- Spent a couple days camping on the worlds biggest lake AKA Lake Superior. We had an amazing time staying at one of the nicest camp sites we've ever had the pleasure of calling home! A few speed bumps along the way, but we made the best of our 3 day trip!

My wife and I tent camped at Lake Superior Provincial Park on the beach about 1980 or so. We spent several days there and explored the area. I also swam in Lake Superior, and yes, it was cold! Just incredible and forever in my memory. Now I get to revisit through your video.

We spend 7 to 10 days every year up on lake Superior. It's just the most peaceful place in the world and I love getting out and exploring the edges of the lake and some of the islands.

Love your videos. As a retired scoutmaster,figured I would pass on a tip about the instant oatmeal pouches. You can put hot water in them & eat it right out of the pouch,......saves on dishes ! Great for backpacking & I even do it at home !

I usually use dried meals when camping here in sweden and it's super convenient from a weight perspective. Also a big bonus that you barely have any dishes to clean! Great video as always :)

Ya bum deal about the mattress, I wonder if there was something else they could sleep on hmmm like the soft sand or pine needles. maybe next time they should bring the bed mattress. poor guys couldn't sleep.

Came here from your heavy rain tarp camping video, something i found to work decent to repel the mosquitoes are these things called "mosquito coils" and you basically light one end and it releases a scent or something that keeps them away. About 11 dollars per 10 pack, and each one lasts around 4-6 hours. Only works if there is minimal wind, but something you could try!
You probably also know this but if you hang your ridgeline 1-3 feet lower you can extend your ground sheet and also your roof. seems kinda silly to have that much headroom if you dont stand up that much anyway :]
I love camping, but down here in South Carolina with 110 F heat index and over 60% humidity along with the bugs it’s not fun haha. Wasn’t fun during my Marine Corps days either. Oh, I didn’t mention the snakes etc
