I appreciate you taking care of your kids hair because some non-black mothers do not take care of their kids hair/dont know how and choose to not learn either.

Your daughters curls look beautiful ,but the Pantene curl perfection has sulfates and silicones which they're bad for their hair. Although kinky curly is bomb.
Thank you! Yea i love the kinky curly leave in for her hair. And i do love the Pantene products, I’ve been wanting to test out other shampoos for her hair but I haven’t found any I like yet that works well with her hair. Any suggestions are welcome 😊
The Cantu Kids line shampoo and conditioner works great on my nieces hair and she has very similar hair to your daughters

That is so beautiful how your daughter's hair has those big gorgeous shirley temple curls when her hair has dried after you put the product in and before you seperate them. The end result was beautiful too!

Use deva curl it’s gentle curly hair! Shampoo is called no-poo so it looks like conditioner but it is shampoo

Your daughter's curls look just like my 3 year old daughter's curls (I also have a 5 year old but hers is almost stick straight). And for the most part, our routine is the same. I only wash her hair with shampoo once/week, otherwise we condition with Paul Mitchell's The Detangler conditioner three times/week, which we love, and I let it sit for about 5 minutes, then rinse. Once she's out of the bath we use Honest conditioning detangler sweet orange vanilla, to comb through and style, which works well but the curls can still get pretty soft and frizzy by the end of the day depending on her activity level. As you can see we don't use much product but I wouldn't mind something that would keep the curls defined through out the day, without making it feel like I put honey in her hair. I'm sensitive to smells and argan oil is one so that's out other wise I would try what you do. I tried Caroline's daughter black vanilla leave in spray conditioner today but it made my daughters hair feel greasy thick, and crunchy, like it hadn't been washed in weeks (it smelled nice though if you like vanilla and I liked it in my hair but mine is much more coarse and thicker than my daughter's). Any other moisturizing leave in conditioner suggestions that would not leave her hair feeling heavy and greasy?
The best thing I’ve found is the kinky curly leave in that I still use to this day, everyday. And I also like the Jessie’s pillow soft curls gel after using the leave in. I hate greasy hair products too and for her hair greasy or heavy products aren’t what work. But those are the main things I use everyday for her.

Gorgeous curls! It's best to use silicone and sulfate free products for curly hair. I recommend the brand: cantu Shea butter for natural hair shampoo and treatment masque (you sound American and cantu is affordable over there and works really well). Also, do protein treatments every 4-6 weeks, I recommend Shea moisture Jamaican black castor oil treatment masque as a protein treatment.

Amazing curls to make it better use sulfate, paraben, and silicone free shampoo and conditioner. Also deep condition her hair once a week. Love her curls they are amazing. Use The Shea Moisture line. I use that and my curls come out amazing

Lol well thank you, I mean, I know black parents that don’t know how to care for their kids hair. It really just depends on the person. And yea, I’ve experimented with both and have yet to find one I really like for my daughter’s hair.
just follwed the tutorial but using the shea moisture products lets see how it turns out
My daughter is mixed & has similiar hair. Shea moisture & cantu does not work for her hair. I use maui moisture. Try that! I just discovered it recently & its amazing!

Hi! How do you put her hair when she sleeps? My daughter has similar hair and it’s so matted in the back when she wakes up. I always have to soak it and comb in products for it to look great again. I’m trying low maintenance for the morning. Thanks in advance!
I’m 12 years old and I want my hair like this lol, this is quite possibly my regular texture for my hair but it’s always brushed out. I asked my mom to do it but it takes soooo long to dry and I have a whole bunch of hair and plus, I’m black so my hair is SUPER thick too. I’m gonna send this to my mom, thanks!

My son has the same hair. I use Cantu for Natural Hair Sulfate free shampoo followed by the Creamy conditioning lotion. I think to avoid so many tangles you should detangle her hair everyday with that water solution. And yes avoid sulfates and silicones. Sulfates cause tangles. Also check the oils cuz sometimes manufacturers combine oils with silicones but say it is pure. Always have to read the bottle. 😊
I’ve tried the Cantu shampoo and conditioner but her hair always feels really dry afterwards. I don’t feel like that conditioner works well with her hair. My favorite right now is the Shea moisture manuka honey hair mask. It works so good

Yes! I’ve been using the Pantene Gold series co wash on the days I don’t use shampoo. I’ve changed the shampoo and conditioner I use on her hair since this video so look out for an updated hair routine! ❤️
Am I the only one that cringed when she used the Pantene products 😭 The extra moisture you feel in the conditioner is the silicones which do not provide moisture, they cause product buildup.
Rebeca Ortiz silicones aren’t bad and are water soluble which means they rinse out.
If she use normaal shampoo she gets ride of buildup every time she washes her hair.
v Framlii yes she could, but that would only dry her hair even more. It’s better just to ditch the silicones since you won’t need a harsher shampoo to get rid of it.
B. KCee no need to be aggressive. And no, my hair is not too fragile 😂 it’s just common knowledge. Curly hair, including the little girl’s, needs that moisture. When you strip your hair from it, it’ll get frizzier and prone to breakage. But go off, if you wanna be an advocate for dry hair, be my guest
B. KCee let me clear something up. My hair has zero damage, never dyed or straightened it. What I’m trying to tell you is that looks can be deceiving. Silicones make your hair look “healthy”, yet it can be damaged. You really shouldn’t trust something because ‘it looks nice’. You might not see it now, but later on, when her curl pattern develops even more, you’ll see the aftermath.
Use coconut curls that's the best I recommend it
