I respect your dad's decission to have cheesecake for their wedding. Not just because it's not "traditional" but also because people tend to think of weddings as being for the bride when it should be for both sides of the couple.
I had spice cake (we wed on the autumnal equinox) and my husband had German chocolate cake.
It's because traditionally, it's the brides family that pays for it... even though the man is asked to be married to. Very weird culture things that I hate. I can't stand weddings of any kids. What are they celebrating? You should celebrate thar big after you have been with your hubby or wife you at least 10years.
Initially, I liked how you kept saying it “it has peppermint vibes, right?”. Here I am sitting at home getting DEXTER vibes.🤣But, in the end, I loved this sweet cheesecake soap!

For our wedding, we had a black forest cake and a cheesecake, when everyone else was doing the tiered wedding cakes, covered in fondant or flowers. lol.
Fondant cakes usually taste not as good

So, for all my thoughts about wanting a smaller amount of frosting… THIS soap is beautiful! Looks PERFECT.🥰
I think I would have liked the pink and creme colour to be in a pot swirl, and then that red color as a single layer on top, so it kinda resembles strawberry syrup, but I like the soap like this way too :D
I would have preferred the reds to be a drop swirl to look like sauce dripping down the sides of the cheesecake
I would have thought the middle was going to be completely creme, because New York cheesecake is so simple, both in look and flavor
Definitely agree, the red throughout the entire thing and in the piped top just feels like a bit too much. I'm sure a cheesecake the looks like that would be delicious, but when I imagine berry cheesecake it's mostly plain cheesecake with just a little bit of berry swirl or even just berry drizzle on top of plain.
@@leahgroess5361 yesss completely agree, I feel like the 321 dollop definitely made it look more like a cake rather than a cheesecake, I feel like one single red-white dollop in the middle would have been more suitable or just an artisan soap. The red throughout the whole bar makes me feel like it's a drink like a milkshake or something. But I still like the look of the bar, it's just not what I picture of a cheesecake.

Honestly, you can hand me pretty much any cheesecake and I'll be satisfied. The only time I'll say no is coffee, coconut, or key lime.
The Cheesecake Factory is delicious! I love it's cheesecake, though it's been awhile. It's entrées are also really good. My favorite item is the mac and cheese burger.
I had to click. I work in a small cheesecake shop so I'll probably be buying this soap even before seeing the end result!! Easily, my favorite cheesecake is our Mango Cheesecake. It's so creamy and good

At my wedding I had a chocolate tier “bride’s” cake and my husband had a vanilla “groom’s” cake.

The cake you mentioned your mom makes is called Black Forest Cake and it is absolutely delicious! I LOVE chocolate, so my favorite kind of cheesecake is one that also has chocolate in it.

You will never believe this. My parents anniversary is August 24th too! They got married at the courthouse being young and not having a lot of money. After their vows my Dad told my Mom, "Happy Birthday!" My Mom smiled and it said, "it's tomorrow." Lol, so funny, I had to share. My Dad and your Dad sound very similar too. A groom's cake is definitely not in every wedding. In fact, I don't remember ever seeing one in real life... probably the only reason I know them is Cake Wrecks!

I think it depends on the area. I worked in a pro pastry shop in ATL and we made grooms cakes all the time. They did really love picking chocolate for them, but we got requests for lots of different flavor fillings like PB or hazelnut etc.

LOVE this soap. To answer your question, I’d never get a NY style cheesecake slice from the Cheesecake Factory. If I’m getting a slice there, it’ll be one of their “specialty” flavors. Being from the NY area, I can confirm that a NY style cheesecake from a smaller bakery is always the way to go. (However my Grandma’s will forever hold the #1 spot for best cheesecake ever!)
I've found even their specialties to be kind of bland / to have the flavors just blend together. Really everything there is super meh from my experience.

I've never actually bought a cheesecake, it's always been either my mum or my friends' mum making them. Cheesecake is *really* easy to make, what takes the most time is literally waiting for it to cool in the fridge lmao
Beautiful soap as usual. To cut down on the soap sweating I use one of those moisture eliminators...one brand is called Damp Rid. It’s a container of flakes that absorb moisture in the air and dissolve into water at the bottom of the container. I put it on the shelf where my soap cures. It doesn’t stop it completely, but it helps.
I was going to guess a mica drizzle. So close lol. I love cheesecake. Strawberry and chocolate are my favorites but honestly I’ll eat almost any kind 😋

Honestly, I don’t know how you do it. I’ve try for 2 years, making my own products, producing adds, everything. I’ve only got maybe 8 order within these 2 years. I’m a complete failure, but it makes me so happy to see that other can succeed, these videos are so satisfying and makes me want to keep trying.

As soon as you finished the frosting I was like dang that needs a drizzle and it'll be good enough to eat. Expected a mica drizzle but this is a happy compromise.

Obviously I watch every new video in full, but does anyone else listen to her while you sleep...? I hope I'm not the only one. I promise I have a reason; I suffer from a lot of mental illnesses and trauma, and because of that I have a fear of being alone or in silence, so I watch videos with talking to help me fall asleep, which has recently included Katie, lol. Pleaaaase tell me I'm not the only one! She's like the energetic bob ross of soap.
9:31 min. in, my guess: You're going to drizzle some red glitter in oil, over the top, using a pipet, maybe(?) so it look like the sugary syrup that's normally on fruity cheesecake. I personally think that'd look SO great! OR you might sprinkle some holographic glitter (Your new favorite thing), onto the top. OP, nope, you're not doing glitter. Question of the day: I prefer all kinds of cheese cake... I'd eat themm ALLLLLlllll. OH yeah, yes, yum. They all look scrumptious! (Side story about Cheese Cake Factory, I took my kids there for a surprise meal, when I was making some good money. I wasn't home much, so being able to surprise them, and take them there meant the world to me. We LOVED the desserts! The cake my son ordered was amazing & huge! Thx for the video Katie! It’s super cute but kind of weird that there is cherry on top when it’s strawberry cheesecake, I was looking forward to strawberries on top.
My favorite New York style cheesecake is made by my sister-in-law. She actually sells them to restaurants and coffee shops to be resold by the slice, and they are amazing!
But my FAVORITE cheesecake is the one my Aunt Eva used to make when I was a kid. It wasn't baked, it was whipped and refrigerated instead. It was like eating a cheesecake flavored cloud. It had a slightly lemony taste, probably because one of the main ingredients (besides cream cheese) was lemon Jello. I was SO upset when the recipe was lost when we moved.

I had a ceramic shop, I'm a ceramic teacher, I have all the instructions without leaving anything out. I figured, if I don't teach all the instructions, when I'm gone people keep doing it wrong. The inside makes me think of a strawberry swirled ice cream! I like cheesecake with a chocolate crust and drizzle. But between plain or fruit drizzle, blueberry drizzle for me.
I don’t know about other people but the cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory is sinfully good! The lemon meringue one or the Reece’s one makes my mouth water every time!

If ANYONE ever goes to Ireland- get the cheesecake. Just do it. They use like 6 sticks of butter in one cheesecake. It’s fantastic. My teacher went and she made and remade it about 35 times until she got it right and oh sweet baby Jesus when she brought it in for us we all cried tears of bliss.
When you were pouring the soap it reminded me so strongly of the strawberry shortcake pops. It’s the exact same shade of red. Made me want one so bad! They’re so good, they’re one of my favorite frozen treats.

Up in Pittsburgh, there's a wedding tradition of a cookie table. Just dozens and dozens of homemade cookies made by the family (and whoever else wants to help) and everyone gets to take home containers of cookies after.

I've ever had a cheesecake before, it's not a common thing in my country.
It’s more like a cream cheese custard tart. Very mild, rich, sweet. Berries are a nice addition, but it can be nice with sour cream or alone.
It is really nice as at least to me there is a balance to the sweetness of the dessert.
I LOVE plain cheesecake. Used to make it every few months before my family became homeless. Can't wait to have it again someday LOL

I used to work at a restaurant where I made almond amaretto cheese cake, a would add toasted, chopped almonds to the crust and amaretto liquor to the batter... it was sooo good!

For several of my birthdays my granny would make a Lemon Icebox Cheesecake. Instead of being dense, it was light and fluffy and I loved it so much more than cake. My husband loves cheesecake. My biggest win was the year I made him a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup cheesecake for his birthday. It was chocolate and peanut butter, and it had mini cups in the crust and on top.
