I love your vlogs because it shows how a travelling foreign family survives in PH. I enjoy even just the updates of your days even through the hard times. I actually appreciated your vlogs during the typhoon in Siargao it was raw and real and it shows your struggles and other people's struggles too and how everyone helps each other. Also don't be pressured to just show us the good times, we understand that not everything is fun and sunshine. Thanks for being real with us. Keep safe you guys!! ❤️

Actually, it’s okay to show the not-so-positive experiences you’re going through here in the Philippines. A lot of vloggers did that. It’s not that Filipinos will no longer watch your vlogs just because its not positive. In fact, your audiences will actually support you, encourage you and understand you believe it or not😊

As a Filipino fan or subscriber who enjoys watching your vlogs since 2020, it makes me very proud of my country. Knowing this, foreign vloggers choose to travel and take the most difficult path for the sake of the family, even when there are many better options, such as flying through airplane. To be honest, I really appreciate this type of video, the sincerity and honesty, which is one of the reasons I chose to stay and watch all of your past lockdown videos, moving to the Philippines vlogs, travel vlogs to Mindanao, Bohol, Vlogmas and more (by downloading and saving it on my phone and watch). Hoping for the best for your family and keep safe as well, learn to rest and it's ok to stop vlogging if you don't want to vlog on a particular day, we understand all of those things.

You are absolutely right and that’s one of the reasons that makes 8MFH family vloggers special! I’m sure it’s the preference of most people to watch happy holiday feelings from vloggers, but that is not reality. You make your choices in whatever you do and stand by it, enjoy & are grateful for the experience when they work out as you’d hope and try to manage the best way you can when problems arise - and they do happen because that’ what life is about! Just keep doing what you do and keep us posted because your true followers just want to know that you are safe, even if kind of worried sometimes… and who wouldn’t be when your concerns are about the weather, something that you might be able to avoid but cannot control. You have all been very brave to make this journey and I think there are others who agree with me. I have learned a few things about my own country, thanks to you without faking your experiences, tactful but real. You are almost home and I’m crossing my fingers for better weather, for you to reach Siargao safely and find that the island is not as bad in shape as you fear! I remembered the couple, Chris and Carol of Jumping Places(travel vloggers), when they were stranded in Palawan due to lockdowns in 2020, they rented a small house, uploaded almost daily of cooking videos of Filipino food that they prepared and ate. They never expected that a lot of viewers(mostly Filipinos) were very eager to see how they liked their cooked food(especially the process of walking to and from the market to the dining table). By the way, I wish to see more of Story's painting activities while you're there and even when you're all already at ur home in Siargao. Keep safe always.

@@kamelyoj3711 Jumping places are real travel vloggers. They don’t have a home base ‘cause they only stay at least 2 nights in a place. They came back to the Phil. last Nov. and stayed a month jumping from one island to another. Now they’re in Thailand after a quick visit to Singapore. Their Filipino supporters are following them wherever they go. I like their vlogs ‘cause they too tell what it is no sugar coating, no personal drama as they don’t include personal issues. Their contents are focused on the beaches they love, prices and foods they ate. It’s enough to know they’re husband and wife.

You have to be built out of hardier stock to live there in some ways. Even though it's a newly industrialized country, outside of Metro Manila and Cebu, the country is still quite poor. I think you guys are real; your viewers will watch you good or bad times. I do not like the overly up beat vlogs, they are a dime a dozen on CZcams. I think what draws people to your vlogs is how real you are. You guys are great, keep it real, we love you!

I’ve been driving from Manila to Bicol.. in Albay. Driving down south is really tiring. Not fun, but you have to find ways to entertain yourself. One is talking your passengers or listening to music. But driving up north in the Philippines, like Ilocos Sur, it’s fun. Tiring but fun. Road conditions of road down south compared to road going up north is really different.

It's nice to see your vlogs featuring the good side and the bad side of your journeys. It makes it interesting, not boring. Be careful though of the changing weather in the Philippines.
It's typhoon season during this month. Take extra precautions. It's better to book your lodgings away from the ocean.
Good luck and good health to all of you.🥰🥰🥰

Just show and tell what it is. Filipinos already know. I grew up going through stormy weather, nonstop rain until it floods as well.. yes, to the roof. We learned to just find fun things to do even in a bad situations and live in the moment. And they’re some of my fondest memories. Now that I have kids here in US it makes me wish that we are in the Philippines. It’s not easy for you who grew up in the west. But for Filipinos and Filipino spirit, there’s always a rainbow after the rain. That’s what we dwell on and look forward to. Just do you. And that’s ok. It’s better to be real. ♥️🇵🇭🇺🇸

Eastside of Samar and the Visayas takes the brunt of the weather coming from the east. Most people just take the time off and chill out. It's not cold and actually nice, if you don't mind getting wet. Beats the heat. Traveling thru flooded areas, with bad roads and landslides could be a problem. Drive on, and keep smiling.

Its not raining that much here in Luzon. I am here in Pangasinan (north of Manila) we dont have rain here. Usually, during the "Ber" months especially from November-January the rains are usually in south part of the Philippines. The north part have the rains mostly from July-October. Glad you showed the lights of San Juanico Bridge because staying here in Luzon maybe we will never get to see those lights on the bridge. Stay safe.

thank you for still pushing through in uploading this vlog. i mean, that's life right?! i go to CZcams to watch something entertaining, still, i appreciate videos that are still in touch with reality. born and raised in the Philippines, i know and i have seen how beautiful my country truly is - the people, our food, and our culture are absolutely amazing. but i am also aware that living here long-term is not picture-perfect and frustrating at times (a lot of the time actually). so thank you, for being real by showing both the good and the bad of living here in the Philippines as a foreign family.

When you started your drive from Siargao to Manila, I told my partner all about your plan and we both thought it was so unique and brave of you to try. As locals, we have never even tried anything remotely similar to what you’ve done because we know it’s not a walk in the park. Considering we have thousands of islands, the Philippines has crappy inter-island travel. That’s just a fact. The government doesn’t give a rat’s ass and our “Filipino resilience” is born out of necessity even though we deserve so much more. You’re right to be aware of this being a true choice of yours and it’s amazing that you can be grateful and positive for the most part. For most locals, there is little real choice of circumstance. Just a choice of wether to be happy or not.
All the best to you four - am a big fan of your channel and I am here for the happiest moments of awe and joy, as well as the real, gritty everyday trials that you choose to show.
