#Destiny2 #Journey #Reaction - Hudba
Dude I'm so thrilled you enjoyed my request. So many emotions when I listen to this. It goes so well when your in the middle of a gunfight . I love this game and it's soundtrack.
Thank you for making this happen Jake!
@@AtlasBenighted Very welcome !
@@jakepat8603 leaving the last city with this track is simply amazing
I would love to see him react to destiny regicide
The thing I love about this song is how it played during the First mission when you leave the last city lightless, and also plays when returning to the city, bound with light
I'd love to see Deep Stone Lullaby from the Beyond Light raid one day.
I actually sent him this lol I can ask him to react to it. It's quite short but I sent him a gameplay vid with it in the background. If you want to see him react to it I can ask!
@@jakepat8603 you should I suggested it to him the other day on another vid too. It is such a good song
What about the riven boss fight soundtrack? That is probably one of my favorite
@@warrior1563 oh shit Rivens music is tight I forgot about that
@@jakepat8603 Also some recommendations from destiny 2: "Watchtower"(forsaken campaign final boss theme/Last wish Vault third phase theme), "The Hunted"(Leviathan, pleasure gardens theme), "Forge Ahead" (the tunnel on the allmighty), "Shell of What Was" (Riven's heart/shuro chi/warden of nothing bossfight), "Queen's Oracle" (battle on your first arrival in the dreaming city).
Not necessairily the motif of the game as it is NOW, but when this debuted, the story was about loss, sadness and new beginnings.
This "journey" track plays while you, the player, walks alone among debris of a fallen city, your city.
While you jurney through places that have been ravaged by war, countless bodies of allies and civillians alike; no burial.
Having lost comrades you had since the very beginning of the first game, now you must find a new resolve to take all you lost back: your city, your friends, your powers, and even..
yourself.
at 6:45, the real leitmotif of the game plays. Its YOUR leitmotif, you are a guardian. And the song reminds you of that.
Even though powers have been lost, you are still a guardian. It is your duty, it's who you ARE.
We are guardians.
Journey is a awesome track, indeed.
I love how the upbeat part also plays when you storm the Last City to retake it while fighting through the ruins. It's such an amazing part of that experience.
didn't it also play at the end of the campaign when you re-entered the city and fought your way through it?
@@MrHandss yep
Adieu was my favorite story mission in the whole Red War campaign, the song fits the atmosphere beautifully
@@jadecervidae mine was the almighy mission
Didn't expect Destiny but a great surprise. Love the new Beyond Light also. It also have some interesting tracks.
ATLAS, I'll say only 1 thing from the community. The night, and the dream, were long...
Is anybody else completely stoked that OUR Guardian has had their own theme from day one of Destiny 2?
D1 too tho?
We proved that we were powerful in Destiny 1. In Destiny 2 we woke up half dead and lightless in the ruins of the last city our first failure, but we didn't roll over and die. We found our ghost and hobbled out of the city. When everyone else had given up on the light returning we still had to try. Our faith was rewarded when the light found us again through the Shard. We found the Vanguard and brought them back and we helped them launch a resistance from the farm. We proved that we were a Guardian that day, because it's not about us, it's not about the light or darkness. It's about defending the people of Earth. It didn't matter that that we had already done our best yesterday we had to keep on doing our best the next day and the next day. That is what it means to be of service and that is what it means to be a hero.
Destiny 2 is one of my all time favorite games and im so glad you decided to react to Journey! Thanks Atlas.
Thanks for watching!
Destiny's soundtrack is amazing
I hate the game. Iâve played it too much, and gave too many chances to bungie, but their soundtracks are still amazing. I can still enjoy that part.
@@ronaldraygun9093 the track they said in the recent twabs sound extremely good on paper tho. Beyond light felt dry after the actual campaign but this season so far is pretty good
Bungie has been putting a lot of effort into the game lately, constant updates, fixes, the presage mission etc
Its okay. Lil baby is way better lmaooo
@@ronaldraygun9093 same
The Destiny series has some of my favorite musical pieces (next to the FromSoftware games). My personal favorites are...
- The hunted (Destiny 2)
- The man they called cayde (Destiny 2: Forsaken)
- Watchtower (Destiny 2: Forsaken)
- Eyes up (Destiny: Rise of Iron)
- Gunslinger (Destiny: Forsaken)
- Rise of Iron (Destiny: Rise of Iron)
-Sepiks Redux (Destiny:Rise of Iron)
-Regicide (Destiny: The taken King)
-Queen's Oracle (Destiny 2: Forsaken)
-Forge Ahead (Destiny 2)
Young wolf
The union
Bow to no one
3 of my faves đ
One of my Fav is "Cabal Stomp" from D1
Also Queen's Oracle and Shadow of the Walker
great list... I would add the Sepiks prime fight from rise of iron... I loved the soundtrack in that battle
I love how this composition allows every section to shine on their own be it strings, choir, brass or percussion, just like every Guardian in Destiny has their own moment of triumph.
As a musician and Destiny 2 player I cannot agree enough!
Certainly the in-studio version has more impact, the one you hear on the game. But this one has the human factor and much more powerful vocal performance. Guess its hard to choose.
This is literally the only time Iâve argued a cover* of a song being more ... poignant? I guess thatâs the right word (mainly in the vocal parts though) where Iâve come away thinking it was more impactful lol. Iâm not arguing FYI, at the time I encountered this song / D2/ my mental state? The version we played had me bawling lol.
Destiny has some of the best music in gaming in my honest opinion. From "Shell Of What Was" from Last Wish to "Deep Stone Lullaby" from DSC and "Bloodline", "Temptation" and "Sanctified Mind" all three from Shadowkeep. Not to mention the Kings and Creatures' songs that Bungie utilizes PERFECTLY for some of the more recent trailers. I could go on for days â€đ€đđ¶
âShell of What Wasâ is from Warden of Nothing. There are just variations of it in the Shuro Chi and Queenswalk encounters. âShell of What Wasâ is my favorite soundtrack in Destiny 2.
Temptation is so underrated at least before you spend 6 hours on consecrated mind haha
Awww man. You have GOT to hear the PROPHECY DUNGEON SUITE from Destiny 2. Some of the most incredibly thoughtful and atmospheric music I've heard in a video game.
This plays after the the first mission of the original campaign. You and your fellow guardians have lost the Last city of earth. The second half with the vocals plays when you come back to reclaim the city. Always gives me chills. First half says "be brave" the second says "become legend"
*Even more angry Gael and Pontiff noises :)*
đ
@@AtlasBenighted a lot of people wana see Gael and me just for Pontiff, but how about some meme things... Vordt of Boreal Valley?
@@TheOneWhoBugsyo pontiff is awesome
@@TheOneWhoBugs To be completely honest, pontiff is not on par with Gael's track imo. Pontiff is great, don't get me wrong. But i think Gael's would make for a more interesting review
You should react to "Deep Stone Lullaby" as well.
I have been waiting for this! If you liked it, I also recommend âDeep stone Lullabyâ , âEyes upâ, âThe Last Arrayâ and âThe Huntedâ. Also, Deep stone Lullaby is a very recent song and therefore pretty relevant and beloved in the Destiny community right now!
Queens Oracle too dude

My first time hearing this song was actually from Game Music Collective playing it live, it was at a video game music festival where different bands played songs from all kinds of games. Immediately added the song to a playlist after the concert.
It touches me how much talent we have in the gaming industry.
Oh man, he played D2 when it went free to play? Which means he never experienced the heart break of this song at the start of the Red War campaign.
Damned Ghaul and his short-sighted viewing.
luckily so that the [Traveler] was Testing instead of Literate....though still with a Cost.
There was about a year where you could play the free version and do the Red War Campaign. It only went away with beyond light
@@DWEGOON So you could. I guess I must of gotten confused since it was when D2 went ftp they changed over to the "New Light" intro for new players instead of starting them in the Red War Campaign.
This is the one thing Bungie has never failed to deliver, a phenomenal soundtrack. Every track is perfect for it's use, and they've never missed the mark.
I did not expect you to react to destiny 2 music. Great video.
Thanks mate!
This song makes me cry a bit just remembering the good ol days of destiny when it was good i miss them
Man as somone who's played and is still playing. Destiny truly has always been the same.
Dont know why, but i cried at this, as a destiny player myself, this really brouggt something out of me, the music in destiny, well, any bungie game for that matter always had great music
I still remember hearing this in game, it fit so well the beginning having lost your light and having to survive with the fear of death for the first time
Journey* literally brought tears to my eyes. Itâs extremely powerful. Michael Salvatore (As Iâve said before) must have absolutely jacked shoulders from carrying the games emotions / feels lol.
The original theme for Destiny 1 titled âGuardianâ will forever be my all time favorite arrangement from the game. I have a soft spot for strong lower brass, and this certainly has it with the best touches of soft strings as an accent.
THE ALGORITHYM HAS BLESSED ME, THANK YOU BRO THIS COMBINES MY LITERAL 2 LOVES IN LIFE!!
Awesome đ
Yess this is one of my favorite songs in Destiny 2. Though you need to do Dark Souls 3 Champion's Gravetender and Greatwolf please. That and Slave Knight Gael. Love them both
I'm really excited for him to react to Slave Knight Gael
I'm quite burned out of this game for now, still, hearing Journey makes me remember that core moment for all of us, guardians who were exiled from our home, with our light stolen, watching The Traveler being surronded by cabal ships as the city was burning.
"Guardian, if you die i can't resurrect you"
Don't surrender. Destiny is a great game. Sometimes Bungie made mistakes, as everyone does, but you have to accept it, not everything can be perfect. Get back to fight guardian, for the Last City, for the Traveler, for the Vanguard
Itâs gotten much better but pvp is still shit
I think I speak for the whole Destiny 2 community when I say that a reaction to Deep Stone Lullaby would be a great video. Itâs a truly magical song, and journey was as well. Loved this video
I want this piece to begin to play as we approach the last fight in the story. Using every last bit of power we can muster as the key changes. Growing, and the vocals coming in as we begin to fight with pure light as it rises to the highest point. That is how they can end the story of destiny and leave no one with a doubt the journey wasn't worth it.
I remember hearing this song in the game for the first time slowly trekking through the mountains after having lost almost everything besides my life and this song gave me the hope to keep moving forward and stride towards regaining everything back that was lost. I love this song, I listen to it all the time still and I get goosebumps every time. I'm glad you enjoyed it too!
this game has a really good soundtrack, you gotta listen to the hunted (Destiny 2 ost number 26) from the leviathan raid
Ooooooh rip the leviathan raid:/
Bungie always had absolutely top notch music. Started way back in Halo CE and there was not a single game/expansion that disappointed (talking about music).
Also when he said itÂŽs flawless.. You my dear Guardians know why I giggled.
Too bad they removed the opening mission this song played in, but it was and still is the most emotional piece of music I've heard to date. Especially when you consider the buildup in-game and what's going on around you.
The music in Destiny has always been top tier, it adds to the story unlike any game I've played before. There's a leitmotif(a darkmotif if you will hehe) going around the game right now, and the truth behind those four simple notes can be truly frightening.
Love this song. Sounds hopeless at first, but as it goes on there sounds like there's a chance for things to get better. Just gotta keep going.
At least that's what it sounds like to me.
Mhm certainly it feels like this in the first mission
When those drums and vocals come in goddamn
Never got to appreciate the soundtrack till now, That was amazing. Thanks for showcasing this
Thank you for watching đȘđ»
Destinyâs music has always been super underrated
even though i have a lot of criticism about this game this soundtrack combine with the fall of the city was pretty goosebumpy
Danm if i had money to pay patreon id pester you on that to make a gehrman review
Agreed
Gehrmans track is probably one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard and actually brought tears to my eyes especially if you played through that game and was very invested
Great suggestion. The First Hunter really translates the story of the Good Hunter killing Gehrman as a tragedy, not a victory. The strings are beautiful in that song, and the melody itself just has such a marvelously somber and dark tone. I never wanted that boss fight to end, watching the white lillies sway and quiver in the wind and wake of two hunters duelling, and the way the flowerheads fly as Gehrman swings the burial blade.
@@Duplicitousthoughtformentity couldent have said it beter
I love how the track actually sends you on a Journey while it plays exactly like the game does with our Guardian. You experience loss, despair, death. But you keep on going. You follow the bird. You don't know where that bird will lead you, but you just have to keep going. Then the heavy instruments kick in, reminding you that there are still things worth fighting for. This becomes stronger and stronger until near the end, you've regained your Light so to speak and so, the fight to reclaim what is lost begins.
Destiny truly has some of the most beautiful soundtracks, thank you so much for this breakdown. Also, I'm sure you would enjoy "Deep Stone Lullaby", "Look Within", "Young Wolf" and "Last Stand".
would love it to see Regicide, Deep Stone Lullaby or beyond light from the destiny franchise all amazing tracks
look within is great too
destiny has such good music
The thing about this song is that to feel the true effect you need to see the part it plays at in the original destiny 2 campaign
Love hearing the Kronos Quartet in general. In my favorite game it makes it even better.
Destiny has an amazing soundtrack, but we all know deep stone lullaby is the best
Hello ! I came today too. Destiny is a great game with a great ost. I'm happy to see you again. (Pssst. Listen here. "messenger -piano-" from "steins;gate 0"). I look forward to your next videos !
Thanks mate!
Nice reaction man!
i already know I am going to be crying
Destiny 2 has such an awesome OST and it's a shame it doesn't get more praise. If you are looking for another Destiny 2 soundtrack that is awesome, check out Watchtower from the Destiny 2 Forsaken OST :) P.S. thanks for all the awesome review content!
Thank you for watching mate!
I was so mad when my power went out while I was playing the mission.
Lore-wise: the Temporal 'loss' of the [Light] connection through 'us' Guardian-players & 'our' Ghosts (varying from instant destroyed....or still functional like Ghost, Sundance, etc), the Temporal loss of 'our' & Humanity's Last safe Sanctuary, another reminder of the Collapse through that 'Red War'....many more.
Indeed. What wasn't Frustrated about? [lowers face remembering that terrible Cheat]
on the bright side now the [Traveler] and us, allies under are still Standing.
Try taking a listen to The Unsung War - Ace Combat 5. Itâs really good, and something you wouldnât expect from an arcade like game.
One of the finest ones.
1st video watched by you, impressed!
Thank you đ
Ik im late to this but when i first played D2 i instantly fell in love with this masterpiece.I still get tears till this day listening to it while remembering all the great times i had playing the Destiny franchise, making new friends, having a blast hoping on after school and having a blast with them. I even want to get a ghost tattoo and eventually tell my children how meaningful and impactful Destiny has been throughout my childhood and how the Destines got me to where I am today. I've been in a dark place in my life early on but destiny and videogames as a whole got me through my dark times and made me a better person.
Absolutely love this song
Destiny has some of the best music in gaming, if not the best.
If you are going to check out some Destiny music you really should listen to The Vault Third Phase Theme from The Last Wish raid or Destiny Rise of Iron - Eyes Up (Raid Version / Aksis 2nd Phase). Additionally I would recommend for anyone to listen to Music of the Spheres which is from the original composer for Destiny Martin O'Donnell and is truly amazing.
Hey Atlas, I was curious as to where you are from, other than the void. You have an interesting accent that I adore lol. Also this is my favorite track out of my favorite game. Nice breakdown!
Thank you so much đ
If you reacted with the gameplay footage it will touch you even more this song, that moment in the game is one of the most touching i have ever got in a game
Goosebumps every single time I hear the Journey
Finalmente.
This performance will never fail to make me cry from the amount of emotion it makes me feel. The first half is just somber sadness of realizing the impossible has just happened, reluctantly retreating through the ruined City streets and debris while injured and walking for days to get to safety all while being hunted down like the many corpses you find. After the main motif it becomes more of the inspiring version used while Guardians, most now mere mortals, band together and risk it all to take the City back for all those who were lost⊠Couldnât have done it without you Cayde-6, RIP
Edit: I also wanted to add that the slow implementation of more instruments to me reflects how our character feels throughout the Red War (the conflict that this song builds off of). The chello to me represents our own character, alone and not giving up, always the center of focus. Every instrument thatâs added could represent the allies to gather for the eventual eruption of fury at the end. Such a shame this story was vaulted, honestly one of the most emotional campaigns Iâve played in any game despite its rough edges
Please do a breakdown of Deep Stone Lullaby, possibly my favorite Destiny 2 song of all time
I LOVE game music, and Destinyâs music, more than any other, has made me cry with its beauty.
(Before finishing the video) Just a Destiny fan enjoying this video, after finishing the video, masterful all around, masterful video, masterful music piece

Deep Stone Lullaby from the Destiny 2 Beyond Light soundtrack is a masterpiece
It would be awesome seeing the reaction to "proof of a hero " from monster hunter world

I would LOVE to see more reactions from Destiny 2! Like the music from Shadowkeep or Forsaken.
this is just the beginning. ur gonna have to listen to GUNSLINGER (destiny 2). trust me, you'll LOVE IT
Imma be real for a few seconds while i type this so bear with me.
Destiny 2's original campaign, The Red War, was about the loss of your powers (The Light) and how we as a people came back from being mortal to being (in a way) immortal. The Light is a gift by The Traveler, and when we lost that gift, thanks to Ghaul and the Red Legion, it showed how reliant we were on our gift and showed how weak our Guardians became. Journey is how we, as Guardians, evolve over the course of the story, fighting back against the forces of The Darkness: The Fallen Eliksni , The Hive, The Red Legion, and finally, upon rallying enough Guardians (both lightless and reforged Light-Bearers), we were able to fight back the legion, retake our city from them, and reawaken The Traveler.
Why do i tell you all this? This music shows that same evolution from "hopeless" to "determination" and finally to "destined" and this final sense of Unity under our Light and The Traveler. That is what i see when i listen back to Journey on my relisten to the Destiny OST.
Please listen to the main "beyond light" motif. its just a pure eargasm. Destiny has some of the best music in the industry
Oh, let's try to make a request then. I love most of the Bloodborne OST (you are still missing Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower) but in this case i would like to hear a specific song from Nier Replicant/Gestalt OST: Shadowlord! Keep up the good job, i really enjoy these videos
From Destiny 2 one of my fav is the dominus ghaul theme
You should react to Attack on Titan soundtrack, it's amazing.
so many to react from destiny 2, the forseken ost is the one i like the most: keep of voices, watchtower, the dreaming city, mists of memory, gambit...
As a Guardian it is our job to fight and rage against the dying of the Light. It used to be the burning beacon of our civilization, but only a small spark still remains....and a storm is coming. The Story of Destiny is one of hope and the loss of that hope.
We will not survive.
deep stone lullaby from beyond light is so good too
