    Your way of tracing the fault is very nice and perfect , I like the way you handle the sets , calmly and easily.👌👌

    The most common elusive problem we encounter in electronics troubleshooting; gadgets where some manufacturers using these adhesives that turns into a dried substance, overtime, that causes corrosion on the component terminals. More often they create a short path resistances that can affect the circuit during operation.
    A dried part of an adhesive literally turned into brittle dark brown colour will give a reading below 50 k ohms on the RX100K range on the multimeter. To a beginner these are sometimes unnoticed, so its better to have thorough inspection on the circuit board, a keen observer with a good eyesight.

      Lock like the manufacturers have a purpose of using that adhesive. It gets resistive over time and the circuit will fail.

      @@tevzTVTevatronics Commonly seen on amplifiers, these kind of adhesive, the purpose of it is to make the electronic component intact and wont detach due to vibrations and heat such as electrolytic capacitors and slot boards. On some old CRT televisions, Computer SMPS units, they use silicone glue or a glue stick.

    Maybe you should have removed the two capacitors and connector that were touched by that black gunk and remove it completely, then reinstall them if the leads are still decent. Now you fixed the resistor but a few months from now the leads of the capacitor near it may break apart, or the header nearby.

    Hi dear tevz again and i saw something new. It seems that
    The differene 21 ohm can not caused this problem and i think when this resistaer in the circuite and turns on the set 350 ohm turns into the megga ohm and so the 17 volt is ubsent or high less !!!
    What do you think tevz?

    It's the glue that assists in the corrosion?

    Hi tevvy boy. Do you bother reflashing eeproms in plasma TVs. Have a plasma Samsung boot cycling. Think it's going in the bin

      Did not yet tried. I don't encounter that trouble in plasma tv.

    Hi engineer
    How did you determine the amount of burnt resistance?

    • @tevzTVTevatronics
      @tevzTVTevatronics  Před 11 měsíci

      Not change the value alot, if the resistor didn't snap, it will still works.
