It's a creole between English and Tahitian. Like Pitcairn, they are definitely a "culture"

Yes they are. Have you ever heard of mutiny on the bounty. Thats this island. Norfolk island. They are tahitians woman who were married, in relationships with white settlement before white settlement found Norfolk island and settled there. But girls were also taken away on ships to Norfolk Island. But they are half maori like tahitians are Maori/French. And Tahiti is in French Polynesia pacific ocean. The creole comes from French. They have influence in Africa too, but also, this is where white settlement settled in Africa and England and Europe, spain, portugal, etc. before coming to Pacific ocean and settling. No disrespect to Norfolk island but I have respect for their culture. They sing in a English, koori native aboriginal of Australia language along with the creole.

@@Trey_Stylez-jg6sw yes I know the history well. They were the descendants of the Bounty and Tahitians and arrived from Pitcairn in 1856 when it became overcrowded.

We had a nice conversation with a Norfolk resident at FestPac..what an interesting story of their culture and how they came to be….they can all trace their bloodline back to members of the Bounty and a result of intermarriage of Polynesian women with mutineers…
