  • Traditional Korean house is called Hanok(한옥).
Not only Hanok itself is very beautiful and artistic, but living in Hanok means a lot of things.
First, you can be one with nature. Hanok doesn't destroy neighborhood environment; in addition, it is designed to fully enjoy the nature.
Second, you can be healthy. When you live in Hanok, you don't need harmful air conditioner or heater. Hanok makes the most of natural wind, and its Ondol(온돌; Korean floor heating system) system warms your cozy place.
Third, Hanok is extremely convenient. Let me give you an example. If you want to widen your place for any reason, just lift the doors. You can change Hanok's each small room into one wide place.
I hope to live in a Hanok someday. :(
Let's enjoy the beautiful Hanoks through this video~ XD

I love how the walls can be hung up so the whole house turns into an open pavilion. I'd love to lounge in such a house and enjoy the airy shade in summer.

What I love about the hanok is that it's simple and yet so beautiful. By just looking at pictures and videos, I can feel it's calming effect to one's body and mind. My ultimate dreamhouse is a hanok.

This video was GREAT! There are so many beautiful aspects that needs to be mentioned, but for me I specially like the heater system! I've read that the heater system is called On-dol, and that practice goes back thousands of years! Ancient wisdom and beauty all wrapped into one, the Korean Hanok! Thank you for uploading this! Love you Koreans!

    Gorgeous !!!
Traditional Korean House is well being life style house with earth friendly, health friendly material without metal such kind of nails.
In the Bible in order to make Alter any kind of metal should not used only natural shape as is .......likewise Korean traditional House constructed only with wood and earth clay and stone ! Natural curve is respected on the loof top !
