- Great PB. First try Glizzy Gallop (2:42:45) and Shadows Skip(7:56:55). Punis suck. One mistaken encounter away from sub 8 hour 30 minutes. Grind continues -- Watch live at / silverroxas

"We can't have fast text anymore, but we can have correctly sounded naked Peach walking around." LMFAO I'M DEAD 5:39:08
I mean its true and i gotta think of something funny to say while i stream runs
Congratulations!
Just keep cranking runs man, you’ll get the sub 8:30
GG on this run as well ❤
Good Job
why is this speedrun so much longer than the 2004 TTYD? I mean what's different?
No Text mashing means every text box has to fully fill on its own. Slower battle menuing, some new cutscenes, absolutely zero movement tech and literally everything speedrun related from GC was patched out. so despite new QoL changes, the run itself is much slower
prob less skips and slower text/ui
I didn't even watch yet, so this is based largely on assumption, but: did the Power Bounce and Multibonk timing nerfs really slow the run down that much compared to the glitchless and even 100% world records on GC?
Its the slower text speed and slower battle menuing and added new animations actually. power bounce being frame perfect really only slows down hooktail if you miss them, rest of the bosses there were plenty of work arounds for minimal if any timeloss
@@SilverRoxas Honestly, I'm surprised that there isn't a proper fast-forward mode for dialogue in this remake, unless it gets added in a patch.
Likewise, I'm also kind of surprised that Double Pain isn't available sooner and there's no Double Pain P. Heck, a dedicated Hard Mode badge would have been better still. One idea I've had for it would give both Mario and partners the following effects: Double Pain, Unsimplifier, Hp Drain, FP Drain, All or Nothing x2, and Money Money. It would be hidden behind an object before Lord Crump in Rogueport Harbor, and it would cost nothing to equip. I'm not entirely certain if it would be "fair" to have it give enemies double HP as well, but I have seen the GC version beaten with mods/codes/etc. that give enemies double damage and HP (or maybe even more...). At the same time, Bug Fables takes its own, more varied approach to its hard mode options...
I personally didn't notice the battle menuing being much, if any, slower
The japanese version must save an hour or something with all the unskippable text boxes
We actually play with simplified chinese, its faster than Japanese
3:0:0 and I'm in favor of a true remake. Meaning partners can't use items. Remake by definition means to remake the same thing. Not slightly different just saying
GG! Sub 8:30 Soon!
