experiences no need to discriminate against all. They are doing good by going and getting extra help to help breastfeed their babys or to help feed their children. The assistance IS out there...if you are broke enough you can get it..dont hate...they are jist tryi g to get by like anyone else. And it sounds like u are talking about foodstamps, not wic. WIC only lets you get specific items...that are certain sizes. We should all try and be professional and cordial when in public shopping and you at your nob vettinv paid. Stop judging these mothers. I am one too.
@@chadbailey189 I would say those with high EBT has overflowing carts, WIC when it all adds up is about $150- $200 worth of groceries per month. Which of course, is also great for those who have low income. But you have to have kids and it ends once they turn 5, I believe.

it is a lil difficult sometimes..i was really hoping to be able to get a more healthy bread ..but only the less healthy stuff was approved. I wish maseca. Ypu can make alot of corn tortillas..with alot of minerals with that. But Im thankful we have something like this when we need help feeding ourselves and our family.
