Here are all six Epica members for you, the first 3 are origina, the other 3 joined over time, but the lineup hasn't changed since 2012
Simone Simons - lead soprano
Mark Jansen (band founder) - rhythm guitar, growls
Coen Janssen (co-founder) - keyboards, piano, also responsible for orchestral and choir arrangements
Isaac Delahaye - lead guitar, sometimes additional growls in live performances
Rob van der Loo - bass
Arien van Weesenbeek - drums
People only talked about Mark, but this song was mainly written by drummer Arien. In Epica it's not all about one man, other members write music too. It's just that Mark is the mastermind, but some songs are mainly written by drummer, some by bassist, etc., with some additional contributions from the rest of the band. Lyrics are only written by Mark and/or Simone.
And Rob certainly contributed with some great tracks.

Epica - Victims of contingency (Omega Alive)
Mark (guitar /harsh vocals) does play Ibanez, he wrote the lyrics for this, music by Arien (drums).
You've see Sir Joost van den Broek, he is the guy playing the keys and piano in the Ayreon videos you've seen, he's produced the last 3 EPICA albums, this album "The Quantum Enigma" being the first of those.
Another from this album is "Unchain Utopia", check out the version from the 2021 Omega Alive virtual concert.
Also you have seen Sharon Den Adel in her band Within Temptation.
Needless to say what a great band Epica is. About Joost van den Broeck , he is producer ,composer ,arranger and mixer for many metal bands ,like Epica ,Powerwolf ,Blind Guardian and many more .He was a member of After Forever ,the band Floor Jansen sang in . He is the right hand of Arjen Lucassen (CO producer of Ayreon concerts ) and you will have seen him there too . He is the guy on the keyboards .

Isaac, the guitarist on the right, used to play an Ibanez Darkstone with a headstock which is not generally associated with Ibanez guitars. He still used it in some music videos in 2016, but then he fully switched to using two 7-string Les Pauls for all of his performances. You have mostly reacted to Epica´s longer tracks so far.
I have a Darkstone (6 string), it's surprisingly different to most other Ibanez guitars, the neck is very Gibson like, it has the Gibson scale length 24 3/4 inches and a relatively slim C shape neck, completely different to the wide shallow neck that you would find on most Ibanez guitars, I love it 🙃

Both guitar players are playing 7 string, Mark his Ibanez and Isaac his 7 string Gibson Les Paul (yes there was a very limited run of them)
Isaac plays a Black GIBSON Les Paul 7 string guitar. His other one is also Gibson Les Paul 7string guitar (His main guitar)
Mark Jansen plays an IBANEZ RGA7 and S7.
Rob Van Der Loo plays a lot of different Basguitars: Dingwall D-Roc Hellboy; Conklin 7string; conklin Rob van der Loo 9string;Warwick custom 6string fretless; Grand Stick (Purpleheart); Lindert guitar-bass; MusicMan Bongo 5string
