This summer of wrestling news in 2022 has to be the wildest we've ever seen in ages. We've been getting more explosive stories left and right.
Nothing surprises me with Vince McMahon and his heinous behavior with women. I'm surprised at the description of these stories. But I don't believe he will step down because he's too prideful to quit. He firmly believes the company will die without him, and most of us with half a brain will tell you that's not true.
This will be the biggest part of his legacy as a wrestling promoter and it's only going to get worse.

*stands up and applauds* Solomonster hit the nail on the head with this one. This is the absolute best take on all this nonsense I’ve heard. I have seen so many stupid people and I don’t really like calling people names but the people that I’ve seen saying this are absolutely stupid, that they are arguing with people online that think Vince McMahon should step aside and their argument solely is “look it was consensual they wanted to sleep with Vince McMahon and then they took The money to agree to be quiet about it. It’s not like he forced anyone to do anything and then paid them”.
It never crossed their minds either that or they’re just so in love with WWE and Vince McMahon they’re in denial that the company of course is going to try to paint the best picture they can. Of course they’re going to say it was consensual. But there are it sounds like at least one or two ladies that have come forward and said it was not consensual. And I’ve actually said that to someone and they said in reply to me “ well even if he forced one or two the other three or four were consensual though” i’m sorry but any number other than zero is unacceptable when it comes to forcing a woman to have sex with you.
I heard the stories from Vince McMahon himself in an interview over 15 years ago where he admitted to cheating on Linda and I thought that was still pretty bad because yeah you cheated on your wife but in this interview he was speaking on it like it was all something that happened back in the 80s and he’s been loyal to Linda ever since.
Yes I’m a southern wrestling fan that hasn’t been happy the last 20 years because southern wrestling is gone and I know that doesn’t have anything to do with this but really one of the things that push me away from WWE around 2003 through 2006 was how I saw him treating the WCW and ECW wrestlers. Other than Booker T. just about every one of those guys That came in with a lot of momentum with fans support was jobbed out and ruined for no other reason than because Vince McMahon could do it. Anyone that just ruin somebody’s career because they can isn’t a good person. And someone that does that is also someone that probably has a God complex and thinks they can do whatever the fuck they want to do when there’s no consequences for their actions. So no it’s no surprise at all to hear all of this and then have Vince McMahon come out on TV practically skipping gleefully like there’s nothing that can happen to him.
We’ve known he’s been a lying scumbag for years that had no problem ruining peoples lives simply because they worked at a company that wasn’t his and I don’t care if three or four of these women were having consensual sex with him if he raped even one person that’s not OK. Anyone that still bowing down to Vince McMahon when he walks out to his theme song is a moron. He’s ran his own company as far as the quality of the product into the dirt the last 15 years. I can’t think of one positive thing to say he has done in 15 years. He’s a billionaire and he feels entitled and those are the worst kinds of people. Scumbags with mountains of money that use it to treat other people terribly and that’s who Vince McMahon is.

What exactly,as a woman,do you do when you are being sexually harassed, you're being asked to do things you may not want to and you're being sent unsoliciated nudes and the person doing it is your boss? Who do you report it to? If you say anything you're screwed so what exactly can you do? Pretend everything is okay? Agree to do things you don't want to do and even if you want to it just seems like the power dynamic is so far off because what if you piss them off? They can fire you, they can end your push, and hell, they can kill your career and like you said,Jason,he's not going anywhere. He's going to keep thinking that he can do whatever he wants because he doesn't have to deal with the fallout. I cannot imagine being the women in WWE,who he harassed during the Diva Search era, because you're being degraded on Tv,you're having to parade around in tight, revealing outfits, and when you get backstage you get sexualy harassed by Vince? As far as Johnny Asshat goes I'm literally over here throwing up in my own mouth over the fact that he is married to Nikki and Brie Bella's mother and he found them in a bikini catalouge. I don't even want to think about it but considering what we know now I wouldn't be too surprised that he fantasized about one or both of them calling him "Daddy" while he was looking through one of those catalouges in a hotelroom late at night.

There’s a reason why companies have rules against that, it’s too slippery a slope. And not only did he do it, he apparently did it repeatedly. He cannot stay there under those circumstances.

I doubt his biggest concern at that time was to the fans. The fans weren’t the ones who accused him with these poison pill allegations. That “f em” was very likely at the Wall Street Journal and his accusers since they’re the reason why these allegations came to light.

@@Jeff_Pryce The "F 'em" line could be anything underneath. I mean, why would Vince McMahon make those pointless small appearances on SD and Raw few weeks ago? Nobody wonders why would he go out there, not addressing what's going to happen to him and the state of the company, and not addressing the Stephanie as the new interm CEO. Vince McMahon went out there to show us fans that he's still the boss, and still in charge of the show. That was a FU to the fans who wanted him to stepped down. He knew many fans wished for him to be remove from power for years, and blamed him for making the shows sucks. That was a message from Vince McMahon, telling us fans, and his employers that he's still the man, and nobody can get rid of him.

Only way I see him stepping down is if either the networks or the sponsors talk about pulling out.
Once people's wallets start getting lighter, that's when he'll feel the need to step down.
    Until then? Nah

That episode of Smackdown when Vince came out, you could hear that they were piping in cheers, that there was a lot of underlying boos that were drowned out by Kevin Dunn. I don’t see how WWE sponsors and advertisers want to associate with the company considering they still have Vince there interacting with the female talent at every show, and as head of creative he decides how much TV time the female talent gets. Seems awfully scummy given the stories of him abusing that kind of power.
