Jenny died of cancer on March 18, 2022 at the age of 26. Werner cried a lot and did everything for her and cared for her until the end. My admiration and respect for Werner for such love for his animal. Jenny also loved him very much and laid her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes when he petted her. I think this horse has had a happier life than some who are cooped up in small, cramped boxes for 23 hours all day and then have to perform at their best for an hour a day. RIP sweet Jenny!

I want to live in that town...
Imagine a town allowing 2 horses to walk by themselves..
It's the people that amaze me in this town. Horses being allowed to be Horses is a beautiful thing to see.
Notice no one had to sack them out from being fearful nor use pain bits to keep them under control. They simply acclimated to their surroundings naturally because they are not spending their lives locked away in tiny stalls in solitary confinement. That is no life for a horse. They only sleep 2 hours a day in 10 minute increments. They need to be able to walk, graze, & socialize.. Lovely she had another horse most of her life.. They are heard animals & need at least 1 other of their own kind.
    Just Beautiful.

Many places here in the US this could - and has - happened regularly. We used to have a horse that would manage to get out of her pasture at least once a month to go visit the horses about 3 miles down the road. The other mate would stay home, but not this gal! She was a social butterfly, LOL! It's really not that unusual out in the rural areas of the USA, either. And no TICKETS, either! 😄😄😄😄

With over 760,000 inhabitants, Frankfurt is by no means a small city. The district in which she lives has only 18,000 inhabitants. In the morning she walks along the river to her paddock and back in the evening. Unfortunately, she currently has cancer and is therefore being treated by a doctor. The doctors give her a good prognosis.
